Next problem was their REFUSAL to give me an aisle seat. I reserved an aisle seat originally, aisle seats were available when I tried to change, but agent REFUSED to accommodate me with either aisle or window. Sat in middle with huge guy next to me. Very uncomfortable. Food was mediocre on this leg. Oh, and late departing AGAIN. Will seriously look for other options on next trip."

(Doha agent told me dfferent rules appied for carrry on 2nd plane even though I asked specifically frm original agent who checked me thru to final dest--insisted I check main carry on even though there turned out to be plenty of overhead room on board). Poor coordination of checkin lines, security lanes, and flow of people -- all fixable with a little forethought, engineering, and better utilization of circulation space -- and much clearer communication!"

Even though we had confirmed veg meals multiple times with the airline prior to boarding, they still did not know that we had a specially requested Meal. After notifying the crew of this, one member gave us an extra meal. Another extremely rude staff member then proceeded to yell at us for eating meal. This was extremely uncalled for and has severly ruined the reputation of this airline in our eyes. The customer should still be addressed with some common courtesy and not be treated as if they are beneath the crew members, as if we are at fault for the crew's own carelessly stupid mistakes and lack of organization and proper communication"

The flight attendant even gave me some tips to ensure nobody sat there. This flight was on an A380 so the plane was large and it felt spacious."
Points négatifs : "There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. I would always bring my own water on the flight, but Australian regulations prevent more than 100mls being carried on flight. 4) The service is inconsistent, some staff are just downright rude and others are incredibly friendly. The time waiting after pressing the call bell is excessive and in one case my drink never arrived. 5) Unlike other airlines, they don’t give you a “menu” to chose from for the inflight meal. Instead they just come around asking “Chicken, Lamb or vegetarian”, and lack any real understanding of what’s actually in the food. 6) When you order a drink, they open the can pour some into a cup but don’t give you the remainder in the can. 7) The inflight wifi is expensive. 19.95 USD for 180mb puts them at one of the most expensive. Overall, I would have expected a bit more from an airline such as Etihad."

The crew to abu Dhabi was Ok but I had the worst experience ever on the flight to Ahmedabad. I actually got yelled at by an air hostess because I accomodated an elderly couple to sit togather and I sat on next seat over. Not a common sense airline. The Abu Dhabi airport was hot as hell. Yes, inside the airport terminal was super hot, close to 90 degrees.... Emirates is far superior Airline than this."

Après notre acceptation, en dernière minute, nous avons finalement embarqué sur ETIHAD. Là fut notre erreur car lors de la correspondance à Abu dhabi nous étions de nouveau surbooké à 23h00 ! malgré nos borading pass. Au bout de 2h de négociation nous avons obtenu une chambre d'hotel de 1h du matin à 6h.... pour reprendre le vol suivant à 8h30.... Aucune indemnisation, ni surclassement, as même un code wifi .... COMPAGNIE A EVITER A TOUT PRIS, c'est du LOW COST et le SAV est CATASTROPHIQUE. Points négatifs : "the Food is the worst ever, i had better experience on an economy class with a budget airliner. on the 4 sectors i had with Etihad, it was breakfast menu no matter what time it was and it was the same choices which had to do with a form of eggs. i opted not to be served. the plane is old, seat is not functioning well, entertainment screen was not touch and had to be operated with the remote which was not working. really it was a huge disappointment. may be Etihad reserve their good stuff for the European and American sectors. I will never fly Etihad business unless I have no choice."

This was an A320 and I was about #10 getting on the flight. Space was not an issue. This added an hour to a 25 hour day to wait for luggage at LAX. And BA gives the agents an edge in that their test fixture has rounded corners to that a 22 inch suitcase that has hard square edges at the bottom (or wheels that make it square) won't fit in it. So the agent just points that it doesn't fit and you have to check. I was not happy from Paris to London."

Points négatifs : "The problem is the time Air China to make the connection flight. It only allows one and half hour from the flight from Hong Kong to Beijing and the latter to Washington Dulles. When the plane touched down in Beijing, it took over half an hour just to taxi to the gate. I have to run literally from the gate to the immigration and to TSA. I had also cut the line to get to the front so I don't missed the connecting flight. There were people screamed and yelled about our action (I Have 2 other couples under the same situation and don't want to miss their flight). But I finally made the security understand that we were told by Air China (with the red Air China round sticker) that we should cut the line to get to our plane. This is second time happened to me and Air China won't wait to close its gate when departure time arrives. I am not sure what will happen if I miss the connection. I stranded one night in Beijing with Continental couple years ago because of typhoon and was told the airline is not required to do anything for you because of weather related. But the connection issue needs to be addressed as I am sure some of my fellow passengers had missed their connecting flight yesterday. For now, I will stay away from Beijing connection ( ie no more Air China) until the latter makes some realistic adjustment to its connecting schedule. This is not difficult but they need to be aware and lessen stress to its customers. Beijing airport authority needs better facility with properly trained personnel to facilitate the transfer process. I had used Tokyo and Seoul with so much ease. Beijing needs to get up"

I saved games and movies I wanted to play onto my phone for my 20hr flight and learned from the flight attendant that phones usage was not permitted. What a waste. Plus their movie selections were very limited and a complete joke compared to American, Delta, Virgin, or JetBlue. 2. Food: HORRIBLE TASTING FOOD. Air China should be ashamed of themselves to represent "Chinese food" in this way. I found 3 out of 4 of my meals completely inedible and absolutely disgusting. 3. Most cramped seats I've ever flew in: These seats are just tests to see how much you can put up with flying."

Third, delay the airlines without airline people help.. delay almost 10 hrs to flight back to HK .. never buy this airline ticket.. very bad service.."

Eventually, the wife moved and there was an empty seat that was then filled with my neighbor who put her feet in my lap when she sprawled out. I did not sleep for the entire 10 hours."
