If you want to be able to walk to all the shops and resturants this is the place for you. If you want a large, clean, comfortable room, this is the place for you. If you want a friendly staff then this is definately the place for you!
* convenient location * friendly/helpful front desk staff * very comfortable beds * very clean * quiet A great stay for just a 2-star hotel. We were quite pleased. Only con: old-style heating/cooling system. Not enough of a con to avoid staying here however.
This location has a motel section and cabins. My wife and I were fortunate enough to get one of the cottages. I'm sure the motel part is great, but for those who remember traveling and only having little cabins to stay in, it was a step back in time. When we check in the clerk was asking all of the places we inteneded to see while there, and printed out discount coupons if they were available. The location is great to walk to restaurants and shopping, and centrally located for the sights of the area. Would go back in a minute.
This hotel was cute and cozy. It's not a five-star hotel but we got what we paid for. Room was clean and area was quiet. Don't expect a nice lobby, pool, and the whole nine yards, its just a hotel room and thats it. It's close to the historic downtown area, Pikes Peak, garden of the gods, dwellings, and many other touristic sites. We could literally walk down to the little shops. Only downside is that everything closes/shuts down by 9 or 10 PM. I was told that its a family/tourist town which is why they close so early. So if you are there to have a good time and party this is probably not the place to stay. Even though there is this one bar we found ourselves going to every night, The Keg. It was your typical bar and it was never crowded or anything, very laid back. Great restaurant (Mona Lisa) is just down the road, it's pricey so be careful. Overall our stay was great and didn't have any complaints.
We had a pleasant stay here. It was winter, and the place was uncrowded. But the staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the location was great. Hard to ask for more.
The Villa Motel was located close to the shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean and large- even with a king size bed.
When my husband and I went to Colorado Springs for a family reunion, I tried to find a motel with personality in an interesting area. We loved Manitou Springs (the historic town near Colorado Springs where we stayed) and the privacy of our little cabin. but the main Motel looked very nice also. We used the carport for shade and shelter from a rain storm plus also had the modern conveniences of good t.v. and Internet. It was clean and everyone was very helpful...we will stay there again if we go to that area!
Last year we had a problem with our car window and these folks went above and beyond to help us! First they lent us tools, then came out to help, and finally helped us tape it up till we could get it into the shop. We will stay here every time we go to Manitou Springs - as a matter of fact, I am making plans to stay there next week!!
A little old fashioned looking on the outside. Rooms were very modern and well maintained. Having an in room fridge and micro was great. Excellent value for the area.
Great stay over the holiday. Rooms are large, clean, and tastefully decorated. Pool was small but warm. Loved sharing our breakfast with Angel. Enjoyed walking to restaurants and shops downtown. Would definately stay here again.
