Staff was polite and accomodating. The other guests were very loud at 3 am but that's not Sheraton's fault
Dog friendly and FRIENDLY staff No hot tub No double beds
Had a broken coffee pot in the room. Asked for it to be replaced and it never was. Not very good service
There were guests making a lot of noise security did nothing about it.Awake all night.
The elevator on the left is the fastest elevator I've ever experienced in a hotel. My rate from booking.com didn't get properly transmitted to the hotel, and I had to take about half an hour to get it set straight, including calling booking.com and having them call the hotel. Not a huge problem, but kind of a hassle. :)
The staff is uninterested in guests in my opinion. It is very clear this hotel has not been renovated yet like the other Sheratons. Perhaps it is largely a corporate clientele, given the lounge is not open on the weekends and such. Overall, if you can stay somewhere else, do so. See above
It was convienent and had free parking
I loved the staff. they were so helpful and accommodating. The rooms where clean and nice. They had a pool, a really cold pool. Nice breakfast variety. Mattress was hard as hell. (Think sleeping on the floor) and we tried a few beds all the same. They over charged us and we had to get Kayak/Booking to fight them to fix it. No bathtubs, only showers.
The breakfast was first rate!
view guy smoking outside while i waited for a ride
I really want to compliment the staff. Every person I encountered went above and beyond to be friendly, pleasant and helpful. The hotel had everything I needed and the price was reasonable. Even the garage was well lit and easy to manage ($17 per 24 hours). I would return.
Didn't like you had to pay for parking when we were staying at the hotel anyways, also for that amount there should have been continental breakfast offered.
The service at the front dexk The fitness center
J'ai bien aimé il n'y a rien Tout
Propre, confortable, et calme. C'était un peu cher. Il y a un Starbucks dans le lobby qui était super. Le personnel était merveilleux. C'était un peu cher. Le parking était un peu dangereux.
Nothing The hotel appeared to ok until I walked in. The guests were very rough in appearance. The parking lot was contested with tractor trailers, usually a sign of bad things happening inside. I noticed a heavy air freshener smell when I walked in. When I got to my room, it was very strong like they were trying to cover something up. I was exhausted from traveling and just wanted to go to sleep and without a cancellation policy, I decided to deal with it. The bathroom had such a strong perfume like smell that I kept the door shut. I didn't even shower!!! My clothes smelled of this for hours the next day. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I will be reviewing this hotel on other sites as well. Stay away!!!!
We were put in a room with a light that didn't work, plugged into an outlet that was hanging out of the wall. My daughter almost immediately said that she was having difficulty breathing (she has asthma), and found mold in the bathroom. After some sleepless hours, I contacted the front desk, and they arranged a room change. The second room was much better - cleaner, better kept up, and my daughter noticed the air quality difference immediately. Everything was fine after that.
I booked this hotel because I had a conference to attend in Hartford. Though a little nervous because some of the reviews, I decided to book because MONEY is MONEY and a penny saved is definitely a penny earned in this economy. I got a room with a King Bed. It had Cable TV, a nice hot shower and free wireless and i paid $50.. I dont see how you can complain.. its not the Ritz and I am saving a lot of dough for the basics.. I would stay again and I would recommend this for anyone that is on a budget.. no, dont go here for your honeymoon but a quick night or two is just fine..
this place was pretty nice..i came here for the concert at dodge theater and it was really convenient
Staff are rude and swear at you. Stale donuts and coffee. Will try change rates from what you book. Not pet friendly as stated on website. If you lock yourself out of room don't ask for another key or to be let in. You will get a hassle. During snow & ice storm they do not salt walkways or parking lot. The list goes on. Worst stay of my life. It was a nightmare.
Saving money is not all ways the most important thing. This place had leaky toilets, it was dark and dingy, it smelled of smoke even though I asked for a no smoking room. I would not stay here no matter how much money I save.
I stayed here for my visit to Trinity College in hartford.. the hotel is a great value and offers free high speed internet.. its basically a great place for someone on a budget (like me!).. clean rooms, friendly staff, basic amenities for me and the best of all FREE HIGH SPEED Internet! kept me entertained and busy during my whole stay..
I had enough reward points for a free night. Never again. The room was dirty. Even though it was a non-smoking room, it smelled of stale smoke. I was itchy the entire time. My guess is that they have bed bugs. So happy we arrived late and left early the next morning. Even for free it wasn't worth it.
I had to take a huge liscencing test in Glastonbury, not wanting to spend more than $* I chose the supposed 3 star Econolodge. It was awful, the first thing I asked was if there was 24 hour security, I had to change rooms 3 times, first because I didn't have any of the amenities I was told I'd be provided with , second time because the internet didn't work (after arguing with the 'manager who told me I was lying cause his direct connection was working), and in the third room I didn't have an alarm clock but didn't feel like talking with the arrogant, unhelpful, rude manager/secretary/only person at the hotel. Oh and I had to clean all of the rooms I was in, I literally asked the 'maid service' for supplies and went to work, dead bugs, ashes, and hair, that stuff grosses me out. The icing on the cake was that I couldn't sleep all night.
I was supposed to have a room with 2 beds but there was only one. Also, the bathroom was broken and didn't close all the way. The room serves its purpose as a cheap last minute stay but don't expect anything comfortable. The wifi did not work.
I was worried when we arrived and they told us they had no hot water that night and tried to put us into a room with a smaller bed. However, they changed things immediately and the hot water was restored within the hour. It's an older motel with no frills, but is clean and very inexpensive and they do try to make things right for you. The free wireless isn't advertised -- make sure you ask for the login information!
WE ARRIVED LATE ON A FRIDAY NIGHT AND CHECK OUT EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. WE KEPY TRYING TO SWIPE THE CARD THEY GAVE US FOR OUR ROOM AND COME TO FIND OUT THEY GAVE US SOMEONE ELSE'S ROOM. THE PERSON THERE OPENS THE DOOR WONDERING WHY WE ARE TRYING TO GET IN! THEN WHEN THEY DO GIVE US A DIFFERENT ROOM, SOMEONE TRIED SWIPING THEIR KEY INTO OUR ROOM! THE STAFF APPARENTLY DID IT AGAIN TO US! IT WAS SCARY AND I FELT REALLY UNSAFE THE ENTIRE TIME. THAT ONE NIGHT THERE WAS A REAL NITEMARE. THE FRIDGE SMELLED ALSO! JUST SPEND A FEW EXTRA BUCKS AND GO ELSE WHERE...SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE!
We spent one night in a room in this motel for an important work the next day in Hartford location. Our overall experience was pretty bad, and I haven't ever stayed in a worse motel for that price (approx. $50/night). Here were the pain points:\n\n1. The bathroom door just wouldn't close. The latch/door knob was not working properly. We had to put a wedge as well as a trash can filled with water to keep it closed.\n2. We heard four heavy bangs on the wall (sharing with adjacent room) during the night. My initial thought was that bullets were going of, but was somehow able to convince my wife that we might be wrong.\n3. We could hear the TV from the adjacent room the whole night.\n4. Hot water took 20 min to start coming in the shower in the morning.\n5. In order to register these complaints, we went to the office to find absolutely no one there. The staff comes at about 7.30 AM but we had checked out before that.\n\nWe will never return to this motel.
Room and bathroom were clean. Parking is not included in room rate. This is not clear on the hotel's listing on Kayak's site. Room and bathroom have the charm of an old dorm room. Breakfast is minimal--continental. The bargain aspects of the hotel would be ok if parking was included. With the fee for parking, the room rate is not a good value. We would have gone to another property if we knew that parking wasn't included in the room rate.
The front desk attendant was wonderful. She helped us with cab information and offered us toothpaste and deodorant as we had forgotten to pack ours. Excellent location to attend an event at the XL Center. A little run down. Wallpaper peeling, dusty. However, I noticed they were in the middle of renovating the entire hotel so I assume these flaws will be gone soon.
It was very close to downtown. Just about everything. It wreaked of cigarette smoke and they said it was under renovation but the room and halls were still old school and nasty.I was afraid to put my babies on the bed. The exposed part of the king mattress was stained with who knows what. I was disgusted. Breakfast was meager.
The continental breakfast was decent. The hotel was extremely lacking!!!!! There was mildew/mold in the shower, the wallpaper was peeling in several places, the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were messed up, there were burn marks on the rug, the room smelled like smoke/musty, and the lock was broken on the door. The signs said they were updating, but I didn't see any work in progress. It was pretty gross.
Staff was amazing It looks old and warned.
Smell. The place appears run down.
The staff was friendly and service driven. I liked everything.
Large room and bed Was old and outdated. It did look like they were attempting to update stuff so that's a good thing. My bed wasn't made properly and the sheet kept coming off.
Sketchy area, stained furniture
Nothing Filthy room. It smelled, hair every where, cobwebs, toilet wouldn't flush, and the shower wouldn't drain.
Carpet new and recently painted Very close to downtown Hartford Had to drive to restaurants Very basic breakfast
it was in a good location inside Hartford away from downtown but close enough for everything we needed to do. The price was right. The breakfast was mediocre. The in room coffee maker was not replenished every morning. There were no tissues in the room.
There was a concert going on. The Hotel was a night mare. They sold all other parking spaces for $40 that night and the concert crowd trashed the out side grounds with trash and beer bottles and even partied in the halls after midnight in large groups. The cops had to kick them out I WILL NEVER GO TO A SUPER 8 AGAIN ! Staff was slamming doors and using vacuums and power tools in the hall way outside our room from 3 am to 6 am !! !!! Horrible experience I WILL NEVER GO TO SUPER 8 AGAIN !!!!!!
Wasn't bothered by staff Everything was dirty. Some toilet amenities appeared to have been used. Remote control had to be used with a plastic bag over it because it was so dirty.
I like the ease of checking in and checking out. I had to wait until 1 pm for my room but that wasn't a big issue. The Erotic Zone club being located next to the hotel was a little shady.
It was by far the worst Super 8 I have ever stayed at. The breakfast was constantly missing cinnamon rolls and there was a constant line at the waffle machine (because the waffle machine, microwave and cereal were all crammed into the same corner). The waits for breakfast was so long, that I gave up on the second day and started walking to the McDonalds around the block. One day, I didn't even receive maid service. The bathrooms needed some paint touch up. There wasn't a place to hang my clothes. By far, the worst hotel I have stayed at in a while.
It was very dirty, the sheets were extremely old with holes. The room had a peculiar odor. I went to a funeral and it was very late to leave and get another hotel.
Our room reeked of cigarette smoke but it was only --- a night. The staff was super friendly and our room served it's basic purpose.
Although the bathroom was clean there was mold on the ceiling there was a big hole in the cover on the bed

Front staff very nice Cigarette burns in sheets in non smoking, dirty toilet, old soap from previous stay, damp rug
The price was great The non smoking room smelled like something had been smoked in there recently, either cigarettes or crack.
Price. It was a dump. Non smoking room smelled like cigarettes. Floor was falling apart. Cigarette holes in the sheets.
It was outdated and dirty It was outdated and dirty
Floor not vaccumned. Sheet washed but stained, plumbing problems. No shampoo or conditioner. Some of the limited TV channels unviewable. Not 2 stars. Nope
It's close to downtown Hartford's attractions a broken door, a badly fixed toilet seat and holes in every bedsheet, linen and towel
Nothing Broken deadbolt lock. Non working over bed lamp. Shower curtain with holes. Bad smell in room
They had a great staff very friendly and helpful maybe. The hotel all in all was nasty. I got a smoking room burn holes in the sheets. Wrappers left in the room from the last users. Its wasnt worth the ---$ i paid for it i slept in my car.
