Points négatifs: Unless you're skiing or at the water park, this place is overrated. Garbage all over sidewalk near entrance of hotel. Air conditioner did not work, bathroom sink separate from toilet and shower area (awkward having to open doors to wash hands).
Points négatifs: I thought it was connected to water park but it is a separate area; a different hotel on property connects
Points positifs: Scenic location
Points négatifs: The odor in the room, the large unpaved parking lot that was a long distance from the hotel, the lack of any restaurants and other amenities within reasonable proximity.
It's a manufactured ski resort (no town nearby, no atmosphere.) it might be good for skiing but not worth the drive or the $ for their small, crowded water park.
Points positifs: The diner in the hotel was surprisingly good. Good food, good value.
Points négatifs: Very noisy rooms, expect a bad nights sleep. Water park is far smaller than the photos suggest (if you can stand the noise, your kids will lose interest after an hour or two of waiting in lines.) The hotel overcharged me, apologized but no refund!
Points positifs: It went green.
Points négatifs: Yes the breakfast was buffet (below average) and super expensive. $50 for 2 adults and 2 kids.
Points positifs: The resort was amazing! Our kids loved the Pump House indoor water park and did not want to leave. The staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist us. We are making Jays Peak our new family vacation destination!
Points positifs: We were at Jay Peak for a wedding and were pleased with the accommodations.
great skiing and resort atmosphere
Points positifs: cottage layout and cleanliness, accessibility to shuttle bus
Points positifs: Small but cozy rooms. The restraint serves excellent food too.
Points positifs: It was quite and calm
Points négatifs: Too expensive for the space given. No room to workout.
Points négatifs: Room was hot with no AC upon late night arrival, staff was nice and brought us fans the next day but our first night was uncomfortably hot. Also the water has a smell and taste that isn't very pleasant. I chose to brush my teeth with bottled water.
Points positifs: Retro ski inn with a great staff in a perfect location. The food served is on point. Perfect place to stay while skiing Jay.
Points négatifs: Tv and rooms were outdated but I wasn't there for these amenities.
Points positifs: It was a quaint hotel with a nice public space downstairs. Fireplace felt very good as it was a very cold day. Staff was very friendly.
Points négatifs: Room did not have as many beds as I expected. The shower stall was way too small and very hard to shower in. Our room must have been located directly over the kitchen as it was very loud with banging noises and a radio playing. Too expensive!
No public space except at the restaurant downstairs which had chairs and tables but lighting was set to low so reading was difficult. It was also loud during dining hours and we had to compete with dining customers for space.
Points positifs: Parking at the premises was free and convenient. Food was the only other good thing ... DO NOT STAY HERE
Points négatifs: Do not stay here. Housekeeping did NOTHING. Bed was awful. Room was cramped. Cigarette smoke from kitchen area drifted up to our hallway and room. Cold were halls, room, bath. Thermostat setting for room temp did not function. DO NOT STAY HERE.
I would recommend going for the winter season because there will probably be more to do when you get to Jay.
Points positifs: I was very with the attached restaurant, it was delicious! Also the rooms were small but felt like home so it was nice to stay there 2 nights.
Points négatifs: Because it was in a small town and it was not the season to be there I think the service was a little slow and not always there 24/7 but it was really a great place to stay.
The first room they gave us had flys and lady bugs all over the ceiling and window. The second room, very small. The tv was on top of the frig. (which was the biggest item in the room?) the bathroom was big, almost half the size of the room.. in the bathroom. the tolet seat was cracked, the ceiling fan cover was falling down, the shower head was huge and shot water out like needles. The lighting was poor. Just poor space management for that size room. I have stayed in b/b alot but this was not good, no coffee set up down stair for guest. In this area other than the large add very nice lodge at jay's peak ski resort, There was no other hotels to stay at.. The inn was WAY OVER PRICED.At an average price ofxxx per night for three nights. I guess if you are there for only the sking you might over look some of this. The grill down stairs was nice and the food was good.
