It is just a normal flight. Short flight. The Aircraft was bit older and was very shaky.

We did not receive any compensation, but Singapore/Silk Airlines told us they were able to get us a flight home to LAX instead, but that it wouldn't be until the next day. We spent money on a hotel and food and waited until the next morning, got to the airport early for check in only to find that Singapore/Silk had in fact, given up our seats that they had promised us. They said that we now would have to wait another day just to get a flight from Singapore to LAX. We asked to speak with a manager, and eventually were able to get two seats due to cancellations. This was intended to be a very special and romantic trip that was essentially ruined. Since no one could have anticipated that the volcano would cause cancellation, we should be refunded for our flights. We are so crushed that we did not get to go to Bali, and now we may NEVER get to go because we are out of money. At the VERY least, the leg of our flights from Singapore to Bali, and Bali to Singapore, should be refunded. We are extremely disappointed."

Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."

I arrived at the airport 1 hour and 45 minutes before departure. By the time I had check in and pass through passport control and security it was just 20 minutes until flight departure time"

I had 2 suit case one was 24.5 kg and other one was 25 kg, they wanted me to pay $132 for each bag or take out stuff to make it 23kg. Never met someone that horrible who doesn’t want to let it go. I requested the wheelchair and they dont wana give it to me, I had no choice but to call their supervisor and eventually got wheelchair only from jfk to abu dhabi. Worse experience."

Why must you pay $600 for missing a flight you ALREADY PAID for. I loved my first experience with Etihad but second time was not as pleasant."

Points positifs : "Après une heure dans l'avion sans climatisation malgré un personnel de bord irréprochable (distribution de boissons) on nous annonce le débarquement, diriger et abandonne dans un terminal malgré un repas offert, pas d'information après renseignement auprès d'un accompagnant de tour operator j'apprend qu'il faut se rendre à la même porte où nous embarqueront avec 4 heures de retard. Un grand merci au personnel de cabine mais le responsable au sol .... Mais en plus de 10 vol Ave Etihad c'est ma seul mauvaise expérience et de plus j'ai payer 200fr pour changer de vol et arriver 4 h 30 plus tôt résultat gagné 30 minutes oups"

Après notre acceptation, en dernière minute, nous avons finalement embarqué sur ETIHAD. Là fut notre erreur car lors de la correspondance à Abu dhabi nous étions de nouveau surbooké à 23h00 ! malgré nos borading pass. Au bout de 2h de négociation nous avons obtenu une chambre d'hotel de 1h du matin à 6h.... pour reprendre le vol suivant à 8h30.... Aucune indemnisation, ni surclassement, as même un code wifi .... COMPAGNIE A EVITER A TOUT PRIS, c'est du LOW COST et le SAV est CATASTROPHIQUE. Points négatifs : "1. seats - they have done an excellent job of cramping as many seats as possible with minimal leg space 2. food - smelly distasteful and disgusting. i think that sums it up 3. staff - unfriendly, there was a attending guy who thought he owns the airline and behaving as if everyone on the flight was his slave. bottom line - my first and last flight with etihad - i'll pay few hundred bucks more and take another airline next time"

Points positifs : "The food was pretty good for airline meals. We really made good use of the entertainment system which had many great movies and a kids interactive touchscreen. This entertainment system made the flight! Boarding was quick and easy and the ammenty packagfes (eye covers headphones socks ear plugs etc.) and a kids activity book was also great."
Points négatifs : "My kids are 14 and 15, traveling as unaccompanied Minors to visit their dad in Kuwait. We chose a Etihad because they would only have to be on 1 plane by themselves. I put them safely on the plane in Chicago, and their Dad flew to Abu Dhabi to meet them when they got off the plane and fly together to Kuwait. On the return flight they fly to Abu Dhabi with no problem. Then, they try to board their connecting flight to Chicago, and they tell my kids they overbooked the flight and they can't travel for at lest 2 more days. If they had to remove someone from the plane, how in the hell do they choose a 14 and 15 year old traveling alone to stay in Abu Dhabi for 2 full days! I'm livid!"
