Points négatifs : Boarding failed, everyone had to wait in a bus for 20min with -8 below zero temperature outside. The bus was standing with the doors open, the boarding crew did not provide any reason of that, the flight was late.

Points négatifs : The screen/entertainment is totally not working, and it’s not only my seat, it’s more than 4 seats not working just around my area and the crew cannot fix it. So we spent 12-13 hours without anything to watch or listen. The crew told us such Boeing 787 international flights in Hainan airline was used to run China domestic lines and the entertainment system was ruined by Chinese older passengers who do not know how to use it, but this sounds like a really stupid excuse for what happened, because there is no visible damage to any hardware of the entertainment system. I’m not suggesting taking Hainan airline until they fix this issue. By the way, on my return flight, my entertainment system works fine, but there is one person who sit in the front row had bad luck. Again, this is not occasional insident, it’s happening widely in this route.

Points négatifs : Hectic boarding process that required taking a bus and everyone pushing and shoving to board the plane in no particular order. Stayed on the tarmac for 2 hours before taking off and did not recieve frequent updates. When the seat in front of you is fully reclined you have essentially zero space.
Points négatifs : Delayed departure. They were slow to board flight.departed almost an hour late. There didn’t seem to be a reason for delay other than poor organization and management.

Points négatifs : Original flight cancelled so rebooked ojba floght five hours later - then with one hour to go until that second flight, that was cancelled as well. Totally unhelpful ground staff, who were oblivious to the fact that I had a work commitment the next day so couldn’t overnight in some random hotel at an airport to suit Austrian’s policies. Eventually routed via Lisbon which meant literally flying all night to arrive at 0600. Lufthansa and Austrian have some serious faults to correct.

Points positifs : From start to finish, Sevdije was in great hands. She had to be in a wheelchair, and there were three connecting flights in countries where she doesn't speak the language. It could have been so complicated, and everyone made it SO EASY. She was all smiles when she arrived in Boston. THANK YOU!!!!!!

Points négatifs : Ground crew was very poor at communication, no one warned us we would need a visa; we spent hours and hours queuing for what could have been sorted out in advance. Communication was terrible. The flight was delayed due to Pakistan closing air space. Turkish rescheduled but no real help in Istanbul.

Points positifs : The flight attendants were kind and attentive and professional. I enjoyed being able to watch movies of my choice. Great selection of entertainment available. Food was good and the Hagen Daze ice cream was a great surprise!
Points négatifs : I’m thin but 177cm tall (long legs) so the seats were wide but leg room was uncomfortable for me. Also, the posture of the seats are not good for spinal or neck alignment so, again not comfortable. No support for the lower back and very limited reclinablity.

Points négatifs : The organization for the check-in was messy at best and there was mo clear indication to direct passengers to their flight. Everything in Orly Siuth is narrow and a single waiting line would block almost all traffic, creating further confusion and frustration. Borading on the bus to take us to our plane was not very pleasant to say the least. The passengers were packed like sardines and as many as possible were packed in. The heat was intense, in excess of 30 degrees celsius. There was no air conditioning and for some perverse reason the driver took a malicious pleasure driving around the airport, even coming around to the same exit we departed from. We arrived in sweat. The rest of the flight was uneventful but the landing was a bit rough.

Points négatifs : I didn't realized we were on a code share flight from Seoul to Hanoi until we got to check in counter and they couldn't issue boarding pass even though it was a through check in for till Hanoi. In our booking itinerary it was printed as Korean air with a small print that said operated by jinair. It wasn't so bad but the hassle of going to another terminal to board and being in a smaller aircraft after a long flight wasn't the best.

Points négatifs : Very narrow seats with very very limited leg room. I’m only 5’4” tall and had no leg room. My sister is 5’11” and had leg cramps from the 4.5 hour flight because of the lack of leg room. Probably time to replace this plane.

Premier bonheur de devoir payer 63 euros de plus pour éviter d'être disséminés aux 4 coins de l'avion, le système par défaut ayant fait cela !!! Deuxième bonheur l'avion est en fait quasi vide..

Points positifs : I was not put on the plane because they said my seat did not existed! I had purchased my ticket 3 months prior to departure and they said I did not have a seat on the plane due to overbooking. They clearly gave my seat away to someone else and this is not acceptable.

Asked the airline to change the flight so the wait would be significantly less. Very rude China Eastern staff who yelled instead of trying

Points négatifs : CE is budget carrier so you are often not walking into or out of terminal in China . You are on minibus commuting to/from plane. Once you land it may still be a 30-40 min commute to parking spot and minibus to terminal.

It would turn on and off on its own, but since it was an overnight flight and I was tired, I slept most of the way so didn’t complain. Just had to dim the screen for the times it would turn on automatically while I was trying to sleep. 2nd leg had
Points négatifs : I understand it is a Chinese airline, but I wish there was more English spoken, or the flight attendants not assume everyone who is Asian understands Chinese, especially since the flights are international.
Points négatifs : Dont expect for them to deliver on transportation and accomodations if you fly on Business class as adevrtised in their web page. It was imposible to get them to answer my requests by phone, email and in person.

Points négatifs : We meet different problem in this flight. First, the boarding start late and we arrive late more than one hour. They could organize the entrance with range of number. The food was ok, but the beverage is poor, just half glass of wine or juice. no more. one small bottle should be normal fro lunch or dinner.

Points négatifs : Snacks and water ran out during the last several hours of the flight. For shorter people, their feet would have difficulty touching the floor.
Points positifs : I liked playing tetris and pacman with a controller that was like that of a console. My flight had a lot of empty seats, and I noticed they staggered the seating so that there was nobody in front of me or behind me. Flight crew was genuinely nice and helpful even though we didn't speak the same language. The little cup holder was actually pretty cool. There even seemed to be ample leg room compared to other Chinese international flights I've been on. I've flown previously with china southern and China eastern, so that is my basis for comparison.
Points négatifs : They didn't give me boarding passes for both flights (had a long layover in china). Other airlines printed both at the start of trip. This added quite a bit of confusion for me, seemingly unnecessarily. Also, I'm a bit disappointed in their free hotel room deal for long layovers. When I had a long layover previously with either china southern or china easter (can't remember which one), I got my own free hotel room, a free meal, and a free ride to and from the hotel. That was a real perk for my 12 hour layover. The deal with xiaman is you get a free hotel room, but you have to share it with a stranger of the same gender, and you have to pay for taxi to and from the hotel. Although you do supposedly get a free meal, I chose not to take them up on the hotel offer. Instead I took them up on their transfers lounge. This is a dark, quiet room full of dingy, dirty padded chairs and people sprawled out and snoring. I would have stayed more than 15 minutes if there were more phone charging plugs, but instead I went and ate mcdonalds and found a plug in at the kfc. Aside from all that, I would suggest getting some better Hollywood movies to choose from, as xiamen's competition has them beat there as well, in my opinion.

Points négatifs : Seats were extremely cramped. Once the person in the front reclined their seat it was very difficult to get out of the seat. Also better guidance is needed during boarding. Finally, my hand carry was checked 4 times by 4 different people, which means your staff doesn’t trust their own colleagues.
Points négatifs : This flight was poorly advertised as Economy Light. I had to pay $500 in baggage fees to being one checked ski bag round trip - more than the cost of my entire fare!
Points positifs : The flight was smooth and on time. The flight crew did everything alright.
Points négatifs : Connecting flights. All lies, no cooperation. Not a small airport as it takes nearly half an hour to get to Gate E. Too few characters allowed to explain all we went thru.
