Points négatifs : "Had a layover in Toronto. From Toronto we flew to Istanbul and then Venice. While waiting in line to board in Toronto, I was told my carry-on luggage was too big and needed to be put under. I asked MULTIPLE times where my luggage would be- either Istanbul or Venice (final destination) and EVERY time I asked, I was told my luggage would be waiting for me in Venice. Once we arrived in Istanbul I asked AGAIN if my carry-on luggage was here or if it would be in Venice and I was told it would be in Venice. Once we arrived in Venice, my luggage was nowhere to be found. The lost luggage crew (and 90% of the people in Venice) were completely rude and acted like we were a huge inconvenience for them. (I've heard that many Europeans cannot stand Americans, but we were not being rude or obnoxious at all to anyone- we just wanted a quiet, romantic vacation.) So safe to say that it was an extremely rough start. We were in Venice for the Glass Art Society Conference in Murano and due to my luggage being lost, had missed the first day and a half, therefore wasting hundreds of dollars. Luckily my boyfriend's phone worked in order to spend our first two days of vacation (not to mention the amount of money spent on international calling costs) tracking down my luggage, but again dealt with completely rude people who barely helped us with any answers and even hung up on us multiple times (and I'd like to add that despite my frustration, I made sure that I was not speaking rudely one bit). The best answers we received were from the people at the Istanbul airport who told us that Venice received my luggage hours before I even called Istanbul- which I do not understand why the Venice airport did not tell me this because I spent all day speaking with them. Once I called back the Venice airport to confirm what the Istanbul airport told us, they said (once again rudely) that they called me on my phone but did not answer (which I already told them that my phone did not have any service and to call my boyfriend's phone number). So to sum up: I will never be flying to Venice ever again."

We had to stand in a security line for two hours thinking that we had as a consequence missed our connecting flight. Again, no communication. We found out when we finally got through security (we had already gone through security at the Paris airport), everyone was in the same situation and our flight had been delayed. It would have been helpful to know that as we were standing in line. While in the line, many people panicked and starting pushing their way to the front of the line. Again, no officials were there to keep order. It was truly a mess! And creating too much anxiety and stress that I really wanted to not have on my trip back to the USA. I realize that in these times, we must go through added security, but I am accustomed to US airports where there is more communication over the intercom and by airport officials. In Istanbul, it seemed that everyone did not want to give directions, and airport officials seemed to avoid the public they were there to serve."

As I was busy with some construction work at home I thought I would check in at the airport. Opodo advisors were not helpful on the phone and I ended up missing a family get together due to their incompatibility."

The communication between staff and between your staff and passengers was poor."

People we wearing their jackets and when I mentioned it to the cabin crew member she said a few other people would have to make a similar comment before she could request turning the temperature up. There was also a glitch in the system so that the reading lights for each seat could only be operated by the seat directly in front. The food was very uninspiring and poorly presented. The tea and coffee were awful!!!!!! The choice of movies,etc was very limited. Thank goodness it was a night flight and not too long!"

This is a strong statement in non discrimination on Account of age in employment. To see a red Indian lady among them was very refreshing."

Points négatifs : "My issues are two part: 1 - I wasn't informed that I was required to retrieve my luggage from the carousel on this flight from George Town to Toronto. I thought perhaps I missed something, however, the three other couples that were in the same predicament I was weren't aware either. This caused a massive headache, the instructions were superbly poor on how to retrieve the luggage, and the process was completely a waste of time. We had to talk with three different people, the person that took us back to the carousel showed no urgency despite us all explaining that we were on a short layover, and might miss our next flight, and even though we had our passes to get through customs, we were made to wait in line to have our baggage inspected. A completely broken process that could've been avoided with a friendly reminder at check-in. 2 - Once I was able to retrieve my luggage I picked it up off the carousel only to find the handle on one piece of luggage had been ripped off, and the plastic lining on the other bag was destroyed. Admittedly I find this to be no surprise after seeing how mine and everyone else's luggage was handled so poorly upon being loaded into the cargo. I saw my luggage being tossed 3-5 feet into the cargo area - literally picked up, and with complete disregard flung like it was a trash bag being thrown into the dumpster. Since I didn't have time to discuss this with any staff due to my prior issue and being unable to find a representative once I landed back in Vancouver, I called the next day to discuss this over the phone, but the representative explained that I was only able to make a complaint in-person at the time of baggage retrieval. The person was absolutely useless and unwilling to help. This was by far the worst treatment I've had at any time in my life while flying any airline. The trip to George Town was with American Airlines, and even though it was longer, and a tad bit more expensive, the service I had with them was stellar by comparison to my experience with AirCanada. Going forward I will only be using AC when there are absolutely no other options."

I explained I lived there permanently ; I was then asked why French hate English so much!!! To which I explained only narrow minded people would believe so and that the style of her comment were not appropriate . I explained my children were half French half British and that her comment was offensive ."
