8,0 Excellent

9,0 Excellent
Points positifs: Staff really attentive and friendly, food is absolutely superb
Points négatifs: Our stay was too short!
9,2 Excellent
Points positifs: Situated at the end of a long single track road which basically goes nowhere else, Ardanaiseig Hotel is a wonderful step back in time. We used it as a base for exploring the surrounding area including Oban, Seil Island & Inveraray though equally it would be a perfect base for walking, bird spotting or just enjoying the natural beauty of the surrounding area. We availed ourselves of breakfast, which was just fantastic, & dinner which, whilst good, lacked daily menu variation. The hotel is genuinely pet friendly and our canine felt very much at home throughout our extended stay. Finally, the staff - the icing on the cake! We were welcomed & looked after throughout by each & every member of the hotel staff. All in all, a great stay & a most enjoyable experience .
Points négatifs: The room TV was old and often failed to work satisfactorily.

Points positifs: George and his staff were lovely. I was in the area to attend a wedding and he and another colleague drove us to the wedding hotel and collected us at midnight. Great service, the alternative would have been a taxi from Oban at significant cost.
Points négatifs: I arrived around 1:30 and would have been grateful for a light sandwich type snack. Kitchens were closed and no food available . Not what I would have expected for a hotel in this location.

Points positifs: We have visited Taychreggan several times and we love its location. Sadly it does need money spent on it to bring it up to a standard that matches it beautiful location.

Points positifs: Staff were very helpful giving us a lift for us to a wedding in another hotel
Points négatifs: Room was tired and the bathroom smelled a bit of camp with a view of the middle of the hotel instead of the Oh and hills

Points positifs: The hotel is in a fabulous location a bit off the beaten track. These seem to be the newest renovated ones. It looks down the lake and has well cared for grounds with nooks and crannies to sit and read and enjoy. The surprises were the croquet pitch, billiard table and lounge room. The hotel has seen better days but that is part of the charm but is comfortable especially if you have a lake view room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ample and typical. You can eat dinner in the hotel but if you feel like a change there is a fabulous inn come restaurant a fifteen-minute walk up the road. The quiet is golden. And the heated bathroom floor.
Points négatifs: The first twin room we were offered was in an old and tired room at the back of the hotel above the kitchen with a loud exhaust fan. Luckily we could change to a lake view room (with an extra charge of course). If I had realized how different the room quality was when booking I would have immediately booked a front room.

Points négatifs: The fact that the hotel closed at 10pm. This was not mentioned on arrival as we were checking in, we arrived at the hotel after a five hour journey at 8pm. We found the hotel doors locked and in darkness on our return from visiting relatives at 10.15pm. Tried knocking on the door, no response. Telephoned the hotel, answering machine was switched on and stated to leave a message and someone would respond within 24 hours! There was a sign stuck up on the front door with the following message - autumn hours, Monday - Friday, 4pm to 10pm. Weekend end hours 4pm to 11pm with no further explanation. Luckily we found a fire escape door open, this allowed us entry to the hotel otherwise we would’ve been locked out. The reason for our trip was to attend a family funeral. Had this been brought to our attention on arrival then we would have returned to the hotel before the stated time.
9,0 Excellent
Points positifs: Friendly welcoming staff. Great bar - decor, ambience & food
Points négatifs: Only issue was the shower which was quite noisy (electric MIRA shower)
9,0 Excellent
Points positifs: Breakfast was very good - especially cooked breakfasts. All thoroughly enjoyed. We did have to keep asking for more coffee and toast though. The shower was really good, however the running noise was heard by other rooms which could be a bit concerning . Family were next door to us so not really a problem - but it could be. We really only used the hotel for somewhere to sleep as there was a large family party, but staff were very friendly and helpful.
Points négatifs: A bit concerned that duplicate keys were left at the reception - this was a kind thing to do - if one of the parties needed to have their own key. However it did send shivers when I seen them 'was everything in the room still', I was not the only one. This probably should have been provided at the registration. Breakfast coffee/toast situation as already stated. When the coffee jug was nearly finished, it made one of the party feel that they didn't really want to say they wanted more. No Lorn Sausage, although good link alternative offered.
8,3 Excellent
Points positifs: Lovely spacious rooms with beautiful outlook and autumn setting at this time of year. Good Scottish breakfast and very supportive and helpful staff.
Points négatifs: Nothing.
9,2 Excellent
8,3 Excellent
Points positifs: Le personnel très sympa Super petit déjeuner Literie confortable
Points négatifs: Hôtel un peu vieillissant
10,0 Excellent
Points positifs: The receptionist in the evening of the day I arrived was excellent and also doubled up as the waitress , proving to be both ban excellent host and very pleasant to engage with. Made me feel valued and welcome. Food and breakfast was easy and very nice too.
Points négatifs: A minor thing, but the TV remote didn't work properly as regards station and volume selection, but I wasn't really interested as working.
8,8 Excellent

Points positifs: Pip and Phil were wonderful hosts. They made us feel extremely welcome and at home. Food was excellent—Fresh, high quality, modern twists on classics. Our party agreed the beds are some of comfiest we have slept in! The pub and restaurant is cozy—exactly what you want in rural Scotland. We would heartily recommend this. If you're on the fence, go: it was a wonderful, homely stay. Thank you!

Points positifs: We were made to feel very welcome right from our arrival and Phil helped recommend walks for us each day. The rooms are very Croft/scandi with a very comfortable bed. The towels are large and fluffy and the shower was great. The food at both breakfast and dinner was amazing - just the right quantity and beautifully cooked. I would highly recommend the Inn and look forward to returning.

Points positifs: The staff were very welcoming and offered to assist us with anything we needed. We were even emailed prior to our stay asking whether we would like to be booked into the pub for dinner the night we arrived. The room was spacious with nice facilities and no TV (nice for some relax time). With only a few rooms available the Inn felt more like a B&B and the pub downstairs offered great food at good prices.
Points négatifs: There wasn't anything not to like about the Inn. But be aware that it is about a 30 min drive from Oban and there is very little else in terms of facilities in the area.
10,0 Excellent
Points positifs: Superbe accueil.

On reviendra
10,0 Excellent
Points positifs: The Inn is loctated in a lovely quiet village next to a stream with the mountains in full view. Perfect for walking or enjoying a quiet weekend enjoying great food and relaxing. The owners were really accomodating, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed 1 night in the Inn in the double room which was very comfortable, very reasonably priced , exceptionally clean and had everything you needed, right down to great books to read (2 of which we are going to purchase) The food was fantastic. All home cooked and locally sourced. I had muscles and rabbit pie and my GF had local mushroom fricassee and Trout. All of which was amazing. They also have a really good selection of wines and beers. The next morning we had a fantastic home cooked breakfast that set us up for our long journey home. Thoroughly recommended.
