homemade breakfast was awesome. better than 3 star hotel breakfast. i believe i had made a great decision to stay this place cus I couldnt see any better place while I was driving the area. The Inn was located very close to the south entrance means you dont need to drive extra 25 to 30 miles. The room was very clean and quiet. I hope other people also enjoy their stay at this place. It is my first writing review after the trip. nothing.
Location was close to Yosemite, and the room was clean. We got just what we needed - close, cheap stay to the park. It's a budget hotel but it's a good value for your money. The breakfast wasn't great, but I wasn't expecting it to be.
Good value for the money. Friendly staff at the reception. Breakfast area a little small, but staff is very fast to respond with filling and cleaning. Overall very good experience.
Hotel room was pretty clean and they had a good breakfast. The receptionists were friendly. It was 15miles away from the south entrance of Yosemite National forest, I wish it was closer.
They were very kind and welcoming. Great location and close to The Pines Resort where are friends were getting Married. It was a non smoking room but the room was either previously one or the previous guests did not abide. That was the only thing negative to say about this great, affordable Comfort Inn.
Comfortable beds ( two queens that we were looking for) and location, close to south entrance to Yosemite NO. Worn- potholed parking lot, worn furnishings, some cat box smells from the lovely 3 cats.
The friendly staff are happy to share the colorful past of this historical hotel and its conversions from cattle ranch to post-WWII military hospital to Hollywood getaway to the family retreat and special occation hotel it has become today. All the rooms have character and special touches to achieve the overall Western feel of what was originally a ranch. The resident cats are friendly and fun to see around the hotel: Hunter greeted us at the reception desk along with Moo; Valentine (or Valley Girl) was usually curled up somewhere; and if you're lucky, you'll see John Wayne sauntering around the grounds. Our corner room (Sarah's Room) was wonderful! We loved being there and hearing the stories of the ranch. Our only disappointment was the restaurant is only open Thursday- Saturday and our stay began on Sunday. Next year we will plan better so we can invite our family to join us there for dinner.
Can't believe how lucky I was to find and spend 3 days at Joy and Clay's lovely B&B, Yosemite Bed and Breakfast. Our room, The Sierra Room, was both private and well stocked. All the rooms have private entrances and bathrooms. The rooms are also air-conditioned, which is an important option when it really heats up. High speed internet, helps you keep in touch, if you'd like, ot the outside world. And, if you choose, you can watch satellite tv or a dvd, in your room. The grounds are well kept with plenty of seating options to enjoy the outdoors setting, including a Barbecue grill for evening cooking. I absolutely loved having my morning coffee outside while watching the little territorial humming birds zip around the feeders. The cottage has a full kitchen and a lovely view of the canyon below. The pool was a fun option for my sons for cooling off in the warm summer weather. Breakfasts were a full American style, delicious breakfast served on fine china. What a trea...
Fantastic experience, great hosts, visiting deer every morning. mariposa was very nice area also.
Love the wonderful breakfast. They also give me lots of helpful information and the snacks and bottle water really make me feel like stay at home.
Hotel Employee were phenomenal. The breakfasts were so delicious. And the room was quiet, clean, private. LOVED the quiet and birds on the back deck. We SO enjoyed this place!
This was such a wonderful experience that I must begin with the owner's comment when my wife and I arrived late after a very trying journey through the high Sierras. He said 'hello, you must be tired from your travels, let me show you to your room' I have travelled around the United States and have had the pleasure of staying in some very fine establishments but I never had anyone say that to me . The room was wonderfully appointed with way more than we could ever use, splendidly clean and famously comfortable and deliciously quiet. Then came breakfast, so wonderful with so many home made side dishes, fresh fruit, great company in their kitchen looking out the bay window to the Sierras that I could have remained there all day. At night we sat out on their expansive deck looking at the stars in our universe in the quiet, then we went to bed, then we hated to leave. I felt like I was leaving my own home . Don't wonder what this will be like, just enjoy it.
The place is fantastic! Awsome, friendly people, out of the way, and quite. Its about 45 min. to inside the park, but very nice to get away from the business of the valley, at Yosmite.. Great morning breakfast too! this place goes great with the overall experience of the National Park. it s just beatiful!! they make you feel right at home. Thanks Joy and Clay, we hope to be back in the future!'
Wow. This was our first B&B and we were wowed. Joy indeed lives up to her name and made sure that all the guests felt right at home. It showed as the guests mingled beautifully. Ah, to wake up to the sound of wild turkeys and incredible breakfasts. Hope to meet Clay next time.
Less than 5 minutes away from South Entrance to Yosemite
This place COULD be cool in the summer, when things are actually open. Still nothing special, though. I booked the place since they advertised a hot tub and a cool-looking bar and restaurant. When we got there we were told all of those things were closed for the season. We tried to get a partial refund because of the false advertising but they were uncooperative.
Charming, beautiful, and such wonderful service. We will definitely come back again and again. Nothing. I couldn't come up with one complaint. It was a perfect stay.
The hosts are wonderful, with great advice on places to see when you don't have a lot of time. Our room was extremely comfortable and spacious, with a sitting area and fireplace. This is a great place to stay if you're going to explore the Yosemite area.
Location from town. Would not like some of the front rooms, we were in the back.

Location. Size of the room. Walk in shower. My overall experience was affected primarily by the noisy tenants above! It wasn't the room itself. Very impressed. Our unfortunate experience was upstairs noisy neighbors up most of the night. I was awakened several times!
Had a Bed and breakfast feel but still had the privacy of a hotel room. Walking distance to great food and quaint shops. It was still about an hour drive to Yosemite but the nicest on the outskirtsz
There was nothing we did not like. We enjoyed our stay.

right downtown in walking distance to everything
good stop over before Yosemite. Very clean and the people are very nice.
I really enjoyed the room. It was clean and very country like. The bed was very comfortable and homey. no continental breakfast in the morning, which I didn't realize. the woman at the desk didn't go through with me what was included.
Excellent location for accessing Yosemite national park and sequoia national park. Unfortunately, there was a plumbing issue, but it was minor.
Nothing! A rat hole full of spiders ! The bed of old rough wood. No place at all (2 sqare meters) No table, chair or shelf to put our things. Everything on the dirty floor. A SHAME at such a price ! I am not ready to forget it. Very small filthy bed... Everything.
Beautiful views, incredibly friendly and helpful staff and a very comfortable stay It would take awhile for the room to be cleaned, but that was only because I think there's only one housekeeper. She was very good though
The customer service is very good. We woke up the manager at 2 AM and she was polite and shifted us to a different cabin. They even refunded us the whole money without a question or haggle. The Manager apologized and even promised a free stay next time. We found bed bugs in our room in the night. I had read good reviews about the cleanliness here and was surprised to see this. We were furious and called the Manager in the middle of the night. We didn't like it that they didn't clean the room properly.

Très bien situé, très pratique. Confortable. Personne n'a pris aucune responsabilité.
D'un accès facile en voiture Douche ne s'écoulait pas bien
Walkable distance to restaurants and shops. Not too far from Yosemite. Room was clean. Owner was nice and helpful. Smell of curry everywhere is a restaurant. Room was right next to the lobby and the elevator. Kinda noisy. When we asked for another room, we were taold all the other rooms were dirty. Windows were facing the sidewalk. Vending machines are not working, had to ask the owner for assistance. Didn't have a microwave in the room, although it was supposed to be there.
A nice clean hotel. Great location, great value for the money.
The staff was very nice and helpful. Located right in the heart of Mariposa so you can walk to shops and restaurants. Bed was very comfortable. It was a little pricey for room, but to be fair it was July.
Location, towels and bed. Overpriced for what it is.
Ease of check-in/check out. Breakfast. Convenience of location. Window blinds in bathroom were filthy. Noise and all night lights from adjoining restaurant/kitchen outside bathroom window were annoying, had to keep bathroom door closed. Heavy drapes in bedroom covered air conditioning vents preventing air from venting into room.
Close to Yosemite but the hotel staff is terrible They were short tempered. They hung up the phone during the conversation. They asked us to use a pump on the toilet by ourselves (probably though we work for them)
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable room close to Yosemite.
Close to Yosemite National Park. Cute carved bears. Quite noisy, on a truck-filled highway, even after I specifically asked for a quiet room. Only a continental, not full, breakfast. Room needed a facelift; not attractive at all. Uncomfortable bed Hall carpet was filthy. No TV listing. Quite weak Wi-Fi signal. These are a lot of weaknesses for a three-star establishment with a $120 rate. I won't stay there again.
Nice place, good price, not far from the entrance to Yosemite. Clean. Lobby is being remodeled. Room was spacious. I would stay here again. Toilet and shower/tub were a little old looking. But worked fine and clean. Breakfast could use a few more choices. Some hot foods besides toast would be nice.
They surprised us with a suite with a huge balcony which was wonderful. Clean & lovely staff. Oakhurst is a small town with little to offer for fun. Breakfast is a cattle call with everyone fighting to warm their bread or bagel in 2 toasters. Oakhurst is much further than I'd imagined from Yosemite.
Had big rooms and had offered a good breakfast in the mornings. Beds were comfortable. That I wasn't told there would be an immediate Room charge deposit placed on my cArd until I left. since I had already paid for the room prior I was expecting that extra charge right when I checked in.
