I'm not giving a poor review because I stayed there. I was not able to make it to Baltimore that day.
I was not able to get a refund. We were not able to make it to Baltimore that day.
The hotel is a fun place to stay. The staff treats you like you're part of their family. The staff wear their own clothes, and the casual atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. We didn't know that we had a microwave and refrigerator, or a hot breakfast buffet until we got there. It was a nice surprise, and we took advantage of all three. We will definitely stay at the Brookshire during our next trip to Baltimore.Special thanks to Yolanda at the front desk!
Location was great, staff was friendly
Room smelled of smoke, even though it was supposed to be non smoking. Otherwise the room was very nice.
I was very pleased with the location of this hotel it is just a short two block walk to the harbor. The room was comfortable and the kitchenette was nice to have available although I did not use it. It is definitely decorated in a trendy style which was a nice change from your typical hotel. The other people staying there were mosly young couples. The hot breakfast that was included with our stay was great! It was a nice selection of items.
There was very little I didn't like but I did not like that there was no iron available in our room. There was also no towel bar on which to hang our towels. I would have preferred that the bathroom be a bit cleaner (the tub was stained and there was dust in the corners).
Spacious suite with coffee making facilities, fridge, workstation. Very good breakfast with wide range of foods. Staff were always attentive, polite and courteous.
Rooms were a little on the dark side. Our room faced the main street and a lot of street noise, sirens could be heard, particularly on the weekend days.
Enjoyed the unique design of the hotel. The valets were particularly helpful and pleasant. The location is great.
The one poor guy working the breakfast service was completely overwhelmed. While he did his best, everything kept running out, and dirty tables were everywhere.
Loved the location. Couldn't ask for a closer location for Inner Harbor.
The bed was a problem. It was too soft and we kept sinking into the center. But, we're used to a king size temperpedic mattress and this was just queen. The "extra costs" really made the price go up. When you add parking and tip and city tax, location tax, and hotel tax -OMG it went up anther $50 - $60.
The room was nice and clean. Lots of room...
I wish they would have parking that you do not have to pay for.
The shuttle to the inner harbor and the breakfast
the wear and tear on the room. The carpet is gross and the bathroom fan is useless.
Staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Cocktail party and breakfast were first-rate. Great location.
The assigned room was lousy. There are burn marks on the carpet, the inside of the shower curtain is full of mold, the bed is way too soft, and there were no coffee mugs or coffee in the room. The room's "view" is of a brick wall on the building next door...four feet away.
Bed Bugs we left at 4am in the morning because it was so bad. No lounge or restaurant in hotel.
Accomodations and breakfast.
There is a $10 fee that you must pay every day. This is for internet (which I didn't need) and breakfast/happy hour. If you use the benefits, it is a good deal, but you should state it when booking the reservation. Plus parking is very expensive ($29/day) and should be noted.
Good size, comfortable room. Good location
Poor customer service
I thought it is in a decline phase. No one seemed interested in c`leaning the place well. The elevators could be beautiful but were disgusting. There is an attitude of laziness amongst the maintenance staff and the day manager did not seem like she was capable of handling the issues.
