Points positifs : "The crew was fine. The seats in the A330 are the worst only to be made worse by NO legroom. Very uncomfortable airplane. The flight crew also closes the rear bathroom off during most of the flight, I am assuming so they can use...."

Yet the meal that was served, beef stew, posed a problem as I don't eat red meet. Since many people also do not eat beef due to religious beliefs, I am appalled by SAS's decision to only serve this dish to its economy class passengers. As I ordered my ticket through Kayak, I didn't have the option to request a special diet, nor did I think to do so as airlines generally do not serve serve a beef dish as their one and only."

Instead we were assigned to two more flights, one to Brussels, and another from Brussels to Rome. We arrived in Rome around 17:00 rather than 10:35 as scheduled, losing a full day of sight-seeing."

I said that would not work. They then scheduled me on Lufthansa, but due to delays in Frankfurt due to weather we missed out connection to ORD. 4+ hours after standing in endless lines Lufthansa resheduled us the next day. But, it took nearly two days to get home."

What they sold as food on the airplane was pathetic. And the prices for the awful food at the airport in Reykjavik were outrageous and they were not even posted, so until you went to pay you didn't know that those two pieces of stale bread with a thin slice of ham cost more than $12. Things like these leave one with a very bad aftertaste. Not worth it."

Most planes can't come to a gate, and there were nowhere near enough busses shuttling passengers to the planes. As a result, it took 90 minutes to board the plane, and an additional 70 minutes after boarding to get a runway to take off. We made up some time in the air so we were only an hour late, but it seemed avoidable if the airport would be more realistic about its capacity."

They put us on a flight to Birmingham England and from there to Paris. The airline lost both of my suitcases and could only find one of them. My son had to buy new clothes to wear etc. I will never fly this airline again."

If the original flight didn't have a delay of 1.5 hours things would have been smooth. Every flight from Icelandair was late and they don't give you an update as to why. Nothing is free, not water (1.5 euro) or any other beverages or anything else. We paid double what the flight should cost to not even be offered water. The seats were lightly padded to maximize seats. There was a small amount of leg room but some. No power outlets, wifi or media. The worst aspect is I bought a flight on Baltic Air from Tallinn to Riga and had the price from Riga to Paris on the next tab on kayak. I bought the ticket from Tallin to Riga then flipped to buy Riga to Paris only to learn it was a bait price. The price was actually $200 more. Baltic would not refund the first flight (within minutes) so we were stuck to either walk away from our 2 tickets to Riga or pay the bait and switch rate. We begrudgingly paid 400 (200 each) euro MORE than the initial price shown so we could fly out of Riga back to Paris (to be back in Paris by Jan 7). A non alcoholic beverage, a small snack, and power access would be helpful. Ground crew helping with order would be helpful. I was shoved and run over trying to get onto and off the plane. It is the wild west of flying except the plane is new...oh, and it is 30 euro if you do not check in online ahead. But you will still need to stand in line to check a bag (where they can issue you a boarding pass)."

We explained at the checkpoint that we had a few minutes, but they controlled us several times until we had to throw several liquid items. In St. Petersburg they had already controlled us, without problems. In short: a sad experience in Riga, which does not speak well of this country: Latvia."

Furthermore, we got to the Air Baltic counter, we were given 5Euro meal vouchers even though we will be staying at the Riga airport for 9 hours. Also they gave us terrible customer service attitude, which we definitely do not deserve after being delayed, and causing so much trouble on their behalf. Definitely do not recommend flying with Air Baltic again. I've never been this angry with any air line."

So we came “prepared” for our overnight long haul flight, but it turned out the cabin was fairly warm and the young flight crew from Norway, US, France and Spain were even warmer. They were all merry, super responsive, and went out of their way to offer assistance. Although we hadn’t pre-ordered food, they gave a sandwich to my ten-year-old, and then when they had a few left over, they gave them to us (the parents) and others. They are either a new crop or they’ve gotten re-training since previous poor reviews. Also turned out layered clothing was enough and we wasted carry-on space bringing small blankets, not that they cared very much that we brought a regulation size carry-on plus a slightly-too-large personal item each (never measured), PLUS a paper grocery bag half-filled with snacks. So we went over our limit but there were no issues, and the overhead bins in the Dreamliner were NOT full. Maybe on other planes, or if you’re among the last to board, it might be different. Also, on-board blankets were only $5 to purchase (not “expensive” as we’d previously read.). Seats were certainly tight, but all coach seating is these days, and overall... a great flight experience. ALSO... they have a handicap accessible bathroom on board, and provide crew to push the aisle chair as needed. Awesome."

The airline would not allow me to carry it on (only recourse was to purchase a second seat for it). I was forced to pay a baggage fee (around $70 u.s.dollars). For what? To pray it doesn't come back to me damaged? To their credit, it did not..."

We were then required to check our bags, but not until after we were told to combine our personal item with our large carry on bag & then told that it was too big. instead of crediting us the amount we'd already paid (€20), we were charged the full checked bag fee of €55. The gate agent was also very rude and not proficient at her job, causing us to delay the plane's departure. Exceptional customer service may have included refunding us the large carry on bag fee. Additionally, our 2hr flight cost us almost $200 each, not what I would call a budget airline price. We will not be flying Wizz air again & do not recommend this airline."
