Points négatifs: We had an issue with the bathroom door. The mechanism was broken and so one of us got locked into the bathroom. Maintenance was on sight immediately and was prompt about fixing the situation.

Points négatifs: The possibility to take the taxi to the airport for 18 euro is rip-off. We asked the hotel if 18 euro is the regular price for this trip or not and we were told that this fixed price is absolutely the normal price. So we trusted in the judgement and paid more than twice as much as it would have cost according to the taximeter! That was really a pity because we really enjoyed the stay but in the end we felt a little bit cheated.

Would be better to offer a welcome drink on site than steer clients to a place with the worst service we’ve ever experienced.

Points positifs: People working at the hotel were exceptional, full of great suggestions, really welcoming, warm, and professional. They made all our reservations. All the restaurant recommendations were great. Breakfast had great cheeses, cold cuts, different kinds of cereal and granola, fruits, yoghurt. Eggs were made to each guest's specifications. Room had really high ceilings and tasteful decoration. The large living area made returning to the hotel a delight. The location was extremely convenient. Walkable to many destinations, like Chiado and Principe Real and close to metro.

Points positifs: Nous avons apprécié l’accueil à l’arrivée , la disponibilité des jeunes tout au long du séjour, toujours prêts à nous aider, nous renseigner . A l’accueil , des fruits frais sont à disposition, des bouteilles d’eau , du café , du thé , des chocolats , des plans et des guides . La chambre est décorée avec soin, la notre donnait sur des jardins donc calme . Très bonne literie . Le coin cuisine est très appréciable car il y a un supermarché juste à côté donc après des heures de marche , se réchauffer un plat , c’était vraiment bien pratique ! Le vrai plus : le petit déjeuner royal ! Dans un panier tous les matins devant notre porte ... avec une surprise différente chaque jour , du jus d’orange fraîchement pressé , des petits pains délicieux , une confiture différente par jour ... le grand luxe! L’emplacement est bien aussi : pas très loin du centre , près d’un square . Je recommande cet endroit à 200%!

Points positifs: Very good position to visit Lisbon. Staff was great and kind. Rooms are very spacy. Breakfast idea (baskets at the door) is nice, although they are delivered quite late if you are there for business (or they will deliver them at night, but stuff will not be that fresh).
Points négatifs: Rooms noise isolation is not very great, you can hear a lot others (water, walking, talking, coffee machine). So if this is an issue for you (not much for me) you should be aware of it.

Points positifs: Nous avons apprécié l’accueil à l’arrivée , la disponibilité des jeunes tout au long du séjour, toujours prêts à nous aider, nous renseigner . A l’accueil , des fruits frais sont à disposition, des bouteilles d’eau , du café , du thé , des chocolats , des plans et des guides . La chambre est décorée avec soin, la notre donnait sur des jardins donc calme . Très bonne literie . Le coin cuisine est très appréciable car il y a un supermarché juste à côté donc après des heures de marche , se réchauffer un plat , c’était vraiment bien pratique ! Le vrai plus : le petit déjeuner royal ! Dans un panier tous les matins devant notre porte ... avec une surprise différente chaque jour , du jus d’orange fraîchement pressé , des petits pains délicieux , une confiture différente par jour ... le grand luxe! L’emplacement est bien aussi : pas très loin du centre , près d’un square . Je recommande cet endroit à 200%!

The hotel itself is very nice, lovely decorated, with spacious, clean rooms. The staff is one of the friendliest and most welcoming I have ever encountered. They let us use the shower and common rooms after check out and helped us in every way imaginable. We loved our stay at this hotel and could not recommend it more!

We enjoyed using Casa do Principe with its quiet, convenient location opposite Principe Real Garden as the base for exploring other Lisbon neighborhoods and Sintra. Upon returning to the bed and breakfast after a two-day Porto trip, I'm glad we stayed one more night before returning home. Breakfasts featured a wide variety of local bakery delicacies, fresh fruit (including papaya), yogurt, sliced meats, boiled eggs, teas, strong coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, and more. Points positifs: L’accueil tout d’abord était ultra sympa. La personne a l’accueil a prit le temps de nous expliquer quoi visiter, ou aller et quels transports prendre. Elle a proposé spontanément de garder notre valise mais la chambre était prête entre temps. La chambre était quant à elle, très propre et cocoon. Les peignoirs fournis, c’était top :) Seul bémol avec un coin du drap déchiré dans le lit et une serviette de bain un peu abîmée. Mais ça arrive. La localisation de l’établissement est idéale. Au cœur de tout, cela permet de se balader tout en restant centrale. Attention aux jambes, si on descend, il faut toujours remonter à un moment ! :D Et pour finir le petit déjeuner. Très bon. Le choix n’est pas en abondance mais il est suffisamment correct pour tenir au corps toute la journée. Bonus, on peut demander des œufs, les dames s’en occupent pour vous :) Hôtel au top pour un week-end en amoureux.

Les peignoirs fournis, c’était top :) Seul bémol avec un coin du drap déchiré dans le lit et une serviette de bain un peu abîmée. Mais ça arrive. La localisation de l’établissement est idéale. Au cœur de tout, cela permet de se balader tout en restant centrale. Attention aux jambes, si on descend, il faut toujours remonter à un moment ! :D Et pour finir le petit déjeuner. Très bon. Le choix n’est pas en abondance mais il est suffisamment correct pour tenir au corps toute la journée. Bonus, on peut demander des œufs, les dames s’en occupent pour vous :) Hôtel au top pour un week-end en amoureux.

The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and it feels wonderful to have a villa in the middle of the mountains. Had a very peaceful time here and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Portugal, I would definitely go back! The owners and staff were extremely kind and accommodating, even taking in our dietary restrictions when making breakfast. This place honestly has the best croissants in all of Europe. My entire family can't stop thinking about them.

However, the view on the street was good enough. I was informed that I have paid (upon booking) the amount of € 64,86 (offer). However, when I checked-in I was informed by the staff that the total payment was approx. € 71. I am not sure if this problem is related to to the hotel management.

Points négatifs: I am reluctant to give a negative review but as the guest house has not replied to my email, here goes. On the 4th floor yet again. A male guest managed to gain access into my room in the middle of the night. He used my private bathroom twice and then persistently banged on my door for 10 minutes. I was very ftightened. My question is how in earth did he get in and why did he think he had access to my bathroom. Cold water would not turn on in the shower, so to avoid burning myself had to skip having a shower in the morning before leaving. Advice. Take an uber and get dropped off at the door. Very difficult to find on foot.

Points négatifs: The shower was blocked after taking one short shower. This flooded the bathroom. Although the hotel changed my room I wouldn’t recommend this basic and grim hotel. The owner is very rude and a lier. I expressed my dislike in the morning when he told me I was able to check out and couldn’t charge my card for the nights I did not stay, held by booking.com. I proceeded to check out and within 2 hours of leaving, he collected a total of nearly 300 euros against my will (from my card). I didn’t authorise this payment. I actually had a normal conversation with him and would have stayed the extra nights I knew he was going to charge me. What he did was completely illegal!!! Don’t stay here.
