Points négatifs : "My experience with china airlines was the worst. I travel with surfboards. I called a head of time and got quoted a price and when I showed up they tried to charge me quadruple. They said I needed to pay 460 dollars! After arguing with them for 1 hr. They told us the flight was cancelled. Went to Singapore air& they were the best. Free for surfboards. And staff was very helpful. China air is unprofessional, and disrespectful. I will never fly with them again, nor will I recommend them to any of my friends, family, or colleagues."

Points positifs : "Flight was delayed which made me lose my connecting flight to austin. At the counter I was told that they had rescheduled but that I was late. I was late because customs took long and the flight from Taipei was 30 minutes late. So it's not like I was wasting time. I did not appreciate that the blame was placed on me in the way the counter people communicated with me. I noticed that the counter woman, and the supervisor did not speak to me at all. Not even to say "let me find out" or "sorry for the inconvenience" but both did speak to other customers that were of Asian Descent. They communicated both in English and Chinese. The young woman that booked the flight for me (different one from counter woman) was decent and attentive. Sherry who was the third woman I dealt with when I needed to sort the baggage issue was very attentive even explaining to the supervisor why It was the second time I was back at their offices. She went out of her way to make sure I saw my bags delivered to the UA luggage. But again, I am very disappointed and can't help to notice that other passengers received basic cordial treatment when I was blatantly ignored."

I also like that when I had an issue with a crew member a manager and her boss both came to talk to me about what happened and offered apologies. They handled the situation with respect and class."

Once in a new seat though I was good and comfortable until a crew member had issues with my placement in an empty row that he wanted to use later in the flight to take a nap. What he did next was not nice, lacked communication and almost ruined the long flight for me. If it wasn't for the rest of the crew being great and his managers apologizing and listening to the full complaint I would probably have decided never to take China airlines again. Will I fly China airlines again? Yes, I will."
