An inexpensive accommodation for a weekend trip to
I don't typically stay in motels (more of a hotel guy) so I was impressed that every room had a kitchen with a fridge, stove, sink and microwave. If you're travelling on a budget, you can bring your own food and cook it right in your room. The room itself seemed reasonably clean, though showed signs of age. Obviously, the rooms haven't been updated an a while! Water pressure was fine. Southsider is within easy walk to the beach, and it's certainly possible to walk into town (about 1.7km) as well.
Going in, I thought we'd be getting a room with two queen beds in a single room, instead we got a room with two doubles separated by a wall. Their website and the description on Kayak should be updated. Though the room comes with a kitchen, be prepared to bring your own cooking implements and dishes/cutlery just in case. The cupboards had some dishes but it wouldn't have been enough for everyone. Oh, and dish soap and a dish towel. We were hoping to use the BBQ (which happened to be right next to our room) but it appeared to be broken. The blankets were fine - nothing fancy but typical for something in this class. I found the beds to be overly hard and was tossing all night to avoid sore spots on my shoulders and hips. The blinds on the windows were inadequate for blocking light from outside. Leading up to our stay I tried calling the motel with a simple question at least six times, at different times of the day, on different days, and never got a response. I was not impressed.
Les politiques varient selon le type de chambre et le fournisseur.
