Gate crews, ticket counter personnel, flight crews are pretty rude and simply refuse to answer direct questions if they dont want to. Seem genuinely displeased if they have to bother speaking any language but their own to communicate with international passengers. Customer Service i believe is merely a joke to the entire company. If i was a religious person i would pray no one ever has to use their feedback system or try to communicate with their customer service group by phone. Thats what i get for being American i guess, just higher hygiene standards and expectations on service for the price paid."

First stage they called people to board by category first people that needed more time then families with small children etc. HOWEVER, the put all of us in an intermediate room and the door to the gate was closed. They passed everyone so when the gate door opened everyone were trying to get to the gate and there was no order. That was stupid to say the least. Points négatifs : "After missing our connecting flight in Istanbul on our Turkish Airlines flight on January 9th from LAX-Addis Ababa (due to a nearly 45 minute delayed flight), my sister and I had to spend 24 hours in Istanbul and still pay for a night in our 4 star hotel in Addis, despite the fact that we weren't there. So, in preparation for our flight back to LAX, I spent hours on the phone with a Turkish Airlines representative to ensure that we would not miss our connecting flight on the way back to LAX on January 29 (Jomo Kenyatta-IST-LAX). The TA representative spoke very little English and became incredibly frustrated with me when I expressed my concern about how closely scheduled our connecting flights in Istanbul were. The representative said she could "help us" by seating us at the back of the plane from Jomo Kenyatta-IST, as she was "mostly sure" that our plane would deboard from the back of the plane once we arrived in Istanbul and, in theory, we wouldn't have to wait behind all the other customers to exit. This was totally incorrect: our plane only deboarded from the front exit door and the seats she selected at the back would surely have caused us to miss our next flight were it not for the fact that the plane wasn't full and we arrived only a few minutes late. Still, by the time we got off the plane in IST, our connecting flight was already 15 minutes into boarding. We showed the TA attendants our boarding passes at the long security line, and at first they both said, "don't worry, it will be fine". I had to convince them to let us skip the line as we would clearly have missed our flight. Once we finally made it through security we ran through the ENTIRE Istanbul airport to get to our gate, as we could hear them calling the final boarding call for our flight to LAX. We literally ran as fast as we could for almost 20 minutes straight, with all of our bags, which ended up being over a mile, I would guess. When we got to our gate, we had to go through yet another security line - WHY??? Apparently there was a celebrity in front of us, and while we were sweating and nervous about missing our flight, the security agents were taking selfies with the celebrity. It was insulting and rude and totally unprofessional. The take away for me is that Turkish Airlines should NOT be allowed to sell flights to people that give them less than an hour to make international connecting, especially in an airport as large and disorganized as Istanbul, and especially when Turkish Airlines flights are often late or delayed. This was one of the most stressful flying experiences of my life."

Bad customer service. Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. It was so awful and so loud you couldn't even hear your own entertainment playing from your own headsets. I understand music while boarding and de-planing but there is absolutely no reason to have that playing that long after take off and hat soon before landing."

I was scheduled from Dar to Blantyre to Lilongwe then to Blantyre AGAIN, my obvious final destination. Luckily the crew at Malawian Airlines allowed me off the plane early and edited my booking for the return journey efficiently and easily."

Points positifs : "It’s acctually the second time , just last week 23rd , our flight with delta got delayed that made us missed our connecting flight and I had to pass through Nairobi, female crew serving snacks came over to me with snacks and told me I ordered low fat food which I did and I asked her if it was ok if I had chicken that day she insisted that had ordered low fat mean and that’s what she has to serve me and I had to tell her again I needed chicken, she started arguing with me over snacks she got offended and she just threw food in my hand almost dropped to the floor , I think that was not professional at all. And today again coming to Nairobi the female crew came over serving snacks again and requested if I could have some wet wipes my hands were dirty dirty because had seen a crew handing out with to the people in the front raw but she answered me it was in the bank and she kept on and I again asked the male crew and he explained to me that they mostly don’t give wet wipes for short flights but I had wet wipes when I flew to Nairobi from Amsterdam and I had too when I left Nairobi to Uganda , what’s the point of serving foods when passengers gotta eat with dirty hands , and today again-the same female crew skipped the first raw of two males with snacks who were seated in front of us and even if they told her they missed the snacks, she stood there and called the male crew just unprofessionally to bring the snacks for the gentleman and she just never cared . I think they should do better thanks ."

They said we needed to talk to only the Kenya Airways representatives in Addis where we left from. We did... and they didn't say anything. After that they refused to help us in Nairobi. There were all these secret ways of getting help that they said we didn't qualify for. Supervisors and managers were not available unless I left their desk and went to departures. They said I would have to go back through immigration.. but thankfully, right before I did, someone came and spoke to me. From our several interactions, we received no apologies, but felt that the theme was that everything was my fault.. not the best feeling as a customer. Only my one chat with the supervisor was very nice. She was very patient, sat down with me and helped direct my concerns. Especially with a 13 hour delay. Nairobi seemed great, but our interactions with the staff really took away from our experience. And we missed our vacation in the end.."

We got to the service desk to get our boarding passes and there was only one person to service a multitude of people. Of course they knew that a flight was coming in, why there was only one personnel is still a mystery to me. The person who served us, Victor K., was probably the least helpful customer service personnel I've come across. He was very slow, considering that he knows there's a lot of us trying to get to our next flight. We ended up missing our connecting flight. And for some reason, the plane left earlier than the time it was supposed to leave. Another mystery to me. Shouldn't their system have told them that there were a few passengers on the previous flight that was supposed to board this connecting flight?! They did give us a free hotel for the night, or so they call a hotel. The food served was just horrendous. They just served whatever is enough to be considered "food". I will never fly with Kenya airways ever again. They are so unreliable, irresponsible, and have very little regard to customer service."

I'll definitely fly with Kenya Airways again."
Points négatifs : "IN Bangkok while waiting to board the flight, the gate attendants stopped making announcements and just held up cards. I was trying to follow instructions and not crowd the gate and missed my time to board. It's totally a minor thing but at the end of the trip at 1am it was just frustrating."
