Points positifs : Drop off was very easy, car itself performed well.
Points négatifs : LIne to get car was extremely long. it was moved to hertz counter that had only 2 people working and at least 30 people in line. When we picked up the car it had a certified clean label on the door which was a joke. Dog hair everywhere in the car - stuck to steering wheel, etc. A bottle of CBD oil in the cupholder with dog hair stuck to it. Passenger side dashboard was filthy like someone put their dirty feet/shoes up on it. Clearly no one cleaned or wiped it down at all. if we weren't in a hurry and hadn't already stayed in line for an hour we would have rejected the car.
Points positifs : It was utterly disappointing to see that the reservation counter was closed at 11:00pm when I had the reservation to pick up at 11:00pm. on 9/4/20. I left multiple voice messages to the manager on duty but no one had a courtesy to call back ever! The reservation should NOT have been allowed to start with if the counter is closed at the time of pick up. Also, the local Thrifty airport contact phone number informs that the. counter is opened at the Austin Airport till Midnight!!. I had to spend another hundred dollars, come back again the next morning to pick up my rental vehicle
Points négatifs : Provide compensation for the inconvenience and better communication on the reservation and the counter hours of operation and the availability of the cars
Points négatifs : Hidden charges when picking up car at airport. Price on Kayak should reflect total price of vehicle. $155 in unexpected costs made this an unpleasant experience. This is unacceptable. Additionally, I booked a 7:00 AM pick up time, and Thrifty WAS NOT EVEN OPEN at this time. This could have ruined my trip if not for the Hertz employee who happened to be there 3 hours before the official open time. Will not book through Kayak or Thrifty again.

Points négatifs : I was surprised by all the charges at the airport. It ended up so much more expensive than I thought. Staff were excellent but it just cost too much

Points négatifs : I made the reservation on line (the mother) using my credit card. The confirmation said the driver would have to present license and credit card at pick up (which was going to be my adult son). When we picked the car up we were not allowed to do this without paying extra to have him be the driver. We were told because the reservation was in my name I had to be the first driver. If the on-line reservation would have stated this we would have had him make the reservation. Seems like you could have been more accommodating at the pick up time. Not sure why it makes a difference whose name is on the reservation.
Points positifs : Very friendly people especially at the pickup and dropoff
Points négatifs : First I wanted a car with a navigation system, after 45 minutes at pickup we figured out that the car did not have navigation, then too late an behind schedule had to leave. This created a lot of issues on my trip having to navigate by cell phone.....major problem. Second spent 3 hours on the phone with multiple calls trying to determine if I could drop the car at Hobby Houston at 4am....called and called and called again. Will not rent from Thrifty in the future.
Points positifs : The car was clean but also Gas tank was not full at pick up
Points négatifs : Be prepared to wait in line at the counter for at least an hour before getting your rental. Counter guy says we have a choice & we go out to get our car and we don’t have any selection. The staff outside did not provide us undivided attention & lacked customer service. The exit gate guy took our key fob and did not return it upon us leaving the gate. Luckily we figured out the fob was missing before leaving the premises & turned around. At return it seemed to be such a hassle to close out my rental due to agent nowhere to be found. I wanted to confirm my charges due to the horrible service at pick up and I had to take a picture on my phone from the guy’s tablet as a form of receipt. This location lacked customer service and coming from a formal rental car employee, I know what is expected from these people and traveling all day the last thing you want is a bad rental car experience.
Points positifs : Staff did NOT try to oversell!
Points négatifs : The car smelled like vomit then broke down halfway through the rental period. To remediate this, Thrifty asked me accompany a tow truck driver to a location 40 minutes away. Instead, I chose to end my rental. Since then I haven’t been able to get any information from Thrifty regarding a refund. Very frustrating to deal with their roadside assistance, customer service, and the local franchise.
Points négatifs : Clerk was at restroom. I had to rent from Budget at a higher price.

Points négatifs : The fine print and details of reserving a car are horrible. Customer service was very lacking, really no help in resolving me issue what so ever, besides trying to uncharge me for a different car.
