Rien à signaler, bon rapport qualité/service/prix.. Check out tôt (au plus tard 10h00), dispose d'un garde bagages.
The staff is exceptional at the Front Desk. Carlos, Yamandu and Marcelo were the best. Always trying to assist us with a smile. It is fabulous that they give the free tickets to the Horacio Quiroga Acquatic Park. Locarion is awesome. You can walk to shops, city center main street.
Service at breakfast should improve. Limited options and when asked for additional bread we were told it is counted for and they can give one per person as per management. The lady asked and she was authorized to give us the extra bread later on.
The guy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. He was the best part of the hotel by far. The breakfast was bread and a slice of meat and a slice of cheese and juice/coffee. The fact that we got free passes to Parque Aquatico was appealing, even though it’s winter. I was disappointed to find that the water park is not nearby at all. It’s a 10-15 minute drive and many of the attractions were closed but my kids had fun for about 90 minutes
It is very old and felt hollow almost. The lobby seems inviting but our room was bare bones. The bathroom was scary with a drain in the middle floor that left a constant sewer smell. No heat in the bathroom and the floor was freezing to walk on. We did not dare try the shower at all. The beds were small singles, creaky, just a thin mattress on a wooden plank with legs. The sheets and blankets were soft from many washes over the years. There was a heater that worked thank goodness. I would never recommend this place unless you like youth hostile type accommodations and I never want to go back.
The staff were friendly and helpful and let me check in at 08.30 in the morning after I got off the night bus from Argentina....so kind! Breakfast was alright, not spectacular but alright. The room and bathroom were clean.
It's called 'Grand Hotel Salto'...but it's not that grand. It had an old school feel to it, sort of like a 1970's lodge. Furniture and fittings and décor were a bit dated. I had a room at the front and there was a bit of noise from the street but nothing too bad. Price is expensive for what you get. It was £60 per night. I think £35-40 per night would've been more in line with what they offer.
Really nice and helpful staff. Breakfast was good but basic
Booked a double room and got a twin. Not the cleanest room
