Another told me my husband couldn’t receive his meal because he was napping and then he quickly walked away— Yet i received mine on the flight coming to Australia when my husband asked for me? Sanitation between flights should be more strict-my headphones were opened which lead me to believe my pillow wasn’t changed either, since one had a case and one didn’t."

Their excuse was that both the kayaks and paddle bags were 2 inches too long. .. TWO INCHES!!!!!! We had record of the person we talked to and the time and date, but none of that seemed to matter. It caused A HUGE INCONVENIENCE for us since we are in Zambia for 6 weeks without our gear to paddle one of the most challenging rivers in the world... the Zambezi. Now we are constantly trying to acquire the proper equipment with very little success. We run a nonprofit called the Montana Kayak Academy which provides free whitewater instruction to youth between 8 &18 yrs old and we will be sure to tell everyone we know to NOT TRAVEL WITH EITHER VIRGIN ATLANTIC OR BRITISH AIRWAYS.... EVER!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

They tried to hold me back in a separate area after the screening and I once again told them my fiancee was waiting for me. One staff memeber walked with me half way back to get her and then disappeared. By the time I found her and came back, the staff memeber was no where to be found. Now we had lost are spot in the line and had to go to the back of the line. We spoke to 3 different staff people about what was going on and everyone said, oh the guy over there will help you. But no one did. The staff had No idea how to run a security check or handle paople. There was No working wifi! There was no tvs in the seats, only the old style in the aisle. The staff told me the plan was going to retire at the end of the month. The food was more for animals then for humans! We got updates by txt 10 mins before the staff updated the gate on our flight out from SFO. I have traveled all over the world with a lot of airlines and Never had such a poor service, but what is it to expect. It was United after all!"

Inadequate lighting for,boarding, unable to activate reading lights until AFTER TAKEOFF = groping in semi darkness, BAD! No window blinds = woken up by blazing sun in middle of 11 hr night flight, even with sleeping pills my sleep was wrecked, even with eyemask. Passengers penned in on narrow aisles by trolleys, unable to walk around plane & risk of DVT. Passengers disempowered by restricted space, lighting, mobility. I want more control over my personal mobility &, lighting. Horrible headsets (bring my own). This flight departed 2.5 HRs LATE from JHB & the crew & cavin service was SLOW. NO requested second cup of tea brought - I waited 20 mins & climbed over trolleys to get another one, even though it was requested of cabin crew. Do they just ignore us? Or forget?"

When we got to the airport it cost us $130 each to check our bag which we were told it would have been around $50 if we had done it online ahead of time (if we knew). $130 per bag is excessive for checked luggage and we were extremely frustrated and disappointed. I like to fly Virgin when I can due to comfort but that experience left much to be desired."
