Staff was nice
Strange odor in room
Everything was more than what was expected especially the beds. I slept like a baby- I wish I knew what type of mattress it was so I could purchase one of my own
Pros - breakfast was included, above average contintental, bed linens were fresh, Starbucks within walking distance Cons - is the grout in the bathroom supposed to be black, in mall parking lot, high traffic area We stayed over Thanksgiving and I am glad this was just a place to sleep a few hours before going back to the inlaws. Bathroom is tiny, with curved shower rod or the average person could not take a shower. Not very clean and the door barely closes once inside. Bed was nice, linens fresh and room smelled fresh. Basically all in one room with microwave and fridge to right of door as you walk in the room. Good drawer space and tv worked well with many chanels available. Coffee maker on desk. Lamps need updating had trouble with switches. Free wifi with password from front desk. We had a drive up room (number 122) that was on the highway side and road traffic motorcycles in particular could be heard at all hours. Bonus: the night we stayed a shooting occurred at the mall! Will no...
I was staying for only one night. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient.
Checked in but did not stay. I have stayed at a lot of Fairfield Inns and this was more like a Bad Motel 6. The room was small and had very old and worn furniture. There was no closet and the ironing board was handging on the door. It had OUTSIDE facing rooms. Our rooms TV and telephone did not work. To its benefit they did come and try and fix the TV and did get new phone. But it was just too much to know that I would have to stay a whole weekend at this place. It was just too depressing.
We went there to see my son come in to Ft. Bragg from Afghanistan. All the staff in the hotel were wonderful. They always had a greeting for us and a smile. After all the families coming and going, I sure it was stressful for them. From the desk clerks, to the housekeepers, to the maintenance men, they always were friendly and pleasant. The room was clean and had most everything we needed in it. The location was great. We were right at the mall and just down the street to numerous stores and restaurants. The base was easy to get to. The city itself is not the best, but this hotel was in a very good location and I felt safe there. I saw security walking around at night. Overall, it was a very good stay.
Encountered large roaches at this property. Hotel manager advised this is normal for this area in summer. I advised manager that a good pest control company could resolve the problem. Management appeared unconcerned.
The room was average size, the bathroom was small, but the AC worked wonderfully and the front desk was friendly. For internet access all they had was a laptop in the main room which you had to get the desk person to put in a password. It didn't have a mouse so I got frustrated cause I'm not used to laptops. Not too difficult to find easiest way is to just follow the mall around. Smoky Bones is very close and Lone Star is accross the street. I would stay here again.
It was a very clean hotel - a priority for me, though asked for a N/S rm but still smelled it in the bathroom late @night from the vent, but very close to everything. Price-wise - a litte too high, very standard, however, can't ever pay too much for cleanliness.
