Points positifs : "Just like on previous domestic flight experience, I love how Thai Airways is able to promote and provide for customer comfort and service on such short flights - something that US airlines are so incapable of providing. Not only was the plane comfortable and spacious, the fact that they also served a meal on such a short flight is so much appreciated."

The seats were hard plastic, 21st century headphones didn't properly work because their inputs required two jacks instead of the now standard one, half of the seat belt had what can only be described as a fun noodle attached around it, and instead of the seat back reclining the actual seat just slid outwards, making you slouch instead of recline. While the staff was lovely, I honestly can't believe airplanes like this are still in commission. All it was missing was an ash tray in the arm rest."

They served me pork, whereas I eat a Hindu meal (No Beef and No Pork) They served the end part so late that by the time I could eat they were already descending, and they rushed me to eat. I couldn't eat it anyways except the fruits. No juice or water either was served."

Points positifs : "This was a codeshare flight operated by China Airlines. I sat in 69A and had plenty of leg room. The entertainment options were excellent to include the flight map. The map is probably the best one I have come across. The cabin crew provided excellent service and were attentive."
Points négatifs : "The boarding procedure was confusing. Economy was divided between Zones 1 and 2. However, the boarding pass was not clear which zone it was assigned."

Air doesn't run on the plane until your 10k up. HOWEVER, we got there safely and my bag showed up so all in all its fine."

They never explained what the issue was - it was a bit unsettling. Like, was it a meintamice issue? Should we be worried for our safety? Or was the aircraft simply late/delayed? Upon taxiing and take off the pilot finally said they were delayed from a previous flight and the plane needed to be “checked.” Would’ve like to know that an hour earlier when we first got kicked off the bus."

Hence, my flight to HKG and the return to LAX were empty flights, which is such a loss for an already dying airline. The crew were still polite and hardworking unlike US airlines."

Everything is dated, there is not much left of seat upholstering after 20 years without any updates and the headrest sits at a hight where my shoulder is - with no chance of adjusting it. I left the 5 hour flight with backpain and the resolution to NEVER AGAIN fly with Hong Kong Airlines."

It took more than an hour and 15 minutes just to get the beverage service. Probably not a long time if one is not traveling with a thirsty 6 year old. Boarding in BKK was agonizingly slow. Deplaning in Hong Kong took way to long. Will pay more to take Cathay, BKK or Singapore next time."

Points positifs : "I have flown several millions of miles on Star Alliance and with the top airlines, e.g., Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways as well as Cathay Pacific. Thus, I have my share of travel experiences: from poor to superb. This is my Hong Kong Airlines experience. Courteous and friendly crew. Nice but light snacks on late evening flight. Lunch was delicious and on the lighter side. Also, provided priority card in and out of the airport screening. Overall, excellent experience. Can compete with the top carriers in the world from my experience on a roundtrip travel to and from Hong Kong."

Points négatifs : "HK Airlines refused to allow us to use the outbound until we appealed to a manager. The reason for our no show was the fault of Etihad. They did not notify HK evidently. Get it right people!"
