The Amara Resort was surrounded by the breathtaking views of the Red Rocks of Sedona and was surrounded by many local stores. I would especially recommend the restaurant at the hotel for a great and healthy breakfast. We were also pleased with the car service which was nice when we didn't feel like walking. The only thing I would've liked is to have a slightly larger pool, since the pool was extremely crowded and there wasn't much room to swim.

We loved the location. Walking distance from all of the unique shops and restaurants in Uptown Sedona, but also very quiet and relaxed in a beautiful setting beside the creek. The service was amazing! We also loved the fact that the valet service is included and there is a complimentary shuttle service to anyplace within 1 mile away. The price may be a bit high.
Parking service and the guy at check in were very good Shower did not work it was only hot water there was something wrong with it's faucet and the girl at check out just said she would let engineering know and that's all, you spent more than $400 on the hotel and not being able to shower?
The grounds of Amara are beautiful. Red rocks serve as a backdrop to the pool/hot tub and common area. I liked that it was a small hotel and not too crowded. They have a wine hour every evening which was fun (but the trade off is no breakfast in the morning). The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The young guy with glasses at the front desk made a big deal of announcing we booked our room through a "third party" on arrival (through Kayak's Getaroom). Not sure exactly why he made such a big deal of that fact, but let it go. When we got to our room we saw that it had two double beds instead of a king size bed like we had reserved. I went back to the young guy at the front desk to ask for the correct room and he said it wasn't the hotels fault and that I would need to take it up with Getaroom (once again making a bid deal of booking through a 3rd party). His customer service skills were very weak and he would benefit from additional training on making guests feel welcome and comforting. FYI: The hotel allows pets and we heard dogs barking in the morning. Didn't bother us too much since we were early risers due to jet lag, but if you're looking to sleep in you may want to find another location or specify you want to be far from rooms with pets.

The four members of the staff that I met were very friendly and accommodating. Can't beat the location. U can walk to Tlaquepaque.
First of all, Andy from the front desk was super accommodating, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She did a wonderful job making us feel welcome and helped us get the most out of our stay. The hotel provides awesome cruisers which I now know (after many years of visiting by car and foot) is the best way to get around the uptown/oak creek area of Sedona. The bed was super comfortable and the only thing that made me get up out of bed was the idea of the bike ride! The restaurant on the property had excellent margaritas, corn hole game, and the hotel property has a cozy fire pit and ample seating. They even offered late checkout which was wonderful! I will return! It's a little strange some of the balconies are shared but I will ask for a room without a shared balcony next time. Also the table had some dried coffee on it and there was a bunch of construction, the hot tub was not working but I didn't know there was another hot tub on the other side of the property :/
Great location and loved the heated pool and spa. It was near downtown and shops. It was very relaxing. Nothing really. They were doing renovations to the motel they bought next door but when its done it will be good to.
The location is great, especially being able to walk to Elote for dinner. Beds were very uncomfortable, and although I applaud the management for wanting to have eco-friendly rooms, it wasn't worth rough towels, crummy toiletries, and toilet paper that seemed as if it had been beamed in from Soviet-era Russia.
Location is great. Within walking distance of the Hillside shops. The trail rooms are newer, larger and nicely layed out. The beds/bedding are nice and comfy. Bathroom needed some updating/care.
The view from the third floor rooms were great for the Red Rock. It was a solid 3 star hotel, but fading. Dingy and hesitant to provide service. Rooms were not cleaned unless you forced a request, bar staff was unskilled, and the Spa services (massage good, meditation weak). Towels and robes looked over worn, and service was slow. Seems like it needs an update and new management.
The location, staff, room were top notch. Everyone had an attitude of caring that the guests had a great experience. We paid extra for a premium room, but had a view of the roof top air conditioning and heating units. Guests of the rooftop observation area next to these units, in turn, had a view of our room. No view of any red rocks from our room. Also, there are no icemakers and you have to go to the restaurant when it is open for ice. May be uncomfortable if you find yourself underdressed to go to the restaurant.
When we checked in the staff was courteous and friendly, they accommodated us to a better room just by asking! Also, getting free appetizers during our stay was a plus! I wish I would have known about the expansion project going on but it didn't really affect our stay. I'd like to go back and see the finished section.

We went to Red's two times and once a friend in the group was told there was a 5 drink minimum and he was cut off. He wasn't even driving and he was still told this. We went to get coffee the morning we checked out which was about 10:50am. We got coffee and sat down and a lady named Rose came over and took away the coffee. We asked why she was taking it down (because it was 10 til 11 and we were told there was coffee until 11). She rudely said "Well, its been here since 7am". We got up and walked out. I'm sure they were upset because we weren't eating breakfast there we were just getting coffee that was part of the $22 per day resort fee. If the staff at Red's is going to get upset when customers get the coffee and nothing else, you should move the coffee into the lobby. Not impressed and we wont be going back.

I was not happy with the pillows. They were small and not comfortable. The TV made a crackly noise and almost every channel.

Location was amazing. Boynton Canyon was gorgeous and there were a lot of activities to participate on the properties. Facilities were top-notch. Had multiple issues with the staff. Service at View180 and Che-Ah-Chi was pretty slow. Had to ask on multiple occasions for drink refills or to get a check. They ran out of towels at the pool and weren't able to send anyone down in the few hours we were there to put out new ones.
Spectacular venue and uniquely situated. Property is run down. Massive investment needed. Rooms: had a junior suite and found it fine. Curtains were a thin sheer fabric that was dirty. Shower head didn't function properly so shower wasn't relaxing. Furniture outdated. Porch dirty and unkempt. Spa: Shocking that the spa is so highly rated - locker room lockers didn't work, showers grungy, dirty towels everywhere as attendant never there, the masseuse was 15 min late for one of my treatments. You get it.

Convenient to downtown Sedona, recently remodeled, comfortable beds, beautiful furnishings, easy to find, owner is obviously experienced and gracious excellent breakfast and good recommendations for local food. no tub in suite, only shower, but she said one of the rooms will be redone in the spring to include a tub.

Great location in town with beautiful view to wake up to. Right next to Pink Jeep Tours which are great. Very helpful front desk. The mattress wasn't great (not firm) but that could just be a personal thing.

Location, elegance of resort
Kid friendly. Lots of activities for kids. Mini golf coarse, park full of family game options. Full kitchen means you don't have to eat out which is good if you have small kids. Desk staff a little rough around the edges. We asked to book an extra night. This turned out to be a confusing request to have made. Desk staff ultimately figured it out and it was fine, but only after two calls and two visits to the desk.
Good location Concierge was pushy about signing up for their $150 3 nights, 4 day "deal" Lured us there by telling us they had a farewell gift.
Location was great Resort overall was dated but clean and had all ammenities. Road work early in morning Room 136 was next to service room and was very loud at night. Didn't get much sleep due to noise. Wifi was barely serviceable. GSM cell reception was voice only. CDMA worked ok.
It was nice and quite . Rooms where big and update and the grounds very well taken care of. Will be back again.
We liked that everything at the Resort was close. Pool, gym, spa, lobby, activities. And that there were restaurants, wine tasting, and shops on the property. Also loved that they offered activities like yoga, meditation, and kid things. The rooms could use an update. We felt it was a little 70sish. Larger Bathroom/Tubs would be nice. I think that a real oven would have been nice too. Also leave enough coffee for the entire visit since you don't get room service everyday.
The location was perfect for hikers because you could walk to the trailhead. The pool was awesome. If you stay in a first floor room, you can hear people walking and chairs moving above you (loudly).
Staff were very friendly and helpful. I liked that the Bell Rock had two separate pool areas- one which includes a jacuzzi. The pool areas were very nice, and my two children really enjoyed swimming and using the jacuzzi after a busy day around town. The hotel grounds appears to be kept up really well, with lots of greenery and fountains on the property. The room was very comfortable and well kept. Our room had a kitchenette-although we didn't cook during our stay, I did notice that the kitchenette was well stocked with pans and a decent selection of utensils should we have needed them. Although the hotel is right off of the highway, it was very quiet and we heard no traffic noise our entire stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept great! We had family members who stayed in another hotel closer to downtown Sedona. When they came to visit us in the evening at our room, they expressed wishing they had booked at the Bell Rock Inn instead. This hotel seemed all in all to be a great value, and we would definitely stay there again.
They wouldn't give me the room I paid for because my charge card for the deposit on the room didn't work. I had to go next door and pay for another room and guess what, my charge card worked there. I was robbed and want my money back

Friendly front desk and maid service. The rooms were clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Well stocked kitchenette. Room service only once a week which I actually liked. Nice pools. Beautiful location. I would recommend it to anyone. Beware of the concierge desk in the lobby. They will try to rope you into a timeshare presentation. I really wish the Kayak description would have mentioned the hotel was actually a timeshare. Story time. My girlfriend and I had just driven across the country from PA and just wanted to get to our room. Check in was great and easy with the front desk. On the way out, however, we got trapped by some "friendly" guy named Doug or something behind the concierge desk. He started off by saying "you are going to be glad to see me". Let me tell you, after driving 36 hours, I wasn't. He proceeds to give us coffee and other goodies and showed us a map of the town. All this was fine. He then inquired on what we were planning on doing while in Sedona. I was exhausted and didn't feel like indulging my plans to a stranger and just said "Idk, hiking and stuff." He took this as we didn't have anything planned so he started telling us he was going to gift us a "free" jeep ride. All we needed to do was go to a "90 minute" presentation. It isn't a gift if I need to do something for it. He then started trying to book me a time to go to the timeshare presentation without asking me if I was even interested in going. I flatly told him I wasn't interested in going to a timeshare presentation and I would never be interested. Boy did his friendly persona change. He defensively said "Well you told me you didn't have anything planned" and tryed to make me out to be the d**k. Then when I apologized for not wanting to go to a timeshare presentation he smugly said "Well you do know this is a timeshare hotel, right?" I said no, Kayak did not tell me it was and he just smirked and said have a great day. My sour interaction with him put me in a huge funk for the first couple of days. If you can try to avoid the concierge desk do it.

After a long day of class it felt like I was coming home. The telemarketing messages left on my room phone that was from a local spa.
We were very pleased with the hotel. It was specially surprising to find a fully stocked kitchen in our studio rental, everything we needed to cook fabulous dinners after hiking around Sedona. The best night was grilling steaks poolside and eating it outside at the gazebo. Made for an epic vacation. The "concierge" tried to sell us a time share and tried to convince us to go to their two hour thing. Just don't make eye contact with the concierge in your way in or out.
Everything about Bell Rock Inn was great from the room, to the service, to the grounds, to the price and the scenery in Sedona, AZ.
Quiet and exclusive
we loved the atmosphere of the hotel. we came in a bit of an off season I think, but it was just close enough to town to make everything easy. Loved the new fire pit. overall great hospitality and very comfortable accomodations. Our room was huge and loved the fireplace! the golf course looked kind of run down, but we weren't interested in golfing so it didn't bother us!
The restaurant and bar staff were very friendly. The food was great and had the best spinach artichoke dip I've ever had. Everything is made from scratch. The room was very spacious and the beds were pretty comfortable. The bathroom needs updating. Cabinets and showers were outdated.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Views were great, but they're hard to mess up in Sedona. Very thin walls, could hear all 3 families on all sides of me talk, shower, etc of things you don't want to hear. No outlets near the beds. It wasn't a bad stay, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay for more than one night.
I liked the fact that I was in Sedona. I didn't like the loud people partying all night. I didn't like that I was given 2 irons to iron my clothes for my wedding and they both were broken. The air was not working well at all- the room was very very warm all night.
The location was lovely in that the rooms look right onto Bell Rock (although you do have to peer over another hotel, which disrupts the natural feel a bit). Our room (a Queen) was tastefully decorated in a Native American theme, and reasonably spacious The food was quite unhealthy, making it unsuitable for us so we had to skip it and eat in town. Never even met the owners - very hands off and zero service.
The location of this inn was amazing. I was able to get in a 3.5 mile run and find local coffee within a 1 mile radius as well. The breakfast was perfect for someone who eats gluten and dairy free food and they made it too order.
The rooms are wonderful but the owner, Ron, has the worst attitude problem. My friend and I were going to make this an annual vacation, but thanks to Ron's nasty attitude we've decided to take our business elsewhere. I believe a vacation should be filled with great memories and outstanding customer service. Ron was rude and he ruined what otherwise would have been a superb time.
We were greeted by Ron, the owner, who welcomed us and showed us to our room. After a brief rest, we went down to the pool, which was small but refreshing. There was ample seating around the pool area. After a dip to cool off, we went back up to our room and dressed for dinner in town. Upon our return, we explored the very ample DVD library, and took a movie back to our room to enjoy on the HDTV. The room was comfortable and clean, and we slept well following the movie. Breakfast was prepared and served by Ron, his wife Cheryl, and another young lady whose name we did not catch. It was plentiful and very tasty, consisting that morning of juice, fresh strawberries, french toast and sausage. Delicious. Coffee, tea, iced tea and ice water were available in the lobby anytime. We will definitely return when we come back to Sedona. This place is a gem.
View Spa cold... No instructions to use... No one available. This inn is converted home in residential neighborhood... Dated decor... Deferred maintenance...bath sink did not drain properly... Fixtures dated.
views WORST MATRESS we have ever slept on - in fact, couldn't sleep it was SO bad - what made matters worse was that the TV cable was not working so couldn't even watch TV while awake all night CANNOT RECOMMEND and will NEVER go back

Location was great. Right on the creek, with places to walk around. DQ right across the street. Allows pets. Nice to be out of Sedona and away from all the tourists. Quiet. Definitely want to come back with my family or friends and rent a bigger unit. Most rooms have jacuzzis and late at night, the pipes in our rooms were making some crazy and scary noises! We plugged up the tub and put a towel over the drain which stopped it but it was super weird. Room was a tad small, but fine for my boyfriend and I. No cell phone service here!
I loved the personal service that the staff provided from recommending restaurants to helping with directions. The traffic at certain times of the day was difficult, but that wasn't the hotel's fault.
