Stay away from Budget!
Points positifs : They gave a car...
Points négatifs : Absolute nightmare to work with these people. Rude customer service. Sneaky people trying to find any fault with the car to charge the insurance. Had to fill in paperwork because of a tiny rock chip. Good luck getting a hold of anyone to make any changes to the reservation. Ruined our vacation.
Not the car I reserved
Points positifs : The customer service agent cancelled the reservation for us at the desk.
Points négatifs : We were going to be given a Subaru Outback as a standard size SUV. There is no way that that car qualifies as a SUV, let alone standard size. They had no other cars they could rent us. The excuse was that that was the car that was set up in Budgets "list" of approved cars for that class. If that is the case, then Budget really needs to review their list. The desk agent was nice enough, but one of the workers that came in reeked of smoke and was not very pleasant to her when she had asked him if the full size SUV (an actual full size one, a GMC Yukon I believe) was available. He got a bit gruff and said that we could have it if we only wanted it one day since it needed an oil change and some other work.
Points positifs : The vehicle itself
Points négatifs : Budget added their insurance to the rental fee. It ended up being very expensive!
Points positifs : The car we received had only about 3000 miles on it and it was a nicer car than expected.
Points négatifs : The car was very dirty when we picked it up. Chocolate on the seat, greasy fingerprints all over the interior. We mentioned this when we picked it up and asked if they could fix it. To which they said that they had just run it through the carwash and vacuumed it. The had no other clean cars with which we could exchange it. We called customer service and they gave us one day free and told us we could exchange the car at any budget location. We did. When dropping off the car we had to wait 30 minutes before being helped. The attendant was spending a very long time chatting with a customer and playing with their dog while a line of 3 or 4 other customers waited.
Points négatifs : I ended up cancelling my car rental after the tire fell off the rental car a few miles away from pickup. They were unable to get me a replacement car because they couldn't release a new one to me until they collected the damaged one, and they could not find where they had towed their car to. It was a nightmare.
Points positifs : Customer service accommodated me with a returned car that hadn't been serviced.
Points négatifs : Car I reserved was not available.

Points positifs : Best rate out of everyone. I needed a mini van at the last minute. Van was clean, shiny and brand new. On time. Counter was easy to work with. I picked it up at a site not at the airport. Discount for prepay rental. About $13 dollars less than posted online.
Points négatifs : Customer service on the phone was confusing. I called at night and it sounded like I was talking to someone from the phillipines and she was going off of a script. I had to ask her to repeat what she said. Having worked in call center I get what it's like so I cut her some slack but they should drop their script to be more engaged with the customer. After prepaying the rental at a discount, the lady transferred me to someone else probably also from. Phillipines selling vacation plans. "Congratulations you won" The guy was friendly with accent, he made a good conversation with me. I didn't want to purchase anything or looking to book a vacation so he was cool with it but hung up abruptly.

Points positifs : Ils ont donné une voiture...
Points négatifs : Le cauchemar absolu de travailler avec ces gens. Service client impoli. Les gens qui cherchent à trouver un défaut avec la voiture pour payer l'assurance. Il a fallu remplir de la paperasse à cause d'une minuscule puce de roche. Bonne chance d'avoir une attente de n'importe qui pour apporter des modifications à la réservation. Nous avons gâché nos vacances.

Points négatifs : Budget y ajouter une assurance pour la location. Il s'est avéré être très cher !
Points négatifs : J'ai fini par annuler ma location de voiture après que le pneu soit tombé de la voiture de location à quelques kilomètres de la prise en charge. Ils n'ont pas pu m'obtenir une voiture de remplacement parce qu'ils ne pouvaient pas me la libérer avant qu'ils n'en aient récupéré la voiture endommagée et qu'ils n'aient pas pu trouver où ils avaient remorqué leur voiture. C'était un cauchemar.
Points positifs : Le service à la clientèle m'a accueilli avec une voiture de retour qui n'avait pas été entretenue.
Points négatifs : La voiture que j'ai réservée n'était pas disponible.
