Points négatifs : Weather delayed the flight by around 4 hours. Crew at the airport were clearly stressed and took it out on stressed passengers. You had to ask for everything rather than the crew proactively doing things to make people comfortable (regular updates, food vouchers, going around making sure people are comfortable). Captain on plane was good. Crew on plane was ok, more socializaing with each other rather than being proactively helpful.

Points négatifs : At baggage drop-DCA: Charged me for a bag when I had a status that allows 1 bag free; she would not listen, made me pay for it in order to check my bag and then told me to go over to customer service and ask for a refund.

The gate agents then allowed those who checked their rollaboards to board before Zone 1,which was fine. However, a bunch of people without gate check stickers on the rollaboards were also allowed to board before Zone 1, which was aggravating. There was a long delay on the tarmac, during which we had to pull back to the gate or to a maintenance area before we finally took off. When we arrived in Vegas there was no gate for us to pull into, which led to another long delay of an already long and delayed flight.

Flight from Sydney to LAX was delayed by 4 hours, then missed flight LAX to LAS... overall long delayed arrival. Checked the route through Brisbane, and those flights we're all there, departed and landed all on-time... so wondering what the reason was for the change of the itinerary without a cause (no cancel or delayed flights through Brisbane)

Spent 24 additional hours at the airport to catch the next available direct flight. Had an aisle seat but then put between two men who took both armrests for 15 hours.

Apparently its an intentional policy of United to only have food available for a portion of the passengers. They told me that transportation to that airport would not be reimbursed and would cost between 20 and 40 dollars. I didn't know the airports were that far apart and the one-hour taxi drive cost me 80 dollars. From Sao Paulo to Washington, things went as well as expected. Once landed everything was horrible.

For some reason, the aisle seat has the smallest space I have ever seen in my life (about the size of a shoe box). It was the first flight I have ever been on where I was literally not able to fit a small backpack underneath my seat.

Points négatifs : Boarding process - seat upgrades should come with boarding zone upgrades. Paying extra for a seat and then boarding in last zone makes no sense to me.

Points négatifs : Biggest issue the start very lax re security, 2 people never wore their seatbelts at any time, take off and landing. They hardly checked anything.

Points positifs : The flight itself was as good as expected: Attentive crew and competent pilot, good enough food, comfortable enough (for coach) seats, and clean airplane. The seats could be made to recline a bit more but nobody seems to be doing it for coach class.

Points négatifs : The flight was delayed 30 minutes causing me to lose the connecting flight home by about 5 minutes There was no effort from United to help me to get the second flight on time or from the crew on that one to delay it enough for me to arrive. They suggested I waited 9 hours for the next available flight or to get one by AA in Reagan Airport in 3 hours. They told me that transportation to that airport would not be reimbursed and would cost between 20 and 40 dollars. I didn't know the airports were that far apart and the one-hour taxi drive cost me 80 dollars. From Sao Paulo to Washington, things went as well as expected. Once landed everything was horrible.

Points négatifs : Original flight through Houston was delayed and rerouted through SFO. Then the connecting SFO flight was delayed and missed original flight. Spent 24 additional hours at the airport to catch the next available direct flight. Had an aisle seat but then put between two men who took both armrests for 15 hours.
