The food was good. I have Celiac Disease and they accommodated my gluten free necessities with GF bread!! Wow.

The entertainment for an international flight (9 hours) was horrendous. The tiny TVs were actually fuzzy and it is set up so that you cannot actually choose your movie. It is like watching TV where you may tune in to a movie 20 minutes into it playing instead of starting whatever movie you want from the beginning. To make matters worse, there was no plug-in in case you wanted to watch entertainment of your own on phone/iPad.

The crew did a great job.

The boarding process was nutz. We had to take a bus away from the terminal to board the plane. The flight was delayed. I was not very happy to have to spend $92 to check 2 bags.

Trip on the Dreamliner to/from Nairobi/Joburg went very smoothly. Entertainment was limited but worked and was fine for a 4 hour trip. Food was nothing great but nothing disastrous, booze was handed out willingly, staff were efficient, plane was on time - I rate it higher than SAA for the same leg and would choose KA again.

Expensive at $800 but limited choice in Africa so what can you do?

The plane was pretty comfortable, they gave us blankets and pillows even though it was only a 4-hour flight.

They served "breakfast" halfway through which was two tiny servings of meat and a piece of chocolate cake. Not much food and not really what I wanted to eat in the middle of the night! Boarding was completely chaotic, some screens said the flight was delayed, others said it was on time (it was delayed). When we arrived in Nairobi they hardly apologized for the delay, and also insisted on sending a bus to come pick us up from the plane because it was raining, which took forever. Missed my connection by about 5 minutes and had to wait almost 10 hours for the next one.

My first flight was not confirmed (despite the confirmed booking/itinerary email), so I was unable to check in and proceed with any of my flights. This delayed all my plans by at least 1 day and I have incurred unplanned additional costs.

The food, yogurt and a cheese sandwich was frozen. There were no female flight attendant. the attendant didn't speak very good English, French or Portuguese. The boarding process was not well organized. Some of the people seemed to not know how to act on a plane picking whatever seat they wanted and then arguing with the people that actually had the seats as well as getting up while the plane was still taxing.

The 70 euro luggage fee was a bit excessive. The delay and subsequent missing of my connecting flight that resulted in a 11 hour layover and a 10 euro voucher was pretty lame. TAP Portugal customer service leaves a bit to be desired

Once I got on the flight things were fine, but the process of getting there was a nightmare.

My Air India and Kenya Airways flights were packaged together as though they were a code share, but when my initial let on Air India from Delhi to Mumbai was delayed I missed my connection to Nairobi. What followed was a bizarre five-hour scramble in the Mumbai airport that ranks in the top three worst flight experiences I’ve ever had. I had already checked in and had a emailed boarding pass, but wasn’t let through security without the official airline printout. Although the Kenya Airways Nairobi flight was also delayed and was still several hours from boarding, their staff was nowhere to be found and none of their 10+ customer service numbers was working. I finally managed to get a hold of a representative over the phone via the airport’s information counter, and she swore that a staff member was on the way to meet me. Two hours and several calls and assurances later, the flight took off without me and the Kenya Airways staff stopped picking up the phone. Then there was a crazy several hours of back and forth as a single employee emerged and demanded that I get a letter from Air India taking responsibility for the initial delay, before disappearing again for several hours. The disorganization, unprofessionalism and outright lies I encountered were frankly bizarre and unlike anything I’ve encountered while flying before.

Once on the flight the flight crew were caring and accomodating.

Kenya changed my flight to two hours later 18 hours before I was to leave. Making me have a 10 minute connection. Then after an hour in a airline office they promised to hold my connection. When my flight landed on time, they did not hold my connection. So they changed my flight and didn’t follow through on the fix. We would now miss wedding activities and business meetings. Then my partner got sick and they refused to taxi us to hotel for the night but take a bus that leaves every three hours. Her sickness got worse and there was a Kenyan airlines doctor who evaluated her at the airport after waiting 40 minutes laying at check in with her crying due to pain. We had a medical release from the doctor saying she needed extra space to lay down but the check in manager refused to make room for her saying the flight is full and she would not upgrade her to accommodate the medical release because we had an economy ticket. My partner looked so bad that the flight crew considered kicking us off but eventually made the space for her to lay down and were helpful on the flight. This is this disgraceful and the worst experience I’ve had with any company.

Oman airlines refused to board in zurich without any intimation neither from airlines nor from agency I am an heart patient and got mild stroke when I heard this and I paid 550 Swiss Frances to take the same flight on same time I need to peruse this case on top priority and reimburse the payment. Awaiting for your urgent reply. I want to know what could be the reason before I need to take further action.

My partner looked so bad that the flight crew considered kicking us off but eventually made the space for her to lay down and were helpful on the flight. They wheelchaired my companion to the airport after delayed medical examination to make the flight.

Kenya changed my flight to two hours later 18 hours before I was to leave. Making me have a 10 minute connection. Then after an hour in a airline office they promised to hold my connection. When my flight landed on time, they did not hold my connection. So they changed my flight and didn’t follow through on the fix. We would now miss wedding activities and business meetings. Then my partner got sick and they refused to taxi us to hotel for the night but take a bus that leaves every three hours. Her sickness got worse and there was a Kenyan airlines doctor who evaluated her at the airport after waiting 40 minutes laying at check in with her crying due to pain. We had a medical release from the doctor saying she needed extra space to lay down but the check in manager refused to make room for her saying the flight is full and she would not upgrade her to accommodate the medical release because we had an economy ticket. This company obviously trains its employees to belittle and disregard customers. I have never dealt with a company so at fault for an issue and so utterly unwilling to make up for it. First, they cancel the first of our 3 flights to Delhi 18 hrs before it is to leave. The flight they replaced it with would leave us 10 min to make the connection. So we went to the counter and they told us they'd hold the plane, as did the stewardess on the flight. They lied. The plane left 10 min before we landed. We were stranded. Also, I got food poisoning from their food. They did nothing to help. They would not pay for the hotel we wanted, when we asked they rudely served everyone else they stranded first. The employee would not call his supervisor or give his name. The next morning i saw a doctor but the stomache infection was so bad i couldn't sit up or walk. The doctor wrote this on my clearance to fly document. I needed to get to India to get better medical help. We presented this to the kenya airlines agent and she would do nothing to help. She had business class reclining seats available but would not upgrade me. Even after everything this shitty airline has caused. Unbelievable. Every step along the way of this nightmare could have been made better, so much better, by some human decency but instead we got rude disregard.

the flight was fine.

The 70 euro luggage fee was a bit excessive. The delay and subsequent missing of my connecting flight that resulted in a 11 hour layover and a 10 euro voucher was pretty lame. TAP Portugal customer service leaves a bit to be desired

The food was good. I have Celiac Disease and they accommodated my gluten free necessities with GF bread!! Wow.

The entertainment for an international flight (9 hours) was horrendous. The tiny TVs were actually fuzzy and it is set up so that you cannot actually choose your movie. It is like watching TV where you may tune in to a movie 20 minutes into it playing instead of starting whatever movie you want from the beginning. To make matters worse, there was no plug-in in case you wanted to watch entertainment of your own on phone/iPad.

The flight was good, we left almost on time because of some ice on the deck, everything went smoothly. The fact that you could leave the airport when your correspondance is longer than 8h is very nice. Give you some nice hotel’s room to rest and shower. A+ on this

Broken, dirty toilet on board. No control of how much hand luggage bought on board. Broken seats. Dirty.

They had a good selection of movies.

The seats were so tightly packed that it was impossible to sit straight. It was like being in some medieval torture device. I was in constant physical discomfort, verging on outright pain, for 9 hours. It was HORRIBLE. Also, the "dinner" served in-flight was unfit for a dog.
