Strategic location which near the shopping spots as well as bus terminal. A bit old and the heater not warn enough, and not so clean overall!
run down - not worth the money!
Friendly staff, Helpful, Good Breakfast We had a squeaky bed the taps were to close to the sink basin and the finishing off quality wasnt very good (i.e gaps around the door frame in bathroom)
Room had an exceptional view of the ocean, the coffee/tea service was lovely, staff friendly and helpful. Private bathroom was large and shower was hot, free wi-fi was heaven sent!!! The breakfast was large, hot, and super yummy with juice, cereal, toast, eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, tomatoes. I was so stuffed!!! Parking in front of hotel was "hours conditional-tow away" because of the beach and hotel is on a one way street, we drove past it twice. But I dont blame Glevdon Park for that.
Very, very helpful and attentive staff. Very good location on the beach front. I walked to the city centre twice so the location is really good.
Well, I cant say I really liked anything about our stay, the only positive thing was the location. The room had a strong stale smell in the room I just felt it needed a refurb and a good clean. It was a very tired hotel that needed renovating completly. Also I was very disappointed with the breakfast, we were looking forward a hearty cooked breakfast but all we were offered was toast and cereal.
Good location, staff friendly, good value. Only complaint was at breakfast time on Sunday, 14/11/10, I sat at a table where two persons had previously breaffasted, table not cleared nor cleaned. Cereal stale but the grill was nice. Brought the complaint to the attention of staff when I departed on Monday, morning, 15/11/10
It a new hotel. For the price we pay breakfast should have been included.
Easy Check in process, helpful staff, good restaurant, easy checkout None

The amiability and courtesy of the reception staff in particular and restaurant staff in general rien
tv anglaises uniquement
Location was easy to find. Hotel reception staff were excellent, especially as they had no notice of my booking
Courteous staff and a lovely room. Very clean and the bed was really comfy. Was not able to use the phone in the room without a credit card (I wanted to pay cash).
Excellent room with views over the marina. Particularly liked the terraced area overlooking the beach. Service in the restaurant could be improved.
Very comfortable well designed, stylish room.
Efficiency, restaurant staff charming Food offering pedestrian
Staff very helpful. Extremely good location. Room not ready despite arriving after the check in time
all in all the hotel staff were helpful Yes i paid for this hotel for a friend to stay in who came down from London she checked in very late, when she eventually, unpacked i meet her or a drink to go over the following days proceedings in court, I left to my home and received a call telling me that she had went to use the bath room and found a condom floating in the toilet, Due to the late hour she wished not to cause any problems.I apologised to her and said i will take this up as soon as i can. I am sure this is an oversight but still very embarrassing for me as i had paid and booked this hotel for a friend who was down to give me support and evidence while my court case was on going. Regards Mr Scott
The staff and food at the Bar was very good (see note below) about the Restaurant. Evening Food at the Restaurant was appalling. It's a shame that there is no lounge area overlooking the sea.
Helpfulness of staff.Comfortable beds and exellent food. Limited tv channels.
The swimming pool The milk allocation for the in room tea / coffee was a bit stingey.
Mary and Lin were lovely hosts and made us feel really welcome. They gave us lots of advice on what to do around the area. The breakfast was fantastic, the room was immaculate and really comfy. Excellent value for money!!
An absolute gem! The weather could have been better!
I felt very at home and comfortable there straight away. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful. The room was very quiet. It is a beautiful position, good for exploring Mumbles and the Gower, and also Swansea centre is easily accessible. I left the car at home and found the local buses to be frequent and stress free. I would certainly return.
Appreciated warm welcome from owner who surprised us by offering a room upgrade. Our room was immaculate and a generous size with a sea view. The choice of fruits, cereals, juices and cooked breakfast was outstanding.
Hosts excellent and good food.
nice big family room ,plenty off space for the children parking was a big problem,no sky tv which everybody has these days
every facility - eg vg DVD library, superb breakfast, accommodating hosts front rooms have magnificent views but could be a bit noisy.
A perfect balance between friendly and professional. Lin & Mary couldn't do enough to help. We would definitely stay at Tide's Reach again.
Friendliness of owners. Location - proximity to Mumbles No
The guest house was over and above expectations. Every need was catered for and the owners were so friendly and helpful. All the rooms were clean, comfortable and attention was paid to detail. This guest house really does deserve its 5 stars, it offers exceptional quality and value for money. I wish that all guest houses could take their lead from this one. A true gem. Thanks for the hospitality N/A
The warmth of the welcome, the fact that the house had been restored to its Edwardian origins with painstaking detail .... and the fact that it was Dylan Thomas's birthplace and family home. The proprietor had left lots of excellent information and books to bring Dylan Thomas 'back to life'. The 'hotel' was really good. The only reservation I have is the pricing policy. We paid £300 for 3 nights for the entire 4 bedroomed house, yet there was also a charge per person if we exceeded 2 adults. This is very confusing! I think the charge should either be based on rental of the property, or price per person - not both!
Dylan Thomas House is a work of art and you will never forget your stay. As soon as you cross the threshold you step back into Edwardian times and every room is truly fascinating. It is still a very comfortable hotel but also a truly different and memorable experience.
It was a wonderful experience of days gone by. The children thought it was fantastic as it was like a museum without the barriers!
It was very homey None
The staff left you alone & the cottage was lovely. The heating went off to early (22.30)
Quiet, clean, unexpectely (and fully equipped)self catering. Beautiful views. No soap in the bathroom: Towels galore, all the washing up stuff, freeview amd comfort, but no soap.
The peaceful location.
The cottage was peaceful and relaxing. The views across Swansea Bay and the Gower were stunning.
Excellent views over Swansea Bay and surrounding area. Our sat nav packed up, tried to ring for directions, no one on reception to answer call.
cosy cottage; well supplied;warm; kitchen facilities good;staff helpful. noise outside window early on sunday morning;cold breakfast only.
Beautiful location, not too far out of town, great lodging. They should kill and eat the roosters.
Location, friendly staff, cottage was good with complete kitchen, (bed)linnen was clean, very nice view and good walking trails. Not a english breakfast, we couldn't check out before 9.00 am, very expensive for what you get (80 gbp a night without English breakfast just Continental)
Very helpful advice on finding a place for dinner. Very nice views over Swansea. None really
Lovely location and good general condition. We weren't brought our breakfast and I had to phone in the morning for it - though it did then come promptly with apologies : ) Also, the tv in the room didn't work. Small gripe, but no point in it being in there really.
The staff were very helpful, understanding and flexible (I ordered 2 courses at dinner but then changed my mind and just had starter as was not feeling very well - staff were very nice about it, no problem, and only charged us a very small amount for the starter). They also gave us good advice about nice things to do during our stay in the Mumbles. I think our room was maybe near the kitchen, but a very loud humming noise kept starting and stopping all evening up until almost midnight, not possible to sleep through it.
Good accommodation Very understaffed. Service at breakfast was very poor although the food was fine when it eventually arrived.
The room offered great space and comfort for the price and easily catered for our 5 person family the fire doors caused some health and safety issues for our 3 and 5 year old
Friendly staff, giving local relevant and personal advice on places to eat and buy surf gear.
The bath was lovely and location was good - near to Mumbles and Caswell bay The Tv was difficult to control - decor of the room dated - top of kettle dirty and the room could have been dusted - there was a wedding party on the night of our stay who were very loud until about 1.00 am so we had limited sleep - their rubbish - broken glass bottles, fag butts, empty cans were all around the entrance in the morning when we went in for breakfast. The breakfast service however had to be the worst experience as the staff were slow to seat us - there was mess everywhere from previous guests and the staff seemed unaware of the need for speed, a chap in particular would take one dirty thing out at a time or go to the kitchen empty handed where he could have multitask - we asked for coffee but then had to wait for milk, there was a few juice varieties to choose but no clean glasses - no fresh coffee on offer. The cooked breakfast was nice although the order incomplete. Other guests were also unhappy having to wait for toast and then giving up - general attitude of staff serving was not good. I think the management should take these comments on board to improve this service regardless of wether the hotel had many guess to stay - more staff who had adequate training should have been on duty to cope with the demand.
Very pleasant, helpful staff. Room was very noisy-heard man next door singing enthusiastically in the shower etc! Shower in our room was broken.
Great location, good that they were able to accomadate our dog as well although when we booked they were a little unsure about it. English breakfast was good. Glad that our children were staying else where as the main heating had broken down an the friday and had not been fixed and we were left with an inadequate oil heater, my wife went to bed nearly fully clothed. Also the near riot outside that spilled over from the party would have been very upsetting for young children to listen too.
Staff very pleassant & helpful, excellent breakfast Was an initial mix-up over rooms but quickly sorted
Staff were courteous and helpful Cold shower on arrival but put right by following morning
Good sized rooms, well cooked food, friendly staff, excellent location with extensive views of surrounding area. Competitive rates. Not a lot but shower required fixing and water supply was too hot and interupted by use of other facilities/users. A child would have been badly scalded.
