Points négatifs : Booked an Audi A1 they wanted to give me a electrical Toyota, after some complaining I got a slightly larger Hybrid Toyota still not a comparable car to Audi. Extended for one day they charged as much as I payed for 4 days. There are better options...

The WORST car rental EVER, hands down!
Points positifs : The car got me where I needed and wanted to go on a mechanical level. On every other possible level this rental was a disaster and I honestly cannot believe that is the quality of service that Hertz delivers in Sweden. Never again!
Points négatifs : False advertising, including misrepresentation of location of Hertz facility and rates quoted vs. charged. Zero customer service: literally, from the time I arrived in Sweden and spoke to a incredibly cold and unprofessional Hertz representative on the phone as I sought help in locating the car to the long walk I had to make in an industrial area with no lighting (I am a 64 year old woman traveling alone) to the empty customer service desk greeting me upon arrival to multiple unexpected charges that I could not decline without cancelling my entire contract to the broken GPS that sent me a total of 3'hjureniutnof my way, to same treatment returning the car.... I travel constantly and I have NEVER had such a bad experience with a major brand like Hertz, which I have relied upon in the past for excellence in service and reliability. I am a mediator, and this experience reminded me of why litigious people are so quick to make a claim against a big corporation: there were real damages here. But because I am a mediator I also know that this could have been solved multiple times along the way at almost no cost to Hertz. I won't be contacting you again on this matter, but really: you need to fix this or lose your brand value in Sweden, where there is real competition for the business.
Rental at ARN airport location
Points positifs : Pleasant and efficient personnel. Existing vehicle dings clearly stated.
Rental return at Sveav. 155
Points positifs : Decent price for vehicle and duration. Volvo XC60 very comfortable and roomy; diesel mileage good for the D5 engine.
Points négatifs : Annoying to return to an unmanned station. Could have been closer to public transportation. GPS had a hard time finding the location - Stockholm has lots of construction....
Points positifs : We easily added a second driver at pick up. The return was just as effortless. The Hertz service was impeccable and we will rent with them again when we are in Stockholm.

Points négatifs : Kayak, need to do a better job clarifying the type of car listed at the specific price. Felt uncomfortable when we arrived and were told we'd booked an electric car - which isn't a bad option, except that we were traveling in an unfamiliar country and weren't accustomed to the recharging requirements, locations etc. Had to pay extra to switch.

Hard to change cars and find people
Points négatifs : The window was broken, there were scratches everywhere that was not documented. We were not charged at the end but spent many hours finding someone to look over the car (it was automated service where the keys were just dropped off with us) They gave us an electric car, which we didn't want. They said they tried to call us but because international number, could not reach. They could have emailed us. All in all, we spent about 4 hours figuring out how to change cars and report the scratches. In addition, dropping off the car at Oslo airport was not clear at what location they were.
