Seats are not uncomfortable, which is different from some airlines we’ve been on, and we really like the adjustable headrest where the sides can be flipped up to keep your head from rolling around while snoozing. We like that the silverware is actually metal instead of plastic!"

The bread and the filling was pretty tasteless. Why not just have a healthy fruit bowl? Would have liked to see some English language reading material in the seat back pocket – it appeared to be only German language. Alternatively, it would be great if the flight attendants could offer non-German language reading materials upon request."

My flight back was a red eye and was quiet so I was able to sleep most of the way."

I my second meal looked like fish and turned out to be pork (I think?). They also only came around with the beverage cart once in the 8 hour flight (just before our first meal); I had to ring my call button to get water. The plane was pretty dated as well. I've seen worse but the screens were dated and all of the movies were fairly depressing. First, I'd suggest a couple more comedy's or rom-coms. Even a couple extra family friendly cartoons would be preferable to all the war/drama/dark options. Second, I'd suggest having the movies on demand rather than play one after another where passengers have to scroll through channels and keep catching movies part way through. A simple solution would be to have WiFi and streaming on flights which was also not available. This should be expected with international flight and would allow for on demand movies and music rather than the dated system currently in place."

And, all this after paying $1500 per person for our economy seats. I can fly LAX to Bali for 1/3 the price."

You kind of travel without going to Tahiti! The crew is always very pleasant. The food is better than with any American airline."

Sas and Flyus didn't notify us and sas customer service had to actually use 5 min to verify that flight was cancelled after we called them. That left some poor rebooking options. Anyway, I am very disappointed how Sas didn't notify us. It would have been even nastier if we had got to the airport before realizing that flight was cancelled."

I barely made the flight. I am also still waiting on United Airlines to find my luggage, they are supposed to call me and drop off my luggage."

When I expressed concern to the SFO ground crew, they said "You'll be taken care of in Copenhagen" in a very dismissive manner. I noted that we would miss our connecting flight (Copenhagen to LHR) and that there wouldn't be another direct flight that day. The SFO crew member told me that I was wrong that there was another flight available (a 4:30 pm flight). I told her that that flight wasn't on the SAS website and she told me that I didn't know what I was talking about in a rude manner. When I arrived in Copenhagen, the ground crew informed me that there was not a 4:30 pm flight and there never was. To get to London, I had to be fly first to Frankfurt then to London on another airline. Overall, this delay cost me over 6 hours. Utterly unacceptable and will never fly SAS again."

In the future a partial reimbursement for the flight, access to the priority lounge or a more comfortable facility such as a hotel would provide the passengers with compensation proportional to the inconvenience."

Our flight from Paris to KEF on Icelnd Air was delayed (for unclear reasons) recently, which meant we would miss the connecting flight from KEF back to the states. Unlike some US airlines (looking at you, United and Delta) which do very little for you in this situation, Iceland Air really stepped up. First, they paid for food at the gate. The last time I was delyed by Delta, we got airplane snacks (pop and tiny cookies). IA paid the bill for everyone at the nearby Brioche Doree for a sandwich, drink, and dessert. Then, when we got to KEF, they had delayed the flights home, just long enough that many US travellers got on those connecting flights. And they helped us sort out our luggage. (Ours didn’tmake ourflight, but we were grateful to get home nonetheless.) US carriers could really learn a lesson from Icelnd Air."

My response to her was wait a minute you are working, I paid 300+ for this seat. She shrugged. When she came around with her cart she offered me two chocolate bars? In reykavitch we sat on the tarmack waiting for passengers delayed from Berlin. They could have delayed boarding a little more since the flight was delayed anyway."
