Literally nothing

The seat was uncomfortable, the service was slow, both my flights (Newark to Reykjavik and Reykjavik to Heathrow) were delayed and the flight staff was incredibly poor about providing us updates not to mention any accuracy with the timing. Overall, my experience with Icelandic Air was so bad I will never fly with them again.

The flight crew was kind.

Good evening, I’m not sure under which category our complaints should fall on your website so I will include them here. To summarize our complaint, we booked our tickets on Icelandair through Kayak (and Webjet) and upon arriving at the check-in counter on December 2, we were informed that the baggage fee for our flight would be $95 each! Understandably, we were shocked and very displeased. Nowhere in our confirmation emails or flight details was there anything about having to pay such a high rate for our luggage. The first employee we spoke to said that your airline has recently started charging such fees to compete with WOW Air and as I said to him, I would like to point out again that this is the very reason why I never choose to fly with WOW Air: they clearly state that there is a high baggage fee from the beginning of the registration process and I know of too many other airlines who don’t have such inflated fees. This ticketing agent and the manager said that the level of our ticket (apparently called Economy Light) indicated that we would be charged this baggage rate. It is now my understanding that on the Icelandair’s website, these levels are described but no such options were listed or explained on the Kayak website or any of our confirmation materials/emails. It is the responsibility of your site to post these important details in a conspicuous place so that travelers can make informed decisions. We could’ve flown with Air Portugal for a mere $50 more and saved not only over $200 each but also the inconvenience and frustration. Upon the check-in manager’s suggestion, I looked up our flight by the booking reservation number (LCWNEG) and again, the only “flight type” shown was called Economy, nothing more. The same is true for when we checked in online and reserved our seats - there was never an indication of the fees that were awaiting us. All this to say, we were incredibly upset to be surprised with an additional cost of $200/person (round trip ticket) but then, to add insult to injury, not only did we nearly miss our flight due to the length of time spent at the check-in desk, once we got on the plane and we realized we would not be served anything other than water or soda - since all food/meals must also be paid for in most Economy levels. This was our first experience with your airline/website and I highly doubt we will ever choose you in the future. I know now for a fact that other passengers who have booked through 3rd party sites have found themselves in similar bad situations. If you choose to work with airlines and offer lower rates, it is only honest and fair to make your policies clearly known to your potential customers. We felt mislead and deceived as these rates seemed hidden until it as too late. Seats too crowded for 8 hour flight. As soon as the person in front leans back you have no room it is unbelievably uncomfortable to have a seat back in your face for that long!

Check-in was good, no queues. I arrived about four hours before scheduled departure time and check-in had been open already for an hour. In Mexico City Airport I had missed a flight three days earlier as I'd been observing the departure screens and they'd failed to update the status of my aircraft: this time I was informed of the gate at check-in. Flight was on time and didn't do anything scary. I was lucky as my neighbour found another free seat so left me with more room.

I've found Iberia to be uncaring. This flight was much the same. The food and drink service was cheap, and I felt the attendants didn't feel like they had to try to give good service. The new entertainment screens kept coming on, and I kept turning them off as I wished to sleep. Eventually I discovered they were being triggered by the electrostatic charge on the pillows that I was rearranging.

British Airways lost out luggage as well as everyone in my party. All 10 pieces never made it on the connecting flight . To make matters worse the line to fill out lost luggage forms was over a 2 hour wait. The people working there were rude and not helpful. No answers after calling from my hotel in Spain. Again rude and not helpful .

The airline overbooked the flight and kicked us, along with 100 other passengers, off the flight and forced us onto a non-direct flight. They violated Passenger Rights, and every member of their staff treated us incredibly rudely. Due to their violations and illegal behavior, I am seeking legal counsel and plan to take the necessary action. I DO NOT recommend British Airways and will NEVER fly the airline again.

Crew was professional and attentive and the dinner options were to my liking.

The seat (15E) was extremely small for a flight of this duration. I was given an exit row seat, which was nice in terms of legroom but it is not really ideal to have to stow all belongings in the overhead for a flight this long - with no place close by to store essentials, like a water bottle.

1. Plane engine set fire while taking off... leaking fuel. 2. My bag fee was waived, but the next day after being grounded and put in a cheap hotel for the night, I was RECHARGED $100. 3. They knew my flight left at 9pm, still gave me ONLY 1 hotel voucher so I was kicked out of the hotel at 12pm with NOWHERE to go for NINE HOURS with 125lbs of luggage. 4. They provided a good voucher, but the cheap hotel they put me in didn't have a kitchen, USELESS. 5. The flight was LATE getting to London the next day and I missed my BRITISH Airway connecting flight to Thailand. Had to wait another 7 HOURS to get a flight out. 6. Terrible service, over priced and rude agents. The agent told me " I don't know who waived your fee yesterday, but I'm not." Cold, considering the plane I was on the day before was shooting fire about to explode. 7. I was rebooked no choice of seating or consideration.

It was a pleasant enough trip. Friendly crew, surprisingly decent food for a flight, and some decent entertainment available, though admittedly my headphones broke within a couple of hours for some reason, but by then I was nearly asleep anyway.

It wasn't very comfortable and I had basically no leg room, but then, I sat in economy, so I can't be too surprised by that. Otherwise it was a good flight.

Most Improved Player - Finnair has done the best experience in overall long haul flights out of the 40plus airlines I have flown in the last 3 years; brand new planes, nice and diverse cabin crew, beautiful lightings videos details chocolates etc, best entertainment system in the industry, and things always go smooth in Helsinki airport. Awesome imrpovement over recent years.

Big struggle for airlines still remains varying quality customer service. Finnair still seems to struggle with this occasionally. Finnair can work harder to keep customer service quality high. Hate to say it, but perhaps letting the bitter, last generation flight attendants who seem to have a grudge about the decline of the glamour and benefits of the job as flying has become commonplace with more competition (seen this on Finnair & N America’s older airlines line United)

Nice seats! Flight tracker. Our flight in the way home was cancelled due to bad weather and although we had to queue for some time all the information we needed about what to do about food, hotels, travel, etc was given to us along with a new flight the next day with seats together. First time I've had a flight cancelled and was impressed with the service I received (now got to try and claim our expenses back so fingers crossed that goes ok).

I feel like the overall product is so devalued at BA these days. It just doesn't feel classy anymore. As opposed to Lufthansa, which is an example of a European carrier that cares about passenger comfort and experience. Also the typical circling of LHR to get a slot is annoying and makes me want to avoid BA.

Crew, entertainment and food service was excellent

Seats too crowded for 8 hour flight. As soon as the person in front leans back you have no room it is unbelievably uncomfortable to have a seat back in your face for that long!

Crew didn't reach middle of plane with Food & Beverage. Lots of fussy/serving of premium passengers but economy not really looked after. Was bashed into 3 times by same member of crew walking up aisle and not once apologised.

8 hour delay on top of a 4 hour layover with only a small sandwich and small water to compensate. You had to pay for food and water on the second leg of the flight which was on vueling. When we finally got to barcelona we picked up a mangled stroller that had been like new before the flight. We complained and we were told we would receive a call from the airline. Still waiting for the call. Lost our evening in barcelona and our paid tickets to casa mila.

It does the job of taking you on time to the place you are flying to. I had forgotten that you have to purchase food but I find that much better: a lot less waste that on airlines where it is provided.

I didn't like anything...not enough connecting time , the flights are consistently late making for 20 minute connections with passport control...with my 91 yr old mother running the airport...i will NEVER take this carrier again!!!

It was a pleasant enough trip. Friendly crew, surprisingly decent food for a flight, and some decent entertainment available, though admittedly my headphones broke within a couple of hours for some reason, but by then I was nearly asleep anyway.

It wasn't very comfortable and I had basically no leg room, but then, I sat in economy, so I can't be too surprised by that. Otherwise it was a good flight.

Nice seats! Flight tracker. Our flight in the way home was cancelled due to bad weather and although we had to queue for some time all the information we needed about what to do about food, hotels, travel, etc was given to us along with a new flight the next day with seats together. First time I've had a flight cancelled and was impressed with the service I received (now got to try and claim our expenses back so fingers crossed that goes ok).

The curtain that cuts off premium economy getting swooshed across in front of us.

British Airways lost out luggage as well as everyone in my party. All 10 pieces never made it on the connecting flight . To make matters worse the line to fill out lost luggage forms was over a 2 hour wait. The people working there were rude and not helpful. No answers after calling from my hotel in Spain. Again rude and not helpful .
