Points positifs: petit déjeuner très bien. emplacement parfait. les chambres type SUITES sont bien (éviter les autres). l'établissement peut conserver vos valises sans surcoût si vous voyagez ds le pays et revenez ensuite,c'est appréciable. pas de touristes occidentaux.
Points négatifs: avant 15H pour l'enregistrement il est impossible d'obtenir les clés sans payer un supplément! Hormis les Suites qui sont de confortables chambres,les autres chambres sont très petites et avec une petite fenêtre,donc sombres et peu agréables.

Points positifs: Location is almost perfect. Right across the road from Ximending, and right next to a subway exit! Rooms clean and well-kept, staff are friendly and warm.
Points négatifs: Layout of hotel floor and lift access - basically the building is designed as a square enclosing a central courtyard but lift access to the ground floor and lobby exit is only on one side. Long walk time to your room if your room is on the opposite side of the ground access lift lobby.

Points négatifs: Customer service is seriously lacking!!! Beer was taken from our room. We spoke to numerous ‘managers’ about this and were told they asked the cleaner who denied it and couldn’t see anything on the cctv footage. Therefore, they weren’t going to do anything about it. Not an apology, no acknowledgement just nothing! Breakfast was below average, with staff packing up the food way before the 10am finish time. One day I had to ask for bread at 9:40am as it had already been taken away. There was no variety, the food choices were the same everyday.

Points positifs: Bathroom design was bad! The bathroom was flooded with water after bathing as the bathtub was not fully concealed by the separator causing water to sprayed out of the premise. In addition, there isn't any blinds installed in the bathroom, hence you may have a live bathing show. This can be awkward and uncomfortable for travelers with family members (siblings) like me! The funny part is I explicitly booked a family room (2 queen bed) and such bathroom design was implemented by the hotel, resulting in the need for us to leave the room while the other is bathing (troublesome)!

Points négatifs: Despite there was air conditioning regulator in a room it was hard to raise the temperature and in was chilly in the room all the time. The window extremely dirty - so despite 19th floor - there was no view. Swimming pool closed - despite booking.com said it was open. Very limited choice of continental breakfast, moreover food was cold.

Points positifs: J'ai beaucoup aimé mon séjour dans cet hôtel. L'emplacement de cet hôtel est très bon, et le métro très proche. Propreté parfaite. Des boissons sont offertes ce qui est très appréciable. Le lit est confortable. Un petit 7/11 est très proche de l'hôtel, très pratique. La gare des trains suburbains juste en dessous de l'hôtel, qui peuvent également vous emmener à Ximen en 5min.
Points négatifs: Le seul reproche que j'aurais à faire est la longue attente aux ascenseurs à certains moments de la journée. Également un employé qui a été désagréable avec moi, ceci car il s'occupait d'un VIP à priori, et que je ne comptais plus, en tant que client, pour lui, à ce moment là. Heureusement que les autres employés ont relevés le niveau.

Points positifs: Personnel disponible , courtois et professionnel et surtout qui parle anglais! Ils nous ont été d une aide très appréciable pour organiser nos trajets et excursions avec notamment les taxis locaux qui ne parlent pas du tout l'anglais. Le petit déjeuner propose une diversité et une qualité correctes. Il y a un seven eleven et la station de mrt LUNGSHAN , à quelques minutes à pied de l'hôtel , il est donc aisé de faire quelques courses et de se déplacer depuis l'hôtel

Points positifs: C'est une belle ville, élégante et pleine d'histoire. Bien que certains équipements soient vieux et doivent être mis à jour. On a fait un bout de chemin à pied pour arriver à la chambre, du fait que j'avais un problème au genou, ça a été une vraie galère.

Points positifs: Il y a un bus pour vous rendre à l'hôtel et de l'aéroport pour environ 3 $. C'est pratique pour se rendre au Musée du Palais National, un fabuleux musée d'art chinois Le restaurant est correct, mais nous avons apprécié le restaurant du club qui se trouve sur le campus.
Points négatifs: C'est un hôtel qui propose des groupes de visites. Nous avions une petite chambre avec une belle baignoire, mais elle était à l'intérieur donc pas de fenêtres. Nous avons utilisé le concierge qui a fait tout son possible pour nous aider, mais la réception était moins serviable.

Points positifs: It was exceptional good value considering it was Taipei. Room was decorated nicely and kept clean by the maids. The staff were very helpful with advice and directions. Location was perfect, walking distance to a number of places. I would not hesitate to book again.

Points positifs: Fast check in, it took me 2 minutes only to check in using the computer at the counter. Location is very near to Taipei Main Station even though there's no lift at the exit nearest to the hotel and it's walking distance to Ximending. Good location if you're planning to go for day trips. The room has high technology, you can control everything using the iPad. The bed is very big and comfortable.
Points négatifs: There was damp smell in the bathroom, I think it lacks of ventilation so it's best to keep the door open. Room size is quote small so it's hard to open 2 medium-sized luggages at the same time.

Points négatifs: 1. Bed was very underwhelming - my partner is about 10kg heavier than I am and it was extremely obvious from the way the mattress sunk in and my sleep was compromised. I don't think this is supposed to happen for good quality mattresses. 2. Breakfast selection was pretty limited - about 5 or 6 hot items. Would not have opted for breakfast inclusion if we had known. 3. Wet and dry areas of the toilet weren't segregated.

Points positifs: Quite small but "smart" rooms. Loved the blackout curtains. Very good breakfast with good coffee. The personell was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Good cocktails at the bar. Location directly at the end station of the airport metro.
Points négatifs: The food options in the canteenM could have been a bit more varied (very focussed on asian tastes, little veg options). There is a "blackout" button on the smart control Pad (turns off TV, lights and brings down the curtains) which is great. It would be also great to have a "wakeup" button (to turn a dimmed light on and bring the blackout curtains up). At the moment the light goes on "full blast" when you switch it on. (feels a bit like a vampire gets struck by sunlight) ;-)

Points positifs: I stayed here for the 2nd time and I liked it even more than last year. Location is great, rooms and interior design as well, but what makes the difference are the people working there. During the actual crisis we had some problems with our flights and our next hotel in Kaohsiung. The lovely people at CitizenM were extremely helpful and cheered us up every day. We got some free drinks at the bar and had a wonderful time in Taipei. 11 of 10 stars for the ambassadors!

Points négatifs: J'étais au 8ème étage et il y avait une odeur de mort dans le couloir. Les toilettes électriques ne marchait pas et la porte de la douche a fui l'eau au sol de la salle de bains. Quant au buffet du petit déjeuner, alors que le service était super, le petit déjeuner était décevant au mieux. Ils auraient pu facilement améliorer la qualité, par exemple, si vous servez des bagels et des cakes, s'il vous plaît avoir du fromage à la crème disponible... et bien sûr, certains tranches de concombre, de tomates et de câpres seront aussi agréables.

We informed the front desk, they imediately took action to check on the clesaning staff, sanitize our room twice and offerred to change our room for us. They assured us the cleaning staff is fine too. The hotel constantly santized the area and checked the tempature of all visitors and staff. They also provided sanitizer for all visitors. We felt safe and assured.

Points négatifs: Went out in the morning, returned back to room at 5pm. Once opened room door was shocked that room was still not cleaned up. Called the Reception they said will check with housekeeping but could not provide reason why. A few minutes later some one knock on the door. Housekeeping Supervisor and staff standing outside asking to clean room. We told them to come back at 5.30pm as we need to take a rest. Asked what happened why our room not cleaned. The reply was staff is new and work slower and probably missed out our room. Is this reason acceptable? Anyway, we returned later in the night and the room is done plus a plate of complimentary fresh fruits. The room small window is behind the bed. The top of curtain do not completed covered the window. Hence early morning sunlight came through and quite disturbing.

Sanitizer stations everywhere and even had my temperature checked again at check-in. The views from my room were really cool. Especially from the huge window in the tub. Everything was spotless and beyond what I expected. The staff was kind and made my stay very enjoyable. I can’t wait to return.

The hotel is located right in the centre, connected to Y underground path so it was so easy for us to explore the city from the hotel. All the staff who responded my emails before arrival were polite and professional.
Points négatifs: The lobby and the breakfast area are way too dark. We couldn’t see the breakfast on our own plate at the table. Also it is decorated way too much it didn’t make us feel relaxed. Too many mirrors. The staff at the breakfast reception didn’t seem to know what they are doing.

Points positifs: Staff service from the front desk, dinning, cleaning and customer service all great, nice staff, thumbs up My room with a balcony, make it brighter and flesh air in the room. Filled up all the stationary, mini bar, bathroom supplies, coffee and tea bags, clean up my place twice a day, print out my boarding passes and small gift at the check out time. Good breakfast, nice lunch and dinner. The best part is the dessert sections, match the French standard. I am lucky travel to France for the past 15 years, dessert is the part me and wife enjoy a lot (beside shopping $$). So far, dessert is the best I ever had in Taipei. Location is also the reason why I picked this hotel again, next to the main train station and subway stations, you can go anywhere by using public transit systems by bus, subway and trains. The shopping mall service a lot of tourist request, even have an foreign exchange center there, rate is better than the airport plus it work till the end of the shopping mall hour. Across the street will be local Taiwanese food, all the thing famous in Taiwan like 95% food choices are there, price is good deal.
Points négatifs: The interior decoration is a little bit dark, also the bathroom layout is hard for elderly person to step in the tall bath tub plus is kind of open concept (may be romantic for someone), not my personal comfort zone. As a whole, the whole hotel design is on the dark side. My personal preference is bright, too bad could not do much about it.

We expected the room to have own toilet but to our dismay, it's a dormitory type without own bathroom and comfort room so we have to upgrade. Thanks to your front desk personnel, Mr. Smith. We were able to move in another room with dedicated comfort room. However, there should be a cabinet installed in all your rooms for your guest's clothes instead of having them placed elsewhere or inside their luggage. Thank you very much for having our comments!

Points positifs: We arrived at the Grand Mayfull on Saturday 15th January 2020 and stayed for 1 night. We stayed in a Family Elite Suite. The room was c. 800 Sqft with 2 King Beds in one room and a sofa bed in another. We were a group of 4. The Room had two bathrooms. Room: Spectacular. Very plush. Very modern. Very spacious. One of the best city hotel rooms I have ever stayed in (and I have stayed in plenty trust me…). The bathrooms were huge. Bath was very lavish with expensive bath salts provided. The toiletries were all Hermes or White Company. Technology was state of the art. Plenty of storage space. All round 10/10. Service: English speaking was limited. However, staff are very efficient and well drilled. Location: Great Location. Situated on a high-end road. 15 minutes from Taipei 101. 5 minutes from the National Palace. Lots of good restaurants near by. Other Highlights: Spa was fantastic. Felt brand-new. Male / Female only areas. Sauna, Jacuzzis, Steam rooms. All to the very best quality. The perfect treatment after a long day walking around Taipei. Wow! Food was also great. We had the Weekend Buffet at the Italian Restaurant (we wanted a taste of home after 2 weeks of Asian Food) and we were very impressed. Hong Kong restaurant was also good although get there early if you want a chance at having the Duck. It sells out quickly.

Nous apprenons que les chambres n’étaient pas encore prêtes et que nous devions attendre 4 heures. Les réceptionnistes ne font preuve d’aucune flexibilité et n’est pas souriant. Les réceptionnistes n’étaient pas capables de nous guider dans nos visites, heureusement que les portiers étaient là ! Les réceptionnistes n’étaient pas en mesure de nous recommander un restaurant à proximité (les restaurants de l’hôtel ferment très tôt). Le petit déjeuner s’adresse à une clientèle asiatique. Vous y trouverez beaucoup de viandes, de poissons, de soupes et de nouilles et seulement quelques biscuits. La salle de sport ferme à 22h, les soins proposés par le spa sont très limités. Il est a noter que l’hôtel est excentré, vraiment pas idéal pour visiter la ville ! En bref, une déception sur tous les plans !!

Points positifs: The hot springs facility is amazing. 8 big baths of differing spring water. The rooms are also spacious, clean, and comfortable. Staff are attentive and welcoming.
Points négatifs: The food is the biggest disappointment. The breakfast was not to the level of the resort. Poached eggs were overdone and the toast was thin and dry. The frittata was just OK. Basically, a five-star hotel is serving Holiday Inn breakfast. The only good part of the breakfast was the fresh-squeezed juice. Communication among the staff was also lacking. We were told we could eat breakfast in the restaurant or in the room. We chose the restaurant, but when I went down, the staff were confused and said breakfast usually can only be had in the room. Also, again for a world class resort the hot springs spa is lacking in amenities like face wash and facial moisturizer.

Points positifs: Nice decor, the room is on the small side, great sauna & spa. No rowing machine in the gym but nice spread of equipment. Provides free yoga, pilates & other classes but not in very convenient times. Breakfast is outrageously expensive, I've had much better ones with a lot lower prices. Not many eateries in the vicinity, just world trade center. For good food, have to take metro to a couple stops away. It's great value because I'm booking with promotion (3rd night free) now due to coronavirus that halted most travels. Otherwise the regular price is not good for value as there are many fabulous new local brand hotels in town.

Lits très confortables. Belle piscine joliment éclairée le soir (mais un peu froide pour la baignade même si elle est chauffée). Excellent petit déjeuner. Parking appréciable.

I really like the sit down area to just enjoy drinks/coffee and be a place for work and business meeting while enjoying the view. Hotel service was quick, courteous, very professional and accommodating. I would definitely book here for future trips!

Points positifs: Pleasant stay at a business hotel situated in the newly built retail district in Taipei, very close to a number of luxury shopping and dining venues. In walking distance to Taipei's 101 Tower, formerly the tallest building in the world. Breakfast has a good choice of Western and Asian options, the room (we had a small suite) was very well equipped and the bed was exceptionally comfortable! Very friendly and attentive staff. Also, the hotel has an interesting art collection, which is always a bonus.
Points négatifs: The bar and lobby area was somewhat sterile and uninviting. When we sat down for a drink at the bar in the evening, the loud techno music seemed completely out of place and even after requesting to turn it down, we were told it had to be on. After our experience there we went for drinks at the more inviting bar at Humble House hotel just around the corner and found it much more enjoyable.

Points négatifs: On nous a donné une chambre et le courant a coupé 5 minutes plus tard (seulement dans cette chambre), ils nous ont déménagé dans une autre chambre. Deux des quatre jours, ils nous ont dit que nous aurions un petit déjeuner en boîte (que nous avons payé), puis nous ne l'avons pas eu. Ils nous ont remboursé l'argent, mais c'était un problème. La dernière nuit, la climatisation est sortie dans l'hôtel... quand nous nous sommes réveillés, il y avait 87 degrés dans notre chambre.

Points négatifs: Des murs fins, si fins que vous pouvez entendre les conversations des voisins. Et chaque fois qu'une sonnette autour de vous sonne, cela ressemble à la vôtre. Le petit déjeuner était également horrible, et bien qu'ils aient leur propre bar, il ferme très tôt la plupart des nuits.

Points négatifs: I booked a room with my credit card (to secure my space) and the confirmation letter said the fee will be paid at the hotel upon my arrival, so when I checked in, I told them I'll pay cash for my stay; thus, I thought they wouldn't charge the fee on my credit card when I checked out and told them again that I'd pay cash for my stay; after I got home from my trip in Taipei, I checked my credit card account and saw a pending fee for the hotel stay; I called Sparkle hotel immediately and then I was told I'll have to wait for up to one month (since I'm using a foreign credit card) to wait for the bank to process the refund.... if I had known or was told that they have already charged the fee on the card when I was going to check out, then I wouldn't have had decided to pay with cash then and thus can avoid going through the time-consuming process of getting my money back later. I wish they'd inform the customers in advance if SPARKLE hotel has already charged the fee on the card upon check-in. The hotel is great in all ways, and I really enjoy my stay there with my kid. I guess I'll just have to ask the front desk about the payment upon my check-in in the future more carefully. I'll definitely choose to stay in this hotel again in the future!
