Points positifs : I booked a car the previous night and when I showed up they said they booked my car to someone else. I understand it was it was a surge weekend but a service like this should inform the customer so they are not left stranded. Not inclined to come back.
Points négatifs : Inform the customer if you are unable to fulfill a rental agreement.
Points négatifs : Scheduled a car far in advance to take my family on vacation. The store closed at 5:30, and we received a voicemail at 6 stating that the didn’t have a car. Thinking that they just didn’t have my rental car type, I started to leave for Hertz and called. Sure enough they “had no cars” when I called on my way for my reservation. They “refunded” my money but I ended up spending $150 more and had to scramble to find a car for a family vacation. What a poor way to do business. Save your time and $ and book with a different company. Very disappointing!!
Points positifs : Picking up the car at the airport location was very easy. Outside of them trying to find a car for me, pretty seamless

Points positifs : Took a long time to get picked up. Girl at the counter kept getting told my reservation of a truck was negative. Took several different call’s back and forth Drop off was excellent.
Points négatifs : Better communication between front desk and parking garage where the cars are kept.
Points positifs : It was a good car. That was very dependable.
Points négatifs : The car smelled horrible, the cars gas only had a quarter of a tank, it’s key fob was broken so you had to manually open and lock the car, and the man working at this location was very rude. I will not be using the Shadeland Hertz location ever again.

Points négatifs : Car was not available at the airport as I reserved. I was not informed of this. Cost me $60 in Uber charges to get to and back from the car after drop off.
Points positifs : Quick pick up and drop off. Great car, with good gas mileage.
Points négatifs : We did not rent the car, had to find one at a different agency to leave on vacation and nothing was as we were told on the website. Don't use Hertz, ever. Added costs of $450.
Points négatifs : There were stipulations that were not communicated with me prior to booking. The employees were not willing to bend on those unknown stipulations. They also charged me extra for an extra driver, despite the fact that I booked the rental in my name.

Points négatifs : The person at the pickup counter next to the car lot was a racist. She told me to rebook my car in order to get my president club member status. And she was rude, unapologetic. She should be fired

Points positifs : Umm. Nothing. There was nothing to like I didn't rent from them. I did however like the fact that I called Enterprise directly and was able to secure a vehicle outside of the Kayak Network for cheaper than Kayak quoted me .... On a vehicle that was nonexistent
Points négatifs : That Kayak reflected inventory that was not available and gave me false hope of renting a vehicle.
Points négatifs : I liked how comforting and reassuring the Hertz agent was on the phone when I called to say that my 9:30 PM flight from Newark to Indianapolis was delayed two hours and I might not be getting in until 2 AM. The Hertz counter in Indy was supposed to close at 1:30 AM, but the representative on the phone said “The agent will wait for you.” I said, “Really? What if they don’t?” But the Hertz agent on the phone insisted, “As long as they have your flight info and know your flight is delayed [they did], they’ll wait for you.” My flight landed at 2 AM and I ran downstairs to the Hertz counter. I was there at 2:10...but no one else was. I called the Hertz number and spoke with an agent who said, “They’re supposed to wait for you,” which, of course, I already knew. They didn’t. I waited at the counter for 45 minutes (this after a grueling journey that began on the afternoon two days earlier when I went to the airport to catch my original flight, which ended up being canceled) and then took an Uber to my destination, an hour away, in Lafayette, IN. When I called Hertz the following day, my call was routed across the world to a person in a far-off land with a thick accent, who repeatedly read the words he was instructed to read: “Yes, Daniel, I understand you had a problem and I will try to get it resolved.” But he kept asking me if I wanted to change the location or time of my drop-off. He didn’t seem to understand when I kept telling him, “I don’t have a car to drop off!” I asked to speak to a supervisor, but the supervisor was also an outsourced employee who had a hard time with English and was only reading the words she was told to read to the customer. I was finally able to extract from her that I needed to call a different number to speak with someone in Hertz Customer Service. (Why didn’t they tell me that to begin with?) I called Customer Service and at last spoke with an English speaker who understood the problem. I’m only asking that Hertz cover the difference in cost between the car rental and the Uber, which was about $37. We’ll see. There’s an official “case” associated with my issue, which is being submitted for review.
