Dear Kayak, Just want to give you some background about Days Inn in Chowchilla, Ca. many friends and I have stayed here for the past Four years every Aug. 31 through Sept 2. The rooms are fine for what we need them for so there are no problems there. But the past Two years We have made reservations by calling them a couple / Three months ahead of time so we are sure to have a room. Last year they took our reservaiton and when we got there they tried to move us to another Inn, We told them that that wasn't going to happen and were firm on it explainging to them when we made the reservaitons and why. Now, this year Aug. 31 we go there and they say we have to go to a differnt Inn and there's nothing they can do to accomidate us. We wern't happy about it but we had no choice. Now comes to this past weekend when I made the reservation through Kayak. My brother and I (he is handicapped) drive 2 1/2 hrs from our homes to Chowchilla, We arrive there at 3:30 pm I go to the office and they procede to tell me that we don't have a room because of construction and they are moving us to the Chowchill Inn. I can't understand it so I explain to them how I booked it and that we should have a room if they accepeted our reservation through Kayak. They said due to room construction there is nothing available.... THEN WHY DID THEY TAKE THE RESERVATION!!!. Why are they letting Kayak and other services like your book rooms for them if they are going to displace there customers!!! It's wrong and you should now about it and talk to them about it. This is the Third time it has happened to us and I can assure you it won't happen to us again. I know 9 people that are done with Days Inn Chowchilla. We drive 2.5 hrs to get there and no room!!! WRONG!! The Chowchilla Inn doens't accept pets and I had my dog with me. No other hotels in the area had any rooms available, the closest was in Merced about 15 miles away and then it would have been aother 15 miles to get to where we needed to go. Days Inn should have called us or somehow let us know ahead of time that there was noting available, it's just bad, bad business, period..... We are seriously thinking about calling Michele Finney on "Seven on your side" and letting him know about this crappy place. You too should do something about it because it is making you look bad too. They shouldn't be taking Reservations from anyone when they know they are most likely going to move you to another hotel. We are all pissed off and done with that place. Nerver again!!
Stayed one night on a touring vacation. The room was spacious and clean, the beds very comfortable. We had a small fridge and micro, and the A/C worked great. Very pleasant stay at a very reasonable price.No complaints, would recommend.
The staff never bothered you. My personal pet peeve. Minor: The remote control was shoddy at best.
The room was clean and comfortable for the price. The 20.00 up charge for a worn out fold away bed.
La gentillesse du personnel, la tranquillité de l'hôtel. Il n'y avait rien que je n'ai pas aimé.

L hôtel est de construction recente (2008), tout les aménagements sont donc pratiquement neuf. Une salle de fitness très bien aménagée est mise a disposition gratuitement 24h sur 24. Il y a également une piscine extérieur avec jacuzzi. Des frigos sont disponibles dans chaque chambres ce qui est très pratique. Quand au petit déjeuner il est extremement varie et très copieux. La seule faiblesse est qu il se trouve au mieux a 1h30 de voiture de l entree du parc du Yosemite.
Hotel agreable, propre, offrant de bonnes prestations Je viens de constater qu'un prelevement par carte bancaire etait en cours sur mon compte alors que j'ai regle mon sejour en espece (cash) en quittant l'hotel. Pouvez-vous faire le necessaire aupres de l'hotel pour que ce prelevement soit annule ? Merci d'avance
