We had a newer plane. I LOVED that the seatbelts had a little more room, and also that each seat had it down screen. I really enjoyed the new pre-flight video; it was entertaining and I appreciated that it allowed the crew to get ready, rather than demonstrate a seatbelt for us.

I am not sure how boarding groups work, but I will never understand why we don't board from the back of the plane to the front. People waiting and trying to load luggage or climb over others makes the pre-flight more stressful than it needs to be. (This is obviously not specific to you airline.)

The wait time for the connection was not too long. But on the way back to the US, I almost missed my flight from Miami to Washington-DC because I didint have enough time to go though imigration and also had to wait for my luggages. Thank you!

I liked the price of this ticket. Flight was on time and airplane was clean.

Crew didn't come to pick up trash before landing. I had ordered a vegetarian meal which was never logged into the system. They didn't offer an alternative or even a snack instead. Entertainment wasn't good and was confusing to figure out. in flight map didn't work.

The price originally, but after all that I will purchase my ticket at a higher price point. They are more responsive on social media than on the phone if you ever have questions.. not sure if that is a good point but it worked for me somehow.

They only allow 20kg luggage allowance and will have you pay every single additional kg you may have. They also only allow 5kg in cabin and they will ask you to transfer every additional lg on the checked luggage so you can pay the additional kg on the main luggage.... 4 days delay with no info on when the flight will finally leave, until the last minute... flight scheduled a 3:30am, boarding delayed once again, by about an hour..but after a 4-day-delay let’s not be picky...) Aircraft was really OLD, VERY small, flight attendants couldn’t read or speak either French or English properly : no one could understand a word of what they were saying between american and French people..wtf? No leg room and my seat was not reclining, they said thy couldn’t help it.. stayed in the same position for 8h.

WELL. what a journey. after deciding to not cancel a flight to jfk while there is a snow storm (who does that?!) we rerouted to Dulles airport in DC, hours away from NYC. since this airline doesn’t fly to dulles, hundreds of passengers were left with no answers as to where our luggage was, how to get home, and to top it off— they didn’t even announce which airport we were landing at until we landed! i’m a young woman traveling alone and this experience had me frightened. the absolute WORST travel experience of my life! the only plus side of this is that the plane didn’t crash. i’m at a local hotel with no luggage or answers as to how i will be receiving my luggage. xl airways basically said “good luck” and sent us off with no information whatsoever. no hotel voucher, no plane voucher, nothing. inexcusable and almost feels like a joke. PLEASE remove xl airways from kayak. this evenings experience from france to dc, a ten hour journey, was sent from a horror film, and i am starting to think the whole airline is a scam. kayak should not associate with xl especially after this experience! do not subject fliers to this airline.

I booked a flight from Lisbon to JFK with a stopover in Madrid. Instead of going to JFK, my flight landed in Boston. There was no AirEuropa representative in Boston. The state police told all of the passengers that we were considered stranded and that we had to figure it out ourselves and then seek reimbursement from AirEuropa. I had to take a greyhound bus in the middle of the night to get to NYC. It's as terrible as it sounds. I am filing a complaint with AirEuropa

After 2 days at the airport I still waiting for the airline to give me a date and new time for another flight since the airport is having problems after the storms on Wednesday, they don’t have a counter or anything where travelers can ask questions and have problems solve. They keep making you come but with no guarantee of anything. No one knows nothing, it’s very bad the way they are managing the situation.

They only allow 20kg luggage allowance and will have you pay every single additional kg you may have. They also only allow 5kg in cabin and they will ask you to transfer every additional lg on the checked luggage so you can pay the additional kg on the main luggage.... 4 days delay with no info on when the flight will finally leave, until the last minute... flight scheduled a 3:30am, boarding delayed once again, by about an hour..but after a 4-day-delay let’s not be picky...) Aircraft was really OLD, VERY small, flight attendants couldn’t read or speak either French or English properly : no one could understand a word of what they were saying between american and French people..wtf? No leg room and my seat was not reclining, they said thy couldn’t help it.. stayed in the same position for 8h.

The short version: do not fly this airline. On their nest day they are mediocre but if anything goes wrong they are impossible to contact and you will be on your own. Spend the extra 100-200 for a company with decent customer service, consider it insurance. The full story: Disclaimer - there was a snow storm for our return flight. Xl decided to fly anyway and we were forced to land at Dulles (dc) instead of JFK (nyc) a full 300 miles away. We had no contact with the airline once we landed and were not given our bags. We landed ~ 10 pm and spent the next 3 hours attempting to find an xl representative who could explain to us how we were supposed to get home. I ended up sharing a rental car with some passengers at our expense and driving all night. Apparently xl got a shuttle to pick up the rest of the passengers at 10 am but they were forced to sleep at the airport. I spent all day attempting to contact xl about getting my bags; their customer service is a joke. When you call them you are presented with 4 possible options - 3 of them inform you to email the company instead and the 4th went straight to a voicemail system assuring that they would "call back". I ended up going to JFK where they were sending the plane with our bags to arrive at 7 pm. 11pm came around with no bags so I gave up and went home. Apparently they got the bags off the plane at 1 am; I had to return to pick them up the next day.

It was nonstop flight from NYC to Paris

Old, small plane. no entertainment (no TV screens) and cramped like cattle. They nickle and dime you for everything and their baggage fees are exorbitant. Also since when did the weight limit for an international flight become 20kg. Uh. Gross.

Check in at airport staff Alba was very nice and helpful. Airplane crew was friendly but some of the air hostesses push their way through the pushing customers

Needed my family to be together at flight. Customer service was useless and did not help to resolve the problem. It was only resolve at last minute at the airport check in. Jose the supervisor at sift 10!am was like a robot about the allocation sitting. Did not understand personal circumstances to have a family flying together on a 9 house flight. Customer service is generally useless and a very unpleasant experience, the new seat charges and the inflexibility is making me wonder if I will choose air Europa again for my flights from the US. Flight was also delay due to some lugage delays. Pretty messy experience overall.

Flight was delayed for 3 days On the day of departure, actual departure time was 12 hours after initial Rude and uninformed staff Flew without luggage, did not communicate that we did not have luggage on the flight, and didn't receive luggage until 3 days later Did not offer any compensation for hotels, delays, lost luggage etc. Some were in the airport for almost 72 hours with only $15 vouchers Worst experience of my life, surprise they are still in business and that any firm took them out of bankruptcy

Much more pleasant than my first flight with this airline. Professional staff, easy boarding.

I paid $60 extra for an exit seat but it turned out those seats could be free and up for grabs after the flight takes off. When I arrived to my row I found it empty which made me happy and I felt it was worth the price to "upgrade" since I could now stretch out and have space around me. However, after take off everybody ran up to take the empty seats and the flight attendants said it was allowed. Kind of annoying I paid extra but nobody else did and got the same amenity as I did. Won't be doing that again.

Aircraft was really OLD, VERY small, flight attendants couldn’t read or speak either French or English properly : no one could understand a word of what they were saying between american and French people..wtf? No leg room and my seat was not reclining, they said thy couldn’t help it.. stayed in the same position for 8h.

The crew are always excellent.

The comfort is horrible. Airline companies keep shrinking the seats and charging more. Also they keep serving less food. And flight changes.

The staff in Miami Airport is really bad, worst attitude I have seen, old planes, not comfortable, definetly the worst major airline now.

American continues to surprise through their lack of consideration and cheapness Prefer to have seat empty on the front rather than move passengers that are loyal frequent flyers. The most important point for American is you have to pay for everything including for flight status. No longer miles flew but how much you pay them

WELL. what a journey. after deciding to not cancel a flight to jfk while there is a snow storm (who does that?!) we rerouted to Dulles airport in DC, hours away from NYC. since this airline doesn’t fly to dulles, hundreds of passengers were left with no answers as to where our luggage was, how to get home, and to top it off— they didn’t even announce which airport we were landing at until we landed! i’m a young woman traveling alone and this experience had me frightened. the absolute WORST travel experience of my life! the only plus side of this is that the plane didn’t crash. i’m at a local hotel with no luggage or answers as to how i will be receiving my luggage. xl airways basically said “good luck” and sent us off with no information whatsoever. no hotel voucher, no plane voucher, nothing. inexcusable and almost feels like a joke. PLEASE remove xl airways from kayak. this evenings experience from france to dc, a ten hour journey, was sent from a horror film, and i am starting to think the whole airline is a scam. kayak should not associate with xl especially after this experience! do not subject fliers to this airline.

The short version: do not fly this airline. On their nest day they are mediocre but if anything goes wrong they are impossible to contact and you will be on your own. Spend the extra 100-200 for a company with decent customer service, consider it insurance. The full story: Disclaimer - there was a snow storm for our return flight. Xl decided to fly anyway and we were forced to land at Dulles (dc) instead of JFK (nyc) a full 300 miles away. We had no contact with the airline once we landed and were not given our bags. We landed ~ 10 pm and spent the next 3 hours attempting to find an xl representative who could explain to us how we were supposed to get home. I ended up sharing a rental car with some passengers at our expense and driving all night. Apparently xl got a shuttle to pick up the rest of the passengers at 10 am but they were forced to sleep at the airport. I spent all day attempting to contact xl about getting my bags; their customer service is a joke. When you call them you are presented with 4 possible options - 3 of them inform you to email the company instead and the 4th went straight to a voicemail system assuring that they would "call back". I ended up going to JFK where they were sending the plane with our bags to arrive at 7 pm. 11pm came around with no bags so I gave up and went home. Apparently they got the bags off the plane at 1 am; I had to return to pick them up the next day.

Le vol a été dévié vers Washington. Aucun suivi ou information a la descente de l'avion. Meme le personnel de l'aéroport n'arrivait pas à joindre la compagnie par téléphone. Quand on dévie un avion d'une destination à plus de 450 kms de la déstination prévue, on s'assure d'au moins appeler le personnel de l'aéroport pour lui dire de transmettre des infos aux passagers.

I liked the price of this ticket. Flight was on time and airplane was clean.

Crew didn't come to pick up trash before landing. I had ordered a vegetarian meal which was never logged into the system. They didn't offer an alternative or even a snack instead. Entertainment wasn't good and was confusing to figure out. in flight map didn't work.

Flight was delayed for 3 days On the day of departure, actual departure time was 12 hours after initial Rude and uninformed staff Flew without luggage, did not communicate that we did not have luggage on the flight, and didn't receive luggage until 3 days later Did not offer any compensation for hotels, delays, lost luggage etc. Some were in the airport for almost 72 hours with only $15 vouchers Worst experience of my life, surprise they are still in business and that any firm took them out of bankruptcy
