I liked that parking was "free"(although they charge you a hotel fee so i guess it isn't really) and the rooms had a refridgerator already in them. There was a convenience store close by. The hotel was quiet and not as busy as the casinos down town.
It wasn't downtown. I thought the walk would be a little shorter but due to the construction sometimes it took a little longer. Also, there was no casino for gambling.
Nice river view room, clean
No mention the property is distressed financially, spa, pool and restaurants are closed for "renovations". Not a lick of construction activity could be observed. Front desk at check in, shared the casino " closed last year" and will not reopen when the property is rebadged in 2016-17. Other guests were equally mislead and frequently mentioned their opinion of the deception when
the rooms were nice, clean. the staff was every friendly overall a nice hotel. if you are looking for just a hotel. Karl the bar tender was great!
the web site shows a casino and restaurants. the only place to eat there was a Johnny rockets. the a/c hardly worked and was every loud.water pressure was really weak.
The hotel room was cleaner than the rest of the property. The hotel is in the process of becoming a No Smoking and No Gaming property. Which for me is a huge plus
Hotel under renovation as it is converted to Renaissance. Had trouble finding hotel due to lack of signage. Air Conditioner unit is in room with no thermostat control Mattress was extremely uncomfortable Rooms were not well insulated for noise. Noise in the corridor all night long.
Friendly staff. Accomodated us with our request for early check in for free.
There was a hair in the towel. Casino was closed for renovation.
Staff put us in a room that wreaked of smoke. Called front office 3 times to get a new room, no response. Angry, I called again to complain, Front Desk hung up on me because "I was raising my voice". Front Desk then called back, like they were doing me a favor, and with lots of attitude, and said they found a new room. A half hour later we had a new room that was smaller, without the two Queen beds we paid for, but didn't smell of smoke. One elevator had a key reader that didn't work, so we couldn't get to our room unless we used the other elevator. Before staying here, I would share a sidewalk with a homeless person and sleep on the ground.
Bed was big enough. Bathroom was spacious. looks pretty on the outside & lobby. Self parking is huge. Affordable pricing.
Pillow was too soft. Shower head was old, water pressure was too soft. There was no vent in the bathroom & couldn't lock the door. Not enough outlets to plug near nightstand & speaker dock was only for iPhone 4, needs to be upgraded. Casino was closed.
Good value for money
I loved the restaurant inside, good food. I liked the swimming pool and how it looked inside. The staff that cleaned the rooms were nice.
I didn't like the small rooms, for the price. Bathroom was small. The slot machines weren't good. Inside the gambling area, not enough action. The server that was bringing drinks on the gambling floor, was not friendly at all. They need to bring better slot machines and entertainment to get more people in there. Seems more business like and not a kid friendly place. Alot of people working there, didn't seem happy. Could be due to the rumor they're getting bought out next year.
It was a great price, clean and had everything we needed!
There was a constant tapping sound every few hours out the window. You have to walk through the smoky casino to get to the restaurants.
Room was comfortable and quiet
Breakfast options in the hotel were limited, did not try the restaurant/bar, but it looked nice.
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The rooftop hot tub was lovely. I enjoyed happy hour at Whitewater and AYCE sushi. Nice view of the river from my room.
Smoke smell from the casino invades the "smoke-free" lobby. Room was fine for one, but a bit small for more than that.
Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Asked for non pet friendly room which I did not get. My allergies were bothering me the entire time. I almost had to go to ER because of pet allergies. The noise from street and train station were extremely loud. Went to coffee stand to purchase cookies & coffee the price charged were more than posted price. They should change posted price or cover it up on the cookies since they doubled in price. The stool in casino was urine soaked I sat in it, gross, they came and removed it. This casino seems to attract drug users &street people trying to get off of the street for the night. Very dirty and smells unpleasant a lot of the time.
The spa and spa staff were excellent! Room was too small. Bed comforter was not on the bed upon arriving.
Access and parking were very good and check-in was friendly. The facility was a little "tired", but clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a great beverage at the bar's happy-hour and ate a very nice meal in the Whitewater restaurant. The staff was excellent.
The latch on our window was broken and the window couldn't be completely closed; that let in more noise than normal from the nearby trains.
The staff was very friendly.
Between the train and the downtown noise, it was difficult to sleep.
Everything was super nice was a good experience wanting to return
Rooms were nice. Clean and comfortable. Location worked out well for us. The spa was nice and refreshing for our massages.
The whitewater restaurant was absolute garbage. You could literally watch them take the food out of the freezer and reheat it. Very bland and poor quality. For the price I was expecting a bit more quality. We had a rowdy bunch in the room next to us that made sleeping a bit tough but it's a crap shoot on who will be next to you.
