Points positifs : Never got the car because they wouldn’t give me one
Points négatifs : The staff was very unprofessional and rude
Points positifs : Nothing. I called the day before to confirm they would have the vehicle class I reserved, a seven passenger SUV, and they confirmed they would. As we were driving there I called them and they said “oh we tried calling you but no answer.”, and “ya we don’t have that vehicle!” So we had to cancel our trip!
Points négatifs : The service SHOULD have been at the bare minimum...which is actually doing their job! I know your company is closing, so this explains why.
Points positifs : It was easy to book online.
Points négatifs : Local Hertz in Rockford did not have the reservation on file. They accommodated by picking up the van in another location, but that was only because I called ahead of time to confirm the reservation. It worked out in the end. During pickup, the employee that went over existing scratches was not thorough. When we brought up additional blemishes and scratches he just told me to take a picture with my phone. Not very comforting. We did key drop off which was fine. I had left my garage door opener in the van and called the next day and a helpful lady answered and retrieved it and put my wife's name on it to pick up later. My wife went to pick it up and the gentleman who provided customer service was not attending to current customers. He was on his phone having a conversation that can be surmised to be a personal call. When finally attending to customers, he stated to my wife he did not have the garage door opener and proceeded to only check lost and found after being asked repeatedly to do so. When nothing turned up, my wife was about to drive away when the gentleman came running out the door with the opener that had a note attached to it with my wife's name on it. So we did rent our van for our trip and got our opener back, which was my fault for leaving in the van. We will not be using Hertz though at least at the Rockford Illinois location due to the poor customer service.
Points positifs : Staff was friendly until we had a problem.
Points négatifs : Unfortunately, had to use a car reaking of smoke. Agent said if we wanted to wait an hour, they could probably get a car cleaned up for us. Agent had to turn away other customers because no clean cars were available. Not acceptable for a company the size of Hertz. Disappointing.
Points positifs : Staff was very helpful and friendly. Loved the Nissan Versa.
Drop off was quick.
Points positifs : Ford Fusion was great
Points négatifs : Waited 40 minutes for a person to come to the counter to get my key. Was told to put the key in the drop box after hours when returning the car, the slot in the box was too narrow to fit the key. Had to make a second trip back to drop key off the next day. I'll be trying another provider.

Points négatifs : Car was very dirty on exterior, windshield was hard to even see out of
Points positifs : Quick and Easy to rent vehicle. Friendly staff. Straight forward business.
Points négatifs : Vehicle maintenance. We went through some heavy rain while on our trip and the windshield wipers were pretty bad. The alignment needs to be done as well; car kept pulling slightly to the left. We were driving 1000 miles on the highway, it was abit annoying.
Points positifs : The staff was not personable at all. Just was a job. Not much help.
Points négatifs : Returned the car early & yet no discount, not much of a explanation, They just didn't seem to care much one way or another. I rent cars every week for work and if I got treated this way every time I would find a different job.

Horrible Hertz Experience

Points négatifs : Because we prepayed with our credit card we had to pay a $225 deposit for some unknown reason. They claimed this is their policy for anyone who prepays. There was no mention of this when I made the reservation. They refused to let me use a different card for this. Then there was 3 separate charges totaling an extra $23 that I had to pay. Even though my confirmation specifically said $0 due at pickup. The guy at the counter could not tell me what the fees were for. He said "probably some airport fees or something". Hertz customer service people extremely rude and absolutely no help! I rent cars very often and have never had a problem. This was my first and last time going through hertz.
