The fact That we are in the flight line of the air base was horrible. So loud. And the sound actually shook the bldg on More than one occasion
Great location, great room! Definitely a repeat!
Very nice overall just the usual. Thin walls don't know why they build hotels like that. Great staff clean & comfortable. Good breakfast.
It was nice being in a busy commercial area. We were not told of many maintenance projects occurring during our stay. Location right off the end of Army Air field was not mentioned anywhere. One night a giant plane took off right over room very very low every five minutes. While we could not really hear this in the room with the air and tv on....it was very unnerving.
Rooms were well kept and comfortable. It had the microwave and refrigerator. However, I would love to have a freezer section for a refrigerator, which was not there at least in my room. Would recommend it. A nice overall family experience. The serving area for breakfast was too crowded and small. It would be nice if they can increase the breakfast area.
For the money I paid it was a decent hotel. They say there is free hbo and show time which there is and they have hdtv's in the rooms, but the picture quality is worse than my old tube tv from the 80's. There is also a military base nearby so after 9am there are helicopters and planes flying directly overhead which makes it difficult to sleep past 9 if you've had a late night downtown.
Clean and everything worked fine Jets fly close overhead at all hours. It is at the end of an airport runway.
I thought the hotel was fine if you need inexpensive lodging. Easy drive downtown and when we had an issue with the TV someone came up in a few minutes to fix it, Overall the room seemed clean except the floors. It was clear that no one had swept behind the bathroom door or vacuumed by the vanity. Also, the don't have the SEC network.
The staff was so great. We were there for a race, and they did all they could to accommodate us, and went above and beyond in customer service.
The staff was extremely pleasant and the rooms were very clean. The staff ay the breakfast was wonderful also.
Nothing Everything! We booked a king and gave us a double! Hotel was extremley loud could not sleep what so ever!!!!
The bed was comfortable and the room had a nice view. My room was close to the elevator and you could hear the people getting on and off plus the elevator operation vibrated through the walls. Also, the shower head dripped
location is great Lobby bathroom was filthy.
Staff We did online check in and they didn't use it
Fairly close to the city market and river street. $5 UBER ride back and forth or about a 4 block walk. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Valet parking only, and it's $18 per day.
Very clean, spacious rooms. the staff with extremely nice and valet was very convenient. The location is perfect for river street and the other tourist spots. This was my first time staying at courtyard Marriott and I will definitely stay again.
We really liked the walking proximity to everything. If you walk, bring a backpack for water and stuff you buy. The staff was Southern hospitality at it's Savannah best. The hotel was clean and they provided plenty of towels for the pool. For downtown, the rate wasn't bad. The railroad museum, a revolutionary war battlefield, and the Savannah Visitor's Center are right there. I thought there could have been a continental breakfast in there and some clarification on how/where to park would be nice. If you don't do the $18 for valet, then you'll pay about $5 less (a day) for the city parking garage across the street ( it does depend on what part of the week it is for what you pay). There is only one choice of pillow and that's squishy.
old savannah tour was the best
I wish that we could've made our checkout time later than 1pm.
Located across street from Civic Center. Even on 5th floor we could hear red light green light traffic all night.
Good location. Lack of details. Towels are old with stains. Seems to be below Mariott standard.
L'hôtel est situé correctement par rapport au centre ville historique
Chambre très grande et propre. Très bien pour un couple avec 2 ados. Salle du petit déjeuner trop petite. Pas de place pour s'asseoir. Très désagréable.
Friendly helpful staff Toilet flush design rather poor
The price was good for the size of the rooms you get. Very spacey. The staff were all extremely friendly. They baked fresh cookies every night for the guests as well. There was what looked like blood on the bathroom door and mold on the shower curtain in the bathroom. The hotel itself was nice appearing but the surrounding area was run down and did not seem to be in a good location (however hotel is only.minutes away from the historic district which was nice). Only other issue was that another guest seemed to be smoking marijuana and the entire hallway smelled of it for two days. I heard other guests complain but nothing was really ever done about it and those guests smoked up until they checked out in that hotel room.
The location was somewhat away from busier area. There was much less traffic or congestion. The hotel was quiet without a lot of disruption.
Always quiet, very friendly staff, easy check in & out, great heater and air conditioner. That's why we always come back to this location. Poor water pressure in shower.
Strong odor in the room and no offer to move to another room.
Just 10 min from historic Savannah. Nice and clean lobby area. Had to do some laundry very convenient. Rooms big & comfy would recommend,
The two young ladies that manned the front desk, one the night we checked in, and the other the morning we checked out, were both very pleasant. The location, pretty shady looking and run down area. Near the train tracks, heard the train horns all night long. The SMELL! (Located near a paper pulp mill). The room itself was bland, it was hot and humid in the room to the point that we could not comfortably fall asleep for a couple of hours. They had not turned down the AC in our room even though we had made a reservation. The room had a weird odor. All in all, not a pleasant experience. We left as soon as we got ourselves together.
Large clean rooms, great beds, big bathroom. Accomodated us with a crib and laye checkout to meet my demand for an interview that am when we had a one year old and one vehicle. A bit isolated.
the staff was very friendly and quick to help whenever needed we will stay here again everything was perfect
very friendly staff, clean location
The Mansion opened right before I left Savannah and I have been wanting to stay there ever since! It definitely did not disappoint. The room had a view of the park and was beautifully appointed (the bathroom was spectacular). The restaurant was as good as remembered and one of my favorites- it has the look and feel people go to the Pink House for but with better food. The entire hotel and restaurant just felt very 'Savannah'- romantic and haunting. The staff was charming and friendly and I especially loved being surrounded on all sides by art! Not much not to like. I wish there was a free parking option (valet was great - friendly and accommodating) but steeply priced for the area (especially as it is their own parking lot right behind the building). Also, have never been to a 4-5 star hotel that did not have free wifi.
I have lived in Savannah all of my life and am a current New York City transplant. I had recently come home to visit my family and decided to stay at the mansion. The hotel was gorgeous - a mixture of old southern charm and the MET. The staff was also great. Very pleasant and met my every need. I would definitely stay here again if I got another chance
Than mansion itself is stunning. Beautiful decor, art, loved the room. We stayed for a week & our keys had to be replaced 5 times in that week. There were no comps or anything even offered for all of our issues with the room keys. I thought we should have been offered some sort of severance for the problems that we had. For that, I was disappointed. Also the food we ordered from room service was very overpriced & not flavorful. We had a salad & a sandwich, which was $50 & they forgot my dressing. The menu, at least for room service, was unimpressive.
Great location in a great city Concierge was pretty much useless. Couldnt make his computer work and tried to get us to eat only at their bar.
This is a true one of a kind boutique hotel. Wonderfully quirky, beautiful architecture and interior design. Well trained and attentive staff. Phenomenal bar and restaurant. So much more wow factor than the newer Kessler properties like the Bohemia brand. My biggest gripe with all 5 star properties (not just Kesslers) is the higher the price point the more they "al a carte" basic services such as parking, internet service, in room amenities, and "resort fees". These surprise upcharges ruin what other wise would be an excellent experience. As a recently retired traveler these charges more often than not discourage me from being a repeat customer. OK, I get paying for parking at say "The Waldorf" in NYC. Most guests don't drive there. But $22/night to park behind the building on their own property at The Mansion is absurd. And $10 for WIFI? Really? Get a grip. We're not all travelling on OP money anymore.
The property itself is very cool - chandeliers, marble, velvet furniture, modern art, sculptures everywhere. The location is also great in that you're about a mile or so to the main dining/shopping area. The service here is terrible but I'm under the impression it's terrible everywhere in Savannah, not just here. In fact, I'd go as far as to say it's a southern thing. Nevertheless, we paid 5 star prices to stay here (by southern standards) and expected 5 star service. The staff failed in this area, HARD. Examples: they didn't set up the sparkling wine service we ordered for arrival; they screwed up our room service order (literally, I ordered plain pasta with red sauce and they couldn't understand my order, so I got pasta drenched in butter); we requested a trash can several times before giving up; we had to request more toilet paper, tissues, coffee creamer, stirrers, etc., because housekeeping didn't leave it. Come on. On a side note, the amenities here are really low end. I didn't bring any shower products thinking what they'd provide would be sufficient. I ended up buying some cheap travel size things from CVS because the products here are even worse than drug store quality. This hotel needs to do a better job of staff training if it wants to be a lux hotel. As it stands right now, I've had better service at a Hampton Inn.
2 Double beds in room. Problem in one bed with irritation/ bedbugs? No shoe cleaning cloth, Parking was valet only and extorionate. Bar area very poorly designed.
Upon arrival staff was great. Very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed valet parking. Was worth the $25. Room was very comfortable and clean. Was a great distance from River St. Though I had some issues, they were miniscule compared to the location, comfort of the room, and the friendliness of the staff. Asked for the air to be on and room to be cold upon arrival. Air was not on like I requested. Room was warm. Adjisted the air to my liking then left the room to tour savannah. Did not realize until after walking River St. then comimg back to the room that the a/c was not operating properly. The shower door was broken upon arrival and had to call the front desk to have it fixed. Maintenance showed up quickly to fix the situation. Also requested a quiet room due to the fact we were travelling with a 2 yr old. My room was next to the maintenance/cleaning closet and service elevator. Due to constant flow of people coming and going next to our door it was hard to get my child rest comfortably.
bed was very comfortable room service was poor. food was cold, ice cream melted. bathroom very small and not multi user friendly. they are in the process of a renovation so I will take this into account.
The staff was incredibly friendly and the room was very clean, looks just as the picture did NA
Staff very friendly and helpful. The guys with the valet parking were great and very helpful about finding locations we wanted to go. K now it was the holidays, but several days concierge was not available. Front desk pitched in to help.
Pretty room, cool shower, comfy bed. I stayed here one night for business and was able to walk to a great restaurant downtown to meet my clients. After driving around downtown a few times I decided that the Hampton Inn and Staybridge Suites looked like a slightly better location. I can't really complain with only one night spent here. Actually I will say that the hotel did not mention a mandatory $25/night valet parking charge that I was hit with when I pulled up to the front door. That's annoying. Let me park my own damn car or tell me in advance.
Great staff very helpful. $2.00 for a coke kinda high valet parking great service but price to high
The beds were very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. It was also a fantastic location.
Location Price of room, cost to park
It was clean, it was centrally located, the staff was nice! Nothing I enjoyed my stay very much!
It was a pleasant stay. I do wish the location was on the river sideof the street. We might would stay there again but we prefer to stay on the river side of the street.
The hotel is only about a 15 minute drive from historic Savannah and about 25 minutes from Tybee Island. The location was wonderful; it's close enough to plenty of stores and restaurants. The room was very clean. They had breakfast and coffee available in the morning. The water pressure was great but paired with the shower head it made for a painful shower.
Reasonably priced. Very noisy - I heard every door close and people walking and talking in the hallways at all hours. A long way from Savannah's charm.
Made our reservations months ahead of stay and our room was not available when we got there. Our didn't get cleaned till we went to the front desk at 6:00 p.m. and then got charged for internet that we didn't use...
I liked everything. I wish I could have stayed lounger. The flat screen was the perfect size for the room and the bed was sooooo comfortable. Fell asleep fast and went into a deep sleep quickly. I woke up feeling so rested. I woke up at freaking 7ish in the a.m. Who does that on vacay. We did because we sleep so well!! No continental breakfast :/
The room was a non-smoking but it smelled of smoke
Clean comfortable room, an easy 15 minute drive to downtown Savannah. Construction on a new hotel next door made the hotel hard to access.
Accessible room could not have been further away from the elecator plus far too few handicap parking spaces. Room was poorly equiped with only one poor office chair. Poor quality for this name and price
It was close to all the attractions. It was clean comfortable and the staff were nice. I have no dislikes.
Went to ask about check in at 9AM and I was able to check in right then. The entire staff made sure I was taken care of.
It was all modern/contemporary and designed very unique. Lobby was really cool. Complimentary breakfast was AMAZING--- we chose the hotel because it was included (which is hard to come by in that area) and it did not disappoint! Parking was $20 per day with the hotel valet. But there was a parking deck right next door that was only $5, so we parked there instead.
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Location was okay for us. Hotel was undergoing renovations. Bathroom doors in the room did not close. Had to go through three rooms to find one that was acceptable, but even then the room we were in had issues. Not enougbsestingfor breakfast people were sitting on the floor in the hallways eating.
We love this hotel and decided to stay even though there was construction taking place. Our room was out of the sound of the construction but the lobby! Oh MY! We had no idea. Jackhammers as we walked in. Deafening. And the breakfast was in 2 small, crowded spaces, instead of the lovely lobby where it usually is. See the other side.
comfortable bed and good location cheap breakfast...i would not call it continental in any way... wallpapers coming off in patches.. stains on carpets... everything is cheap... not even separate complimentary shampoo and conditioner... there is.. "conditioning shampoo".. no place to hang towels... toilet paper stand was broken..
No breakfast on weekdays.
The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. It was nicely decorated. The breakfast was disappointing: while the coffee was good, the boiled eggs tasted cold and stale, the jam packages were hard and unusable, and stayed that way during our entire stay of five days, even though I brought them to the manager's attention. The breakfast was exactly the same every day. But our kids loved it: lots of muffins and cinnamon buns, etc.
location, plenty of parking (guess there were few people there) staff not friendly or always around, breakfast was terrible, room was not what I thought I was getting, towels really thin, heat not consistent, faucet pressure so high the water rain outside the sink and got you wet
The convience of stores, restaurants and easy access to the river walk
we had a very good stay. everybody was very niiice. and the breakfast was good.
Good location, quiet, service was excellent, and staff was friendly. Room was very clean as well as the rest of the hotel. Great value!
their breakfast included with the stay was excellent. the 24 hour cookies and coffee was a nice personal touch and the atmosphere was very friendly. the pool water was cold and the jacuzzi was not in good condition. the paint was peeling.
Convienence to shopping and interstate highways
The location was great for the Savannah area The tvs in the room need a movie station like pay per view or something like that.
the linens were clean. The room smelled terrible; like 50 unwashed bodies were staying there with me. I asked the hotel staff to freshen the room. They said they had but the smell continued. Since both the rooms I rented had this smell, changing the room probably would not have improved the situaltion. they did discount the room rate as compensation for the offensive smells.
A good place to stay. Cookies delicious, breakfast good, staff friendly
This hotel was modern and very clean. Staff was friendly and it had a gym, pool, and complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was small with no hot foods (I guess you get what you pay for). Also, this location is about 20 min from historic downtown savannah ($35 taxi ride one way). Of course, this isn't the hotel's fault and we chose this location bc it was cheaper.
Staff was great, we were under the impression that the room was like most other Baymont Inn's and have a sofa/love seat that a teen could sleep on for just the one night, when we arrived, we were told 2 Queen only rooms at this location..the staff was great and provided blankets/sheets/pillows for a comfy enough pallet to sleep on the floor..Coffee was great Breakfast selection was a lot of sugary choices, bananas spotted, darker.. frozen waffles left out in a container with a toaster..
the hot continental breakfast was not very good. maybe a waffle iron rather than frozen waffles put into a toaster facility smelled old. carpets needed a god shampooing
Hotels like this one with multiple floors but no elevator should clearly indicate it somewhere in the reservation process! I'm partially disabled and getting luggage up two flights of stairs is not possible. Luckily the hotel had a vacant 1st floor room, but if they hadn't, we'd be going round-and-round over my non-cancelable reservation.
We have stayed here several times.....will continue to come back. nothing
The price rooms were clean The location was close to the highway and food but the area was sketchy
For $118 I expect a clean room and a quiet place to sleep. Instead there was a dog barking two doors down that did not stop until his master came home late. Fortunately we had a fan with us to help mitigate the noise. The front desk offered a room a floor up but that floor had a loud group hanging out in the hallway and popping in and out of their rooms. The room was clean but the bathroom was not and the toilet did not flush properly. The breakfast "hot bar" was cold. There was no exterior outlet to charge my Chevy Volt EV. All this seems like a bit more than unlucky circumstances. I do not recommend this hotel
I was not able to rinse the shampoo out of my hair completely because the water pressure was so poor. Taking a shower was a task with the small amount of water and the lack of pressure. After we notified the staff, they simply said it was because so many people were taking a shower . This was an issue every time we used the shower and I have never witnessed this at a hotel before. Would not stay there again due to this.
The toilet was dirty. Additionally there was a roach in the room.
The front desk staff was super friendly and courteous. The room was huge! It was really clean and the beds were so comfortable! The bathroom was big and the extra space in the room was great. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub to give my baby a bath, but the space was huge so it wasn't a big deal for 1 night.
bed and comforter were very nice room was large no movies tv did not have a schedule channel tub was not large
