Room was very clean and comfortable. Samantha at the desk was very helpful. Elevator is slow and maless horrible noises when it runs. Staff was not thorough in communication with me didn't acknowledge what the incidentals charge per day or follow up appropriately in relation to an inquiry I made.
The pool and beach facility at Lido is perfect
Staff is excellent. Very nice hotel.
I liked the amenities and the location of the Resort. The beds sucked.. I stay in 4 and 5 star hotels only and for a Ritz the beds sucked, the sheets were not soft... and I always forget that the rate is inexpensive because they charge you mandatory resort fees per night at check out. Needless to say valet is $24 per day. I feel like I am flying on commercial airlines with the nickel and dimming. Just increase the price and make it all inclusive.
The service and the amenities were great.
The location: right at the beach, and closeby to the St Armands Circle shopping and dining area. The willingness and friendlyness of the staff to help out, offer additional services.
The location and beach are great. The poolside tiki hut is a place I could stay all day, and the pina coladas were great. The rooms are old. Mold in the shower and baseboards are falling apart. Our group had 4 rooms at the resort and all of them were the same (and yes, all had mold on the shower curtain). When paying $200+ per night, you should get a lot more.
To my surprise we were upgraded to the newly renovated rooms in the south tower. We were given a two bedroom suite with kitchenet and double balcony with amazing views. Even though it rained and was overcasted most of the time we still had a fantastic stay, for the simple reason that the accommodations were so great.
Great location, that's about all they have though Paid rate of nearly $350 for a Friday night, tried to check in at 6 room wasn't ready, had to go back and check in again at 7:30. Horrible room next to parking lot and noisy early morning housekeeping carts. Next morning housekeeping was knocking at 10 a.m. to vacate and clean the room. Buyer beware as they say. Won't be back.
The room was old but clean, the bed was very comfortable, The fan in are bathroom did not work, and i thought the chair in the room was very used and not clean.
Hotel seems very popular for weddings and ceremonies on the fantastic beach fronting the hotel. On checking in we were fortunate they had an option available to upgrade to an ocean view room with balcony and kitchen and this room was well worth the reasonable cost of upgrade and made the stay more memorable. The pool bar is great but just wish ot could stay open later than 8pm. The pool bar is great but just wish ot could stay open later than 8pm. Not sure if this closing time is all year round but believe it is a Sarasota State requirement?
Very large room with kitchenette was perfect beach holiday set up. Had breakfast in my room each day helped to save on costs and made sure I was on the beach by 9am each day enjoying the sunshine and the sounds of the crashing waves. Beautiful walks along the beach lead to a nature reserve area and bird life was terrific. Also a fabulous shopping and restaurant area is a short walk away making sure you can enjoy a drink or two without having to worry about driving.
really great place a little to expensive
I liked the proximity to the beach . Our room was filthy. It looked like the only thing that was changed between guests was the bedding... And I'm not even sure about that .
Convenient location. Great view. They have one of the most friendly, outgoing, accommodating and polite staff I have ever come across. Very nice pool & hot tub facilities - separate areas for family and adults - a nice feature. Quality lounge chairs & towels at both the beach and pool. Only ate one breakfast at the resort but the food and service were both excellent. I would certainly return. Set your GPS the first time coming here - when approaching from the north there is a palm tree partially blocking their sign so you could easily drive past the entrance before you realize where you are. After that, it's no problem. Also, use Washington St, etc. to bypass St. Armands Circle as you will avoid slow traffic around the circle. This will bring you right to their entrance.
The hotel being on the beach, cleanliness, nice atmosphere, pleasant personel.
the beach and the shoppes room was old and out dated tiles broken carpet ripped room was just run down.
On beach side of street, so very short walk to beach.
This resort has a small family resort feel about it. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The private beach is nice too. The walk to the beach was a little long.
Wonderful. Will return.
It was beautiful and the staff was great It's far from the main business district and was a bit expensive for a place with no view or restataurant bar of its own the check out is very early
Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and nice. Grounds are beautiful, pool was heated, beach is beautiful. Room was fully equiped, really nice linens, well stocked kitchen, nice size refrigerator. Cleaning staff cleaned room promptly and completely. Check in staff very friendly. Walking distance to grocery, drug store, and resturants. Booking through Kayak was a breeze and price was resonable. Would definatly stay there again.
Location can not be beat: proximity to food & drink, and the gorgeous beach is just a walk across the compound. Nice decorations for Christmas, too. Liked the kitchen. Desk staff was helpful. Bed was UNCOMFORTABLE. Too much furniture for the room size. Check-in clerk had dirty fingernails. Although the room looked recently updated, it's with the cheapest finishes. Broken tile in the bathroom.
The facilities were immaculate, very nice beach area and pool...We loved the quieter location south of the village, very intimate with plenty of nearby convenience. We would absolutely stay there again... Turns out our room was the smallest, it had all we needed but not a sitting area...
Room comfortable and clean. Short walk to private beach. Stayed 3 nights room not cleaned one night. Short walk to some restaurants. Pools convenient to room and heated. Wish they had room with a view of the water.
Hated the 10am check out!!
Small motel like resort. Beautiful siesta beach steps from your room. Very clean, updated and accommodating place. No negative comments at all
Location was convenient to local restaurants and sports rentals Our first room had a very pungent odor. The were very accommodating and gave us a better room. However the bed in that room was old and not very comfortable.
The hotel appeared to be new, very clean and had great amenities. Restaurant on site. Reasonably priced Lobby was understaffed. I incurred long waits for service. Restaurant was understaffed and service was fair.
Staff attentive courteous food in restaurant good large portions. Room clean and comfortable. Photos made it look bigger and newer than it is but it was still a good experience
I landed at the Holiday Inn because of a flight cancellation at SRQ. I booked from the airport, and ended up staying there for 20 hours. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. I also loved the bright design of the hotel. I found a wet used facecloth upon checking in and garbage on the floor, but was too tired to complain. The gym facilities are small and not well maintained. There is no expresso coffee. Location not ideal unless you are going to the airport.
Our room was exactly what we expected. The food was amazing and well priced. Staff was very nice. Did not understand why a handicapped room would be on the 6th floor. And the elevator actually was broke for a time one night. But there was no sign posted to indicate we had to take the stairs. What if we would have needed to get our handicapped aunt down from the 6th floor?
The check-inn staff were friendly and professional. The king suite was big and luxurious. Great stay
Location The rooms are not properly maintained. The first room that we got has soaked up carpet around the AC unit and the remote dies not work on the tv. The 2nd room that we moved to, the AC unit is loud when used in high. Other settings l(ow med and auto) is not enough to cool the room. The shower lever is hard to use unless you have a pair of pliers.
Great location and view. Bed was very comfortable and pool/tiki bar was fun.
The shower heads and water pressure were great. The pillows and bedding were clean. The manager appeared concerned regarding our complaints to the tune of a 50% rebate. He apologized and immediately picked up the phone and addressed our concerns with his staff. This hotel had a 3 star rating on Kayak and was affiliated with Ramada. There were roaches in our room, used soap in the shower, old food in the fridge, we declined to eat any food from their kitchen based upon our room condition, phone line from room to front desk was constantly busy making it impossible to complain without walking across the dark parking lot in an unknown area to the front desk. Area was noisy with people going up and down the stair well next to our room
Inexpensive, satisfactory accommodations.
The staff is top notch. They clearly care, and are doing the best they can with an aging facility. Security stopped me to let me know I had left my lights on. He saved the next day! And the front desk made me feel important and not like a paycheck. The room smelled of mildew from the air conditioner. And the bathroom is very dated. But otherwise ok.
Quiet, pretty view of Marina. Big bed. Well, for starters, the ambiance of the bathroom gave off a very Saw like/murder vibe with the flickering light bulb. decently clean, didn't wake up with bed bug bites. Although the curtains had a pretty narly blood like splatter pattern. Cable only worked on occasion. The wifi might as well be advertised as Dial-up. Old guy at the front desk refused to help us when we showed him our Kayak voucher. Too much for him to handle. But the other guy was awesome and got us in fast. Went to check out and immediately became subject to typical Florida trailer garbage trying to intimidate the front desk woman after she evicted him. Threats to call the police were made. The photos online are misleading. So were the three stars on Kayak.
The front desk staff were personable and friendly Hard to tell if the room was clean or not, due to all the stains and worn areas throughout. Parts of the popcorn ceiling in the bathroom were falling off. The bathroom door kept getting stuck & the doorknob seemed about to come off. The room door had an almost 1/4 in gap at the bottom, which let in outside air and noise, and could easily let in insects.
I had to call the front desk when I wanted the room cleaned.
Did not like a single thing When we first came in the door was pried open, which was alarming. Then we saw the vacuum cleaner, garbage bag and dust and parts of potato chips. Making our way to the bathroom we saw no shower curtains and wall chips on the floor. I did not feel safe staying there.
Location and the tiki bar. Hotel was not what was described on Internet. It's was run down , bugs, rooms damp , dirty and smelled . Door wouldn't shut. Just horrible experience.
The staff was amazing, the room was fine. The food was some of the best we had in Florida, prices great too. Very enjoyable.
Overall the room was clean except the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and we had a really fast check in. No unexpected fees or BS. The staff was nice except at breakfast the next day..she was complaining about a staff member who was a no call no show... and was rude to other guest. The bathroom looked like it had a good huge blood sport next to the tub. The front destination was really nice and offered to change us. The bathroom looked like nobody cleaned it.
Staff were friendly and helpful. My room was clean and pleasant. Had a hard time regulating the room temperature.
It was quiet until morning....Do not get the rooms next to the stairway or help linen room unless they give yoy a discount. If you are in the back, no need to open your curtains because the view is unpleasing to the eye and will put you in foul mood.. It was quiet. Got the most...no USB outlets for my devices unacceptable !!!! The place needs to be updated . Checkout was easy... I think what I payed for the room was too much.... The location was good. I give this hotel a left vertical thumb .
We had a bad experience with another hotel the night before we arrived and the Hilton more than made up for the competitions mistakes. Everything was just as we expected it to be.
Great Staff. Bathtub filthy, shower-head from the fifties. Photos taken.
The best part of the hotel was the location, everything else was average to sub par There was constant construction, people looking in our room window, the pool bar was always closed and no where to get hot food. Also half the hotel is one Palm apartments and there is only valet parking. It looked more concerned to be a club/lounge.
Everything. Very nice room. Enjoyed the bar at night and they knew how to make a good cocktail. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Great location and great staff. Within walking distance to many restaurants and a grocery store. Every room has a safe and refrigerator! The gym is large and nicely maintained. The only free parking is on the street, however I didn't have great difficulty finding a spot in a well lit location for the most part.
location and aloft interiors and cleanliness Staff could be more courteous and professional.
location, location, location no
Location was great, plus the gym was very good room a bit small, room lighting did not provide enough options.
Location and pricing were great and it was clean No
Location walking distance from waterfront and an endless number of restaurants. I was given a room on the second floor with no pleasing view only construction site.

The room was very clean. No
Location was good, staff was attentive and free WiFi was the best! The shower water pressure was awful, some of the staff could e been a bit more friendly for the star level but overall the hotel was very nice.
All new/remodeled facility. Really big rooms with sofa area. Staff was amazing. Great complimentary breakfast. no
Enter room, turn on light, not 1... 3 roaches run through the bathroom. Nice man at desk said he was surprised they spray every month. I asked to have manager call me next day, no one did (I did not stay but they took the money for 3 day reservation) Enter room, turn on light, not 1... 3 roaches run through the bathroom. Nice clean hotel a fair price
Location, cleanliness. For a brief period during our stay, the elevator was out of order. This was concerning because I didn't want to carry all of our luggage down 2 flights of stairs. The good news was that the elevator was fixed within a couple of hours.

very nice, clean hotel with all the amenities you need .last year stayed twice and loved it booked it again this year but there were 5 soccer teams staying at the hotel , so getting any sleep during my stay was impossible, but the staff handled the issue promptly & professionally so i would stay there a

Clean and spacious room. Nice breakfast...but make sure you get down there 30 minutes before cut off. No
While not truly close to the beach, it was a short drive over to the waterfront and worth the savings in room rates. Location was close to the Interstate and convenient to several restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.
The staff was unbelievably friendly and accommodating. NO
Great proximity to downtown dining, shops and galleries. Over firm chair in room.
Breakfast buffet. Room service. Gym. No swimming pool.
Staff was amazing and very accommodating to me and my pet. The food was delicious. The pillows are too soft and mattress was a bit uncomfortable. After a long weekend, I left with a bit of a sore neck and back.
Very modern. Very clean. Nice staff No mixed drinks. Only beer and wine
My family had the most pleasant Stay! The reception staff was phenomenal. I had made a few errors when booking and Chris was happy to accommodate what i actually needed for my family. We love coming to this hotel. Whenever visiting sarasota, this is the hotel we choose for the comfortable and clean rooms, great location and excellent service. Very family friendly. We will be back! Loved everything. No complaints.
