Points positifs: Atmosphere was really fun (even though the hostel was full of germans haha)! It's in comfortable area but still near to the best restaurants and cafes (the mill, cucina37, rooftop bar etc.). We were having one guests birthday together in the hostel! :)
Points négatifs: We reserved a surf lesson trough the hostel and the surf school never came to pick us up. We waited 45 mins and then the hostel offered our money back. Luckily we managed to get afternoon lesson, otherwise it would have been one empty day for us... Also the breakfast was basicly nothing. There is bar located next to the hostel and because there is no AC we had to keep windows open - take your earplugs..

Points négatifs: Room number 6 is absolutely shocking. We didn’t complain as we were in Portugal to purely surf and just needed a bed to sleep and the rest of the property is lovely, even if the kitchen is a little dated now ( but spotless ). Room number 6 has two single beds, a rear door and a tiny bathroom. No window / air con so it gets very hot and humid. The property sits above the sea so gets battered with onshore winds / rain. The property has a damp problem, our sheets / pillows smelt damp. The property has dehumidifiers dotted around to try and keep the problem under control. I’m writing this as I feel I need to be honest. This was our only issue staying at blue Buddha!!

Points positifs: la chambre etatit belle et spacieuse mais ce qu je deplore c'est le manque de menage !! juste la poubelle de la salle de bain qui etait vide tous les jours mais aucun nettoyage de la salle de bain et aucun menage dans la chambre non plus !! le pire c'est que sur place PERSONNE ne parle Francais !!!!! et ca c'est tres handicapant c'est un hebergement de surffeur et la cuisine est en commun pour tout le monde ! sinon la vue de la chambre est tres belle et tres plaisante !!

Points positifs: The room had an ocean view and we could fall asleep to the sound of the waves. It was lovely to have a living room and kitchen (with a balcony overlooking the ocean and beach and surfers!) - we felt right at home here. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. Thank you!

Points positifs: Fabulous place to stay, decor and style is all fab, rooms are kept clean and beds are very comfy. Staff are diamonds, so friendly and so helpful, I felt like i was in a home from home all week, such a fabulous place to stay. Location great, right at sea front, you can hear the waves every night, fabulous. Lots of restaurants close.

Points positifs: The kitchen and the common area in general were big and the kitchen well equipped. We had a sink and a balcony in our private bedroom.
Points négatifs: The walls were too thin and the doors so loud that you couldn't close them quietly which was a really bad combination, especially in the night. There were too little bathrooms for too many people but luckily we had a sink in our private bedroom which helped a lot. The kitchen was cleaned around 9 a.m. If you were up before that, you had a dirty kitchen for breakfast. There was noone at the reception for checkout in the morning so we had to leave the keys unsupervised at the counter.

Its rated a two star hotel but was leaps and bounds better than many of the 3 star hotels we stayed at in Europe. Location is great, a short stroll into town to some AMAZING food places. There is ridsrs surf school just down the road which was cool and also a really good yoga joint in walking distance Loved it

Points positifs: L'hôtel se situe dans un quartier assez calme, à l'écart de la cohue touristique tout en permettant de rejoindre rapidement la plage et les restaurants. La chambre était assez petite, mais bien organisée et confortable. Le petit déjeuner, sans véritable originalité, est conforme au standard de la catégorie. L'insonorisation des chambres paraît plutôt bonne.
Points négatifs: Notre accueil a été très minimaliste, le réceptionniste s'est contenté de vérifier nos cartes d'identité et nous faire payer tout de suite. Mais cela dépend peut-être des personnes à qui nous avons affaire.

Points positifs: Amazing little space. Its atmosphere is unparalleled; it’s chill indeed. It’s everything a hostel should be — and more. They have fresh fruit on the table every morning. They have a patio with comfy colorful sofas. They have a grill outside. You can have breakfast breathing in the morning mist and enjoying the ocean view. You can have a glass of port while gazing at the sunset. Our 6-bed room had a balcony and a private bathroom. Everything, including the common areas, was sparkling clean. The staff were the nicest people. What’s not to love? Value for money is a wild understatement.

Points négatifs: We were told we were going to be the only 4 people in our room so we went to bed with that expectation. Had our money and personal stuff out. At 3:45 AM 4 guys enter the room, they were loud, drunk and one guy immediately started to undress. He woke everyone up then climbed into his bed. The others left and sat outside on the patio and smoked, drank and were loud then they came in at 6:30 AM. I was very disappointed in our stay and the lack of regulations. Needless to say that none of us got any sleep!

Points positifs: Good location and super friendly staff. Surf board rentals available in the same building for good prices. Room was clean and bathroom little dirty as shared with 2 others rooms. Free parking available on the road facing the hostel.
Points négatifs: Kitchen facilities were very unsatisfactory. We ate every meal outside and only needed to heat water for some tea/coffee which was impossible as the entire hostel has only 2 tiny hotplates that take ages to heat and no water boiler either.

The staff really went above and beyond in helping us out when we needed to store our luggage for a day after we’d already left, when we bought a board without a place to store it, and when we wanted to rent boards for a week-long trip very last minute. Definitely recommend staying here.

Points positifs: For sure one of the best and cozy hotel I've ever been, since the moment me and my family stepped in, we felt welcomed. Super super clean, staff super friendly, all was perfect. The room amazing, super clean and tidy, all the equipment are new. The breakfast was really nice and with full range of products.. Mister Luis was very welcoming and friendly. I would recommend this hotel 1000 times. Thank you

Its rated a two star hotel but was leaps and bounds better than many of the 3 star hotels we stayed at in Europe. Location is great, a short stroll into town to some AMAZING food places. There is ridsrs surf school just down the road which was cool and also a really good yoga joint in walking distance Loved it

Points positifs: L'hôtel se situe dans un quartier assez calme, à l'écart de la cohue touristique tout en permettant de rejoindre rapidement la plage et les restaurants. La chambre était assez petite, mais bien organisée et confortable. Le petit déjeuner, sans véritable originalité, est conforme au standard de la catégorie. L'insonorisation des chambres paraît plutôt bonne.
Points négatifs: Notre accueil a été très minimaliste, le réceptionniste s'est contenté de vérifier nos cartes d'identité et nous faire payer tout de suite. Mais cela dépend peut-être des personnes à qui nous avons affaire.

Points positifs: Amazing little space. Its atmosphere is unparalleled; it’s chill indeed. It’s everything a hostel should be — and more. They have fresh fruit on the table every morning. They have a patio with comfy colorful sofas. They have a grill outside. You can have breakfast breathing in the morning mist and enjoying the ocean view. You can have a glass of port while gazing at the sunset. Our 6-bed room had a balcony and a private bathroom. Everything, including the common areas, was sparkling clean. The staff were the nicest people. What’s not to love? Value for money is a wild understatement.

Points négatifs: A bit strange that you couldn't use the stove in the kitchen. The mattress was too hard for our taste, you could feel the spirals in the mattress, bed base was just a wooden board.

Points négatifs: We were told we were going to be the only 4 people in our room so we went to bed with that expectation. Had our money and personal stuff out. At 3:45 AM 4 guys enter the room, they were loud, drunk and one guy immediately started to undress. He woke everyone up then climbed into his bed. The others left and sat outside on the patio and smoked, drank and were loud then they came in at 6:30 AM. I was very disappointed in our stay and the lack of regulations. Needless to say that none of us got any sleep!

Les hébergements lumineux du Chill in Ericeira disposent tous de l'accès à des salles de bains communes. Certaines chambres sont dotées d'une moustiquaire, tandis que d'autres comportent des sièges installés près de la fenêtre. Tous les logements sont décorés avec des chaises fixées aux murs sur lesquelles sont disposés des cintres pour les vêtements. Une connexion Wi-Fi est par ailleurs accessible gratuitement dans les parties communes. Vous savourerez un petit-déjeuner buffet dans la salle à manger lumineuse et colorée. Points positifs: The staff were the best. Friendly, fun, relaxed, and lovely. The dinner was the best we had in Portugal. Better than restaurants. Loved the view. Loved the main rooms.
Points négatifs: The facility could us some more hooks and towel racks, outside hose to wash wetsuits, tiny conveniences. There was nowhere to hang towels or wash surf gear, and we ended up dragging sand into the house. Our bed was not very comfortable, and we had some problems with that.
