BASICALLY WAS GOING TO STEAL OUR MONEY
Points positifs : That I, myself, called to confirm the pick up, and found out I had time to cancel in enough time before a horrible mistake took place.
Points négatifs : I called to ask about my reservation that I had booked weeks prior. I prepaid for the car using a debit card. The man on the phone informed me that I was not going to be able to pick up my car at the destination, which was 2,000 miles from home. I asked why I would get a confirmation email from Hertz saying that the car is booked, and the money cleared out of my account if they didn't intend on giving me the car. He said you HAVE to use a credit card to pick up. I again asked why no one contacted me. He told me it was a good question. That was his answer. The funny thing is, if you cancel the day of your pick up, you dont get a refund. So, Hertz was going to let me pay them hundreds of dollars out of my debit card, not get the car I paid for, then want me to do a separate order with my credit card to get a car. Paying double.
Didn’t get the rental
Points négatifs : I didn’t get the rental because in this area they don’t allow people under 25 to rent a car even though on the Hertz website it say that they will just charge a underage fee. Communication on the under 25 rules should be more clearly laid out because the only thing I read about that rule was there might be an added fee not that I would be unable to rent it.
I booked an SUV but got a van
Points négatifs : I went to Vermont traveling to mountain area. I knew with the weather and road condition I would need an SUV. When I got there Herz gave me a van (as an upgrade). It is not an upgrade but they had no other cars, this big van drove like a car but heavier and longer. I could have paid for a smaller size car instead of paid for expensive SUV and got worse than a car.
Better deal, quicker service than at BTV
Points positifs : The service was fast and efficient. They didn’t do any of the “hard sell” techniques for add ons that you neither want nor need—-a rarity when renting at most places. The return was simple and straightforward. To top it all off, we saved $250 by renting here instead of the airport.
Points négatifs : Since it is not at the airport, you have to arrange transportation (a short ride) and it is not always open.

Points positifs : Great weekly rate. Flexible. I called the day before and asked to pick the car up in morning instead of late afternoon and they did it without hastle. The Nissan Altima got phenomenal gas mileage.
Points négatifs : Car exterior had not been washed, but that is Likely because I picked it up early
Excellent service and vehicle
Points positifs : Although this Hertz is not located at the Burlington Airport a quick and inexpensive Uber ride will get you there. And it was much cheaper than renting from BTV. Once we arrived at this Hertz in South Burlington it was smooth sailing with wonderful service from the young men at the front desk. The car was in excellent condition which gave us peace of mind with all the driving we did in Vermont. We would definitely rent here again.
They did not have a car for me
Points positifs : After waiting 30 minutes they didn't have a car for me.it was terrible!!!

Points négatifs : The reservation sent me to a car rental pickup that wasn’t even at the airport. Terrible!
