Points positifs: The welcome on arrival made you feel totally comfortable and at ease. Nothing too much trouble but without feeling that someone was standing over your shoulder the whole time. Facilities were good and location perfect for Camp Bay’s restaurants etc. Felt safe the whole time we were there so no problem walking back to hotel after night out in Bay. Also great location from which to explore Cape Town.
Points négatifs: Pool was quite small and there’s no restaurant if you wanted to stay in to eat. Having said that there are lots of restaurants nearby anyway so no big deal.

L'hotel a un petit pool, est moderne et bien situé près des restaurants et de la plage. La voiture a été dans le garage de l'hotel. Un grand Merci à la direction pour le geste commercial.

Points négatifs: With such a great location come a little more noise than some would like. We were aware of this and were not annoyed by it. It is not overwhelming or a distraction. However, you will know that you are on a major street in a major international city.

Points positifs: We had a very memorable start to our honeymoon at the Cape Heritage - everyone who works at the hotel was so kind and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious, so much choice and all served in the lovely courtyard. We will be recommending this hotel to anyone planning a visit to Cape Town.

Points positifs: The staff were amazing! So helpful and kind and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were stunning and the hotel is very well located in cape town particularly for food. The breakfast is great and the hotel has a very charming boutique feel to it.
Points négatifs: The only issue we had was that the windows didn't block out some of the noise from the street but that was our only negative. Everything else was perfect.

Points positifs: This is a beautifully restored hotel in a great location for exploring Cape Town. The room was a good size with a comfy bed and large bathroom. Breakfast in the hotel was really good with a choice of cooked items and continental buffet which could be enjoyed outside under South Africa's oldest grapevine. The staff were friendly and accommodating and looked after us very well during our stay. The hotel is good value and if we returned to Cape Town we would definitely stay here again.

Points positifs: The hotel has 9 rooms, offerring loads of privacy and fantastic service. It boasts fantastic views of Camps Bay, Lion's Head and Table Mountain. They offer breakfast for kings and queens! The canapés and wine were totally delicious! We also enjoyed being driven in luxury by the hotel's staff wherever we needed to get around. The owner and his team made us feel at home and I cannot wait to go back soon!

Points positifs: Ma fiancée et moi avons séjourné 6 nuits dans cet hôtel. Nous avons pu profiter d’une très belle chambre confortable (bons coussins, sol de la salle de bain chauffé), d’une vue exceptionnelle (côté océan et montagne), de deux piscines extérieures chauffées (possibilité de s’y baigner en soirée également), de repas travaillés et de très bonne qualité (variétés dans les fruits et légumes), d’un personnel à notre écoute (si nous avions une demande particulière, ils étaient attentifs à nos besoins).
Points négatifs: Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l’hôtel. Rien de bien grave qui mérite d’être relevé dans ce commentaire.

Points négatifs: Staff were friendly but very unprofessional Separate shower available post checkout but reception refused use as they didn’t want to clean up afterwards (they’re exact words). We notified reception that we didn’t want breakfast but they continued to ask why and even rang our room at 8am to ask if we were coming. Breakfast average and staff continued to not listen to order requests, as did all other guests. Only permitted to use certain sun-beds, making the visit seem restrictive and too regimented. Hotel also noisy, with little privacy when in our room and being able to hear all outside activity. Not so private balcony areas with hotel staff constantly passing through making it feel less secluded.

Points négatifs: Il n'y avait pas de restaurant pour déjeuner ou dîner. Ce qui est un vrai manque dans un aussi bel hôtel. D'ailleurs, la nourriture cuisinée le matin était excellente et ils auraient pu proposer une restauration le soir. Il n'y avait pas de bouilloire et de tasses dans la chambre.

Points positifs: A very luxurious hotel / villa with an amazing breakfast, one of the best I had so far. It's location is perfect, not too far away from the center and therefore quiet. close to supermarkets, bars, restaurants and cafés and the cape town stadium as well as waterkant, all reachable by feet. the room was very nice with a cosy bed and flooded with natural light.

Les propriétaires sont très présents et comme le reste de l'équipe toujours très attentifs et prêts à donner de bons conseils. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et excellent et la piscine est un plus. Nous recommandons vivement.

Points positifs: Beautifully decorated and furnished hotel, with really wonderful, friendly staff. Breakfast was great, a good mixture of buffet and menu options. The menu options were especially tasty. Really liked the lounge and pool/outdoor areas, with bar and tea/coffee facilities. Location was quite central, but we wouldn't recommend walking at night to/from the hotel (in a taxi/Uber would be fine). Rooms and whole hotel were spotlessly clean.
Points négatifs: Our room was really small, so maybe don't go for the cheapest option like we did! It would be okay for one person, but for two of us it was really tight. If we'd been there any longer than 2 nights it would have got uncomfortable.

Points positifs: Vue imprenable surtout au coucher du soleil. . Très belle terrasse. Chambre très bien équipée avec petites attentions sucrées chaque jour. Petit déjeuner parfait. Personnel aux petits soins.
Points négatifs: Parking un peu limite si l'on a une voiture type SUV. Dommage qu'on ne puisse avoir des petits "en cas" que jusqu'à 19h. Jusqu'à 21h serait plus adapté. Cela reste malgré tout relativement onéreux.

Points positifs: L'hôtel offre une vue exceptionnelle sur la baie et la mer. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et le personnel très attentionné. On s'y sent comme à la maison, avec un accès direct à la cuisine et des espaces plus réduits. Les équipements sont de qualité et bien entretenus.
Points négatifs: La chambre n'avait pas de vue et était particulièrement sombre. La situation géographique de l'hôtel nécessite un véhicule pour les déplacements. Les bains sont interdits (Capetown souffre de manque d'eau) alors que la piscine était pleine...Manque de cohérence et surtout les hôtels dans les alentours ne sont pas aussi restrictifs que celui là. Pour le prix de la chambre, trouver une bassine dans la douche pour se laver me semble peu approprié. Enfin, le personnel de l'hôtel dort dans le salon, il est donc peu pratique le soir lorsqu'on veut prendre un dernier verre ou avoir une conversation téléphonique hors de la chambre...

Central & safe location It was well located in Cape Town and from here everything could be easily reached by car (private parking). The room was good, large bathroom, private balcony and great hotel facilities such as pool and breakfast. The staff was very helpful, even after check-out.

Points positifs: L'hôtel est magnifique dans un quartier huppé au coeur des vignes. Le jardin, la piscine tout est super beau avec une belle odeur de jasmin. Notre chambre donnait sur la piscine et les vignes, elle était très bien décorée et très confortables avec une terrasse. Le petit-déjeuner est magique et le personnel très attentionné. Ils ont adoré mon fils de 18 mois et ont tout fait pour rendre notre séjour agréable. C'est un séjour au-delà de mes espérances,j'en garderais un très bon souvenir et je reviendrai si je reviens au Cap un jour.

Points positifs: Bliss Hotel met all our expectations. On arrival, we got a warm welcome. During our 4 day stay, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire staff is certainly a strenght for this boutique hotel. Food was also very good especially at breakfast. The room was very clean, large enough and well equipped. Bathroom and shower very good. The whole building is well maintained, right on the beach where you can walk hours (Table Bay) and close enough to downtown Capetown. Private parking. Secure area. Great view on Table Montain. We would certainly return.

The staff is incredibly nice, the breakfast is truly amazing (buffet and a la carte menu), the interior looks like straight from a design magazine is full of thought through details (plus little treats available anywhere, including a Gin and Whisky Bar). The rooms are super quiet and have all the amenities you can think of (and more). Also the beds are really comfy. There is a small gym if you feel like working out between all the delicious food. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Points positifs: Worth every penny! We researched for hours the best hotel to start our honeymoon and Mannabay far exceeded our expectations. The team worked hard to have our room ready for when we arrived which was much earlier than the check in time and was a real bonus. The views from the Versailles suite are outstanding. Photos can’t do it justice. Food and hospitality here are remarkable. The afternoon tea was fantastic and the wine delicious. Everyone here goes the extra mile to look after you and the breakfast is awesome. Best hotel in Cape Town.

Points positifs: This lovely historic home could not have been more perfect for myself and 2 sisters. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, as well as kitchen, dining area and living room. Bedrooms had heat and A/C. Location was great in quiet residential area in the Gardens near Kloof Street with its restaurants. Breakfast was not included, but there were several restaurants nearby with good food at reasonable prices. Our hostess corresponded extremely well with us, and also made arrangements for our airport transfers. If I am lucky enough to get back to Cape Town, this is where I would stay. This Guest House is so much better than those big box hotels near the noisy wharf, but just a few minutes from V&A, Table Mountain and other City sights.

Points positifs: Le cadre: l’hôtel se trouve au pied d’un canal; on peut faire le tour par un petit bateau qui est amarré à l’hôtel. On passe par un petit pont . La piscine est magnifique et les enfants « ont pieds » . Les repas sont délicieux. Il y en a pour tous les goûts. Le matelas est parfait et les Oreillers sont en plumes. Je suis fragile de la nuque et j’ai donc dormi comme un bébé . Et le personnel ... d’une grande gentillesse. Les sud africains sont très doux dans leur regard et leurs gestes. Et on est à 5 min de l’aquarium et du port très animé surtout le soir. Superbe!

Points négatifs: Whether a one off or not, I had really bad experience of having to kill multiple cockroaches in my room the first night of my stay. Making staff aware the next morning, although friendly, I returned to my room late after a day of work and ready for bed, to be met with another couple of cockroaches scurrying from under the bathroom bin. Second of four nights stay. The next morning I informed the guest relations manager, who was very smiley and apologised (questionable sincerity) to be asked ‘were they big’ to which my response was ‘that’s missing the point’. I was moved so I guess all good, but 2 poor nights sleep, zero action for a whole day shows poor guest service. I’d rather there would have been less smiles and more to rectify the issue immediately, which may have made my 4 night stay more pleasant. It’s a real shame as the property is stunning, staff are friendly and I had such high hopes the first day, sadly my view changed and I will not be returning.

Points négatifs: I don’t think the rooms were being cleaned well, I could see hair on the bathroom floor after it had been cleaned. Also there was a plastic bag put in the bathroom bin only the first night, while the rest of the nights no bags were placed and I had to put one of my own everyday as it’s really not hygienic to throw directly in the bin.

Points positifs: Breakfast was fine although I am used to a wider choice (e.g., eggs other than scrambled, more fruit choice). Location was very good for the V&A Waterfront.
Points négatifs: Slightly worrying with the ship breakers yard across the road and what looked like a lot of exposed asbestos on one ship being broken up. We saw the hulk being washed down by a worker with hose and a little face mask (his fellow workers didn't even have this). I suspect there may be a health time bomb there for all workers and residents in that area as well as a risk to visitors. In addition to the human cost, this could cost Cape Town a lot of money in future through the cost of health care, compensation claims and its reputation as a tourist destination. Perhaps a good idea to commission independent asbestos inspectors from abroad to check out the area (to see how much asbestos may be accumulating) and the working practices of the yard.

Points négatifs: Reception disorganised/disinterested. On checking in, we carried all 4 of our bags and travel cot and stroller and no porter to offer assisiatnce. On the third night the front office staff decided that our baby sitter coulod only come to our room after signing ionto a book, that they could not find, and held us up for about 15 minutes while they looked...finally they allowed her to write on a piece of paper without checking the veracity therof. Each night we stayed, a flashing warning light on the ceiling kept going off, " oh don't worry about that, we'll switch it off". Despite asking the front desk NOT to call the room our kids ( 3 and 18 months) were sleeping in, the did so repeatedly on all three nights.
Bar staff inattentive,, room service slow and inefficient, meal for 2 ordered at 11:340 took an hour was cold, (although delicious) and arrived with 1 set of cutlery for 2 meals. ( one does not complain at that jucnture when one is hungry... i just ate.
As a family we have spend between 15 and 20 nights a year in Cape Town, always taking either a two bedroom suite or a hotel with interleading rooms. We have some favourites, and apart from a great location and great room, the service in this hotel is so ambivalent borderline disinterested that we will not return.

Points positifs: Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Location was perfect in a very safe area full of tourists. Just across the street from the main Hop on Hop off main station. Beds were very comfy!
Points négatifs: Never in my life have I had to request 2 room changes... at a chain like Marriott no less! First room was on the second floor n there were noises coming from the vent (the AC was off) due to lack of insulation from the rooftop. Second room was on a lower floor but had no wifi. Third room I moved to was in main building and great. So be sure to request a room in the main hotel building, not in the adjacent university building. Aside from poor wifi and the weird setup of the hotel, everything else was pleasant.
