The 4 phone lines we could find were either unattended at the time we called, or blocked to international callers (we have a US number). Other location in Dieppe was also closed.

Points positifs : Hicimos reservación por Internet, cuando llegamos a europcar en Paris, nos costaba el doble, de la tarifa seleccionada por internet....
Intentamos anular la reserva al número de teléfono que brindaba la empresa TRANSPORT'CARHIRE... que nos cotizó el sevicio.... pero ese telefono no funcionaba...
Y como si fuera poco nos cobraron el total del importe como si hubiéramos tomado el auto...
Ya comenzaremos las acciones legales pertinentes...

Points négatifs : Clerk made a comment that I "should have" picked up the car at the terminal in my booking (2E) instead of 2A. First time I hear a remark like that from a car rental. For me that is one of the reasons why I only rent directly with one of the major rental companies to avoid surprises...
Good service and car, drop off needs work
Points positifs : They gave us a good car and a good deal.
Points négatifs : CDG airport drop off location was confusing and there was nobody there to help.
The overall experience was simply superb.
Points positifs : The overall experience was great. From the pick up to the drop off inclusive of the car itself. The staff was very friendly, professional and helpful.
Points négatifs : Since I am not an EU resident, I was not aware that I should be carrying my UAE driving license along with my International driving license which I did prior to departure. The staff at Europcar needed to see my UAE driver's license and I was lucky to have an e-copy on my phone..Please ensure you mention this on your site to avoid issues with clients.. Nothing major but an important detail to highlight to future customers
Points positifs : Picking up the car in Germany was a very easy, straightforward experience.
Points négatifs : Trying to find the after-hours drop-off point was extremely--and unnecessarily--difficult. There was no "Europcar" sign visible anywhere on the outside of the station so I circled several times before pulling into an unmarked driveway. Amazingly, it turned out to be the right driveway because at the bottom of the ramp I noticed a small "Europcar" sign. I then drove through the garage following the "rental return" signs, but there was no central rental return area or instructions for dropping a car after hours. I drove through the parking lot for about 15 minutes looking for a drop off area then got to a gated exit where I could go no further. As a result, I parked the vehicle in a nearby vacant Europcar stall. I then went looking for the office on foot, finding it after a full half-hour of walking the entire station. The office was (obviously) closed so I telephoned the help numbers on my agreement. The person I was ultimately able to speak with told me to simply leave the keys in the mail slot. But there was no mail slot. So I took the key to my hotel and returned the next morning to check-in the car. It was a frustrating, tedious experience and the worse possible way to begin a visit to Paris.

Points négatifs : This is the worst Hertz location I have ever been to. We waited in line to speak to an agent and as soon as we got to the front the person got up and walked away. Once we finally got an agent and ordered the car it took an additional 40 min to get the car to our location as it was in another garage?

Points négatifs : Kayak stated an Opal Vivaro or similar which is passenger van. Our car from Hertz was a small Ford C Max, which is in a whole different class.
Taking the similar aside, Hertz stated the vehicle seated 7 plus luggage. If you consider one small handbag luggage, then sure it fits luggage. Slightly dissppaointed and had to re arrange travels due to the other than “similar” Car.

Points positifs : The directions on the website left me at the wrong place. When I phone in they were unable to help. After three calls they stopped answering. It took me two hours scouring a five block radius to find that it was at the train station. How easy was that? Why did no one at the customer service desk know to simply tell me??!

Quick return of car.
Points négatifs : I had a hard time finding way out of parking area.
I had a difficult time finding the dropoff area.
Points positifs : The staff did exchange our car for us when we brought it back after a day because it had a piece of the window missing.
Points négatifs : Staff was incredibly slow at pick-up. Plus, when we switched out our car they didn't carry over our satellite navigation that we originally booked, but we didn't want to wait another hour to try and get them to switch it.
Points négatifs : First i waited 90 min. for the car. Then the car was dirty. Poor motor power. It costed also much more that í had expected. When booked it said 1635 EUR for 11 days, but í was charged 2.370 EUR. They came up with all kind of excuses. My friend rented from Europe car and hr Got much better servi
Points négatifs : Everything fine until we got the bill after we got home. Was reserved for $414 USD but we were charged over $1,000 USD. So far no explanation and no refund.

Points négatifs : Rental desk was absolute chaos. No one had a car ready for them, and waiting 45 minutes for reserved cars led to a lot of frustration. When our car finally arrived it had not been washed and had 1/2 tank of gas, but no one said this to us. Customer service was poor.
Points positifs : Good price. Nice little (brand new) car. Friendly staff at pick-up (CDG airport) and drop-off (Gare de Lyon, Paris).
Points négatifs : Long wait to pick up car at Roissy CDG airport (over 45 minute wait before talking to an agent). Clearly not enough personnel at the counter.
Points positifs : Even with reservation had to wait over 2.5 hrs to get a car. Manager made all kinds of promises that he failed to deliver on.

Points négatifs : I didn’t like that I was quoted one price online then given an inflated amount when I showed up in person. The woman who handled my rental knew I didn’t speak or write French but had me signing and reviewing documents in French.
Kayak and Budget do not honor reservation. It's a SCAM
Points négatifs : The rental was paid up front for an OPEL Vivaro or similar vehicle. Arriving in Paris I found from Budget that I coulld only rent an Opel Vivaro or similar vehicle for 600 more euros. For the payment I made, I received a Ford XMAX which is significantly smaller than the Opel Vivaro. Be careful when booking and paying a reservation with Kayak, it is better to book directly with budget or a different rental company.
Two-week rental in France
Points positifs : I signed up for a compact car, but when picking it up at the counter the Budget person upgraded me to a late model Ford Escape (small SUV) at no extra cost. It was a mixed blessing...great on the highways and in the countryside, a challenge to maneuver in the narrow streets and alley ways of the congested cities and towns. It came with built-in navigation which was accurate most of the time (got us lost a few times but we still had our phone GPS to keep it honest). That's the problem with car navigation...it doesn't get updated like your phone apps do. Overall the car was clean, modern, well maintained, had the gps, and I was grateful for the upgrade.
Points négatifs : When we tried to turn in the car at Charles de Gaulle airport, the office was closed at the return site in the parking garage. So, we had to find and park the car in a Budget spot in the garage and then find the counter in the terminal to turn in the key. The person at the counter just asked if everything was okay and took the key, so there was no official sign-off paperwork or inspection of the car itself. So now I'm waiting to see if any mysterious charges appear on my credit card involving alleged "damage" to the car, as I've heard happens occasionally with foreign rentals. Time will tell.

Charge the full amount plus plus and amount not yet refund though the promise to do it immediately.

Points négatifs : When we arrived, our large family car was not ready even though we had mentioned our flight details. Very disappointing from Alamo, especially since we needed a large car fo the family and luggage. They offered a smaller car and still wanted to charge us extra! Normally, I am a happy customer of Alamo, but ;avoid the Paris Charles de Gaulle location. Very poor service and not up to Alamo's international standards.
