Only because of the cheap rate we got from Expedia was this hotel acceptable. There was no one available to take bags to room. Breakfast was very ordinary. Sufficient English spoken by most staff. Overall staff were friendly and obliging

We stayed at this hotel during the busy final weeks of the Shanghai Expo. This hotel appears to cater largely to foreign tourists, as we encountered many Americans and Europeans during our stay.

Gutes Mittelklassehotel in unmittelbarer Nähe von Bund und Nanjing Road

Was within walking distance of the Bund. The surronding neighborhood was a nice blend of Shanghai. Nice places to eat within waqlking distance. Tours right from the hotel.

The Hotel was reasonabily priced, the drawback was the building / construction noise of the many building projects in work. The rooms were a reasonable size and the beds comfortable The cleaning of the room was disapointing, usually missed.

The hotel was what we wanted, an individual, 'Chinese style' accommodation not part of a large group. Extremely well-situated within easy walking distance fo the BUND, not too close to a Metro station but taxi fares were cheap and plentiful. Our Standard room was clean and comfortable with separate sitting area. Good large bed with clean linen. Excellent buffet breakfast with 'Egg-wallah' for freshly made omelettes or fried eggs; enough choices, western and oriental, to make lunches light affairs. Our departure was delayed due to the volcanic ash cloud over Europe and our stay could have been lengthy; we would have re-booked had we not got away after 2 nights in a somewhat inferior airport hotel.

The hotel was comfortable with a lovely view of the Bund, however, the only bad comment I can give is the amount of hawkers outside the hotel. They constantly harassed us every time we stepped out, selling watches, postcards, suitcases, etc. You name it they can get it. It got annoying very quickly! The hotel staff never discouraged them. It was as if they had set up headquarters outside the hotel. These hawkers did this to all the tourists that stayed in the hotel.

It was one of the cheapest hotels we could find on Expedia and decided to go with it. It comes with a breakfast buffet which was fantastic! It's about 5 minutes walk from the Bund and about 15 minutes walk from the Nanjing S Road subway station so it was relatively convenient.
