Many people like me can eat Non vegetarian meals like chicken, fish , EXCEPT BEEF Ran out of the Salmon fish dish. I was given a snacking cheese sandwich instead! This would not have happened if you had selected other than a beef dish! Cramped seating. The airlines greed shows in picking out the seat placement design. The plane had extremely limited knee room. I'm five foot five inches tall and my knees were almost touching the seat in front."

Points négatifs : "There are a number of things that Etihad do that just degrade the quality and experience of the flight and I probably wouldn’t fly with them again as a result. I’ve listed these below: 1) Entertainment system is poorly appointed and travel in two seperate months found that little had been refreshed on the in flight programs. 2) The entertainment system is deactivated until the seat belt sign is turned off, and is deactivated again about 30 minutes prior to landing. 3) You practically have to cut off your arm to get some water. I would always bring my own water on the flight, but Australian regulations prevent more than 100mls being carried on flight. 4) The service is inconsistent, some staff are just downright rude and others are incredibly friendly. The time waiting after pressing the call bell is excessive and in one case my drink never arrived. 5) Unlike other airlines, they don’t give you a “menu” to chose from for the inflight meal. Instead they just come around asking “Chicken, Lamb or vegetarian”, and lack any real understanding of what’s actually in the food. 6) When you order a drink, they open the can pour some into a cup but don’t give you the remainder in the can. 7) The inflight wifi is expensive. 19.95 USD for 180mb puts them at one of the most expensive. Overall, I would have expected a bit more from an airline such as Etihad."

Points négatifs : "There was a medical emergency on board, so bathrooms did not get the necessary attention. Had to ask for toilet paper for two different bathrooms. Transferring to this flight as a NIGHTMARE. The boarding gate was a long way from the arrival gate. Went through an endless maze. Went through two security check points. At both check points I was sent for pat down. At the first there were five other women who were waiting for pat down. All white women. Discrimination???? At the second security, I had not even passed through the detector and the officer was waving me to get a pat down. At that point I started laughing. Next automated preclearance for immigration, then had to wait in line to talk to immigration officer. It is a miracle that I made it to the flight on time. Passport and boarding pass checked minimum of 6 times in this process. On arrival in Los Angeles, there was a bus ride to the terminal for luggage pick up. My husband was at the terminal I normally come to, I had no way to contact him (Indian sim), no change for pay phone. A fellow passenger was merciful and let me use her phone send husband messages and eventually we met up. I would not use Eithad for India to USA for this reason only. The security and immigration preclearance sucks."

Although I was still able to make it to my connecting flight in time, they automatically switch my flight due to my bags not having enough time to be transported to the plane. As a result, I was stranded in Abu Dhabi for 12 hours. In fairness it's not the airlines fault and they did provide a hotel and shuttle bus for my short stay. What added to the frustration was the fact that they waited for the shuttle bus to be completely full (with people sitting in aisles) before taking us to the hotel. We got there too late for dinner, since all that waiting around resulted in a two hour trip for what should have taken 20 minutes. Since we had to leave so early in the AM, we didn't get breakfast either."

Au bout de 2h de négociation nous avons obtenu une chambre d'hotel de 1h du matin à 6h.... pour reprendre le vol suivant à 8h30.... Aucune indemnisation, ni surclassement, as même un code wifi .... COMPAGNIE A EVITER A TOUT PRIS, c'est du LOW COST et le SAV est CATASTROPHIQUE. Consider reasonable connecting times (3-4 hours). 3. Relatively long time for check in"

Points négatifs : "All but one of the flight attendants, who unfortunately was not in my section, seemed rather terse and far less than kind. Simple requests from fellow passengers were regarded as inconvenient intrusions. The gal in my section would act like she had not heard the requests and then when the passengers would repeat themselves, she would snap, "Please wait till I've finished my service." She rarely would make eye contact with anyone while doing, "her service" and acted like it was a major inconvenience. It was a long flight but the crew on the way to New Delhi on Jet Airways were exceptional and made the flight as pleasant as possible. The Eithad crew lacked this attitude."

Points positifs : "I was more than pleasantly surprised by the level of service, comfort and food on this flight. I typically dread these long haul flights, but this was actually a pleasant experience. The fold flat seats are comfortable and roomy, the food and meal service, when you want it is convenient if you wish to dine on your schedule, not the airlines and the general high level and friendly service was much appreciated. The "lounge" space they have between the first and business class cabins is fantastic; its a small bar like area where you can get out of your seat and chat with other passengers, watch news, read or whatever, and not be confined to your seat. Overall a great experience, Arrived having slept, eat and drank well."
