I was able to board and travel but I had to sneak out of the actual line and show my visa appointment receipt to a latam staff person. It was very hard to talk to the staff most of them were just screaming "go to the line" and were not really keen to listening to what passengers had to say. I found a latam person that wasn't really dealing with this situation and managed to get him to talk to other latam staff about my visa appointment. It was pretty stressful for me to have to deal with the possibility of missing such an important event without a good reason."

Had to wait for it the next day for three hours. Up to this hour I don’t know how I am going to be reimbursed (train and plane)."

The very first Alitalia person I tried to speak to was the very worst. Though her job was to check people in, she said she couldn't help me and to go to another counter. When I asked if she could please at least make a call to get a wheelchair (my grandfather was at the airport entry and couldn't walk) she made a terrible face, threw the papers on her desk around and said I had to go to another counter. When I went to the counter she pointed at, I was told again I would have to go to another counter. No offense to dog owners, but the animals that were traveling received better assistance."

Points négatifs : "In this 10 hr flight cabin crew came down the aisle only twice to offer refreshments. There should have been offers of at the least water or juice more than twice on this length of fight. I was disappointed that there were no hot drink e.g. coffee or tea offered at any time, not even with the meal, but this was certainly the least of our disappointments. Only once on this flight did I see a cabin crew member smile. Don't know why, but they were a most unhappy crew that day and this was conveyed to the passengers. I find this hard to believe, and perhaps both my husband and I fell asleep for the few minutes this would have taken, but neither one of us saw a crew member check for seatbelts and seat position before landing in TO. Boarding gate wasn't announced until an hour before boarding, which on an international flight from a large airport was a little stressful, but I am assuming there was a good reason for this."

Points négatifs : "Really bad boarding controll, contributing to grumpy patrons. Just poor management and efficiency created by the airlines with a last minute gate change, but in addition, the personnel were irratable and not well motivated or trained to manage the crowd."

The screen has terrible quality, and honestly makes the flight excruciatingly boring if you don’t have other sources of entertainment."

On our flight back, the food was absolutely terrible, the movie selections were old and scarce, and the seats were uncomfortable. We called to complain as soon as we got home and still have not heard back from Alitalia. I will never fly with them again."

Points négatifs : "They changed my lay over from 1.5 hours to 5.5 hours. On the way over they changed flight 7 hours I wouldn't have gotten to my hotel until a day later. I had to rebook with another airline. Still not sure they will return fare. Used Webjet will never use again!!"

Points négatifs : "The flight attendant at the check in said our luggage was too big and needed to be checked. We got a ticket from her but when we got to the plane nobody said anything and we simply did what we had done all the previous flights we have ever taken, we stowed them in the overhead bins. The flight wasn't full and in fact some overhead bins were completely empty, but I guess she had her job to do and thought it wouldn't fit, but maybe she could have asked if we had used it before. I don't know why they say it's too big when we had been traveling throughout Europe for almost a month and had taken it on 4-5 flights and many other trips. It all worked out. Footnote Air France never made a issue of the exact same baggage that Alitalia said was to big. The bags fit fine on all airlines we have traveled. The flight was delayed 45 minutes which made my connection a bit tight. I was connecting to Air France which is part of The SkyTeam alliance comprises with Alitalia but my luggage could not be moved to the Flight to LAX so I had to get the bag I did check and go through the process all over again."

Points négatifs : "Oldest plane I've seen in recent years, crew barely acknowledged our presence (talked to each other the whole time), no working air conditioning, and big metal boxes in front of the window seats that take up all of the leg room (yes these seats aren't cheaper."
