"Je suis un Franco Americain de 63 ans residant aux US depuis 38+ ans. Apparement mon retour vers Miami a ete booké sans baggage !!!??? De toute evidence une grossiere et innacceptable erreur !!! Comment puis rentrer chez moi sans bagagge ??? Imaginez ma surprise quand Air France m'a informé au "checkin" que mon billet de retOur n'incluait pas un baggage et a refusé de me laisser embarquer avec ma valise de 21 kilos si je ne payais pas un " suplement de €60. A €960+ ce billet ne qualifie pas particulierement de billet "discount"!!!??? Pour compliquer les choses encore un peu plus suite a un traumatisant vol de picpokets dans le metro parisien qq jours avant mon retour je n'avais plus de carte bancaire. Depuis presque 40 ans de voyages entre mes 2 pays je n'ai jamais eu une experience plus desagreable et humiliante dans un aeroport. De retour en Floride a la maison je suis stressé triste humilié et terriblement deçu par ce dernier jour dans ma ville lumiere de naissance."

"I liked that once up, things ran more smoothly and we still landed on time despite a 45+ minute delay leaving the gate. The boarding process was another story. With the demand for proof of a negative COVID test prior to boarding by the US, Air France had just 2 staff members checking these tests results, collecting a paper affidavit of sorts also required by the US, and checking boarding passes and passports for an entire Boeing 777 full of passengers. There were other staff around This seemed preposterous. Then, when I finally boarded, the luggage was still be loaded onto the plane at 1:50pm for a flight schedule to leave at 1:15pm."

"Seats were narrow and uncomfortable ( business ) and there was only one toilet for both business and premier…. The one up front was blocked as it was solely for the crew …. One always had to wait in line with 3/4 people in front of you ..at minimum….. while you waited , the crew made it clear that you were in their way …. Fair enough as we had to stand partially in the galley…"

Others in Greece and Italy tried to assist as well and found same and when calling 800 numbers the calls were not going thru or hold time was overly extreme. Was told at Athens check in to upgrade in Instanbul and to go to transfer desk to get upgrade. An upgrade of $1200.00 Euro's is extreme Being packed like sardines for a 10 plus hour flight is not good. It is also unhealthy. Turkish Airlines should consider something other then the 777 for any international flying."

I later found out something very similar had happened to a man from London, a couple from Boston, three people from Ghana, and many more that were taken advantage of in an attempt to sell tickets for them to go home. Never in my life have I seen such corruption first hand in a business that claims to be professional. I travel with them roughly twice a year so I'm not really a huge spender when it comes to their service, however I have suggested many to use their airlines. Never again will I make this mistake, and never again will I fly with them. I think I would rather spend the few extra hundred dollars than to have to experience that again. Turkish airlines you have lost my service and my respect."

My flt coming to ABV, airline left my baggage in turkey too and had no representative at airport to inform us what happened. Seems airline treats flights to Nigeria this way"

Points négatifs : "I had a 22 hour layover. On the website, Turkish Airlines advertises they cover hotel rooms for anyone with a layover exceeding 15 hours. However, it's impossible to get a e-visa to allow Americans to leave the airport to take advantage of this. There is one hotel inside the airport, however it's extremely expensive and booked well in advance. While the service was decent on the plane, inside the airport the TA employee's were very rude and not at all helpful. So be prepared to spend the night on the floor or an uncomfortable bench. Won't fly on this airline ever again."

When we were directed to security at Gate Z, there was a huge mob of people, not really in lines. We didn’t know what we were waiting for or where to stand, but we and others around us were very worried about missing our next flight. There was no Lufthansa representative to help. Finally someone directed some of us to a long roundabout back way to Gate Z security. We did get to our gate in time for boarding, only because it had been delayed. Then we sat in the plane for over half an hour. Altogether, it took off more than an hour late, so we missed our flight from Chicago to Minneapolis."

Points négatifs : "Flight was delayed in Frankfurt due to technical issues. That was fixed, but ended up missing the flight to Minneapolis. Lufthansa provided vouchers to hotel and shuttle to the hotel (holiday inn express) and back to the airport. We stood out in the cold for 45 mins but the shuttle did not show up. Ended up taking Uber to the hotel only to find out their shuttle service does not start in the morning before 5:30 am. They booked me on a 6 am flight with 5:45 boarding time. The hotel scheduled a taxi to pick me up at 3:30 am to make back to the airport on time. I ended up spending $70 and I’m totally exhausted. I wished I just stayed at the airport. Not to mention the quality of the hotel accommodations is less than average. Very disappointed with how this whole situation was managed."

Points négatifs : "1. The comfort in economy class was insulting and horrible. I am 6'3", 175lbs and was trapped in one uncompromisingly uncomfortable position for 8+ hours. Torture is a word that comes to mind. If I were a smaller sized person, 5'8" or less, perhaps this may be acceptable, but for anyone over 6'. forget it. You must pay loads extra to be given a respectable seat. I am hopeful that I don't develop a blood clot from this flight. This lack of room is a seriously dangerous situation for many people on long-distance flights. 2. The seat recline feature added further insult to the mix. Once airborne, the lady in the seat in front of me sent her seat into what was left of any personal space or legroom I had. The video screen on the setback in front of me was literally 6" from my face now. Several people who were also of taller size complained, one was so adamant about retaining his space that he fought verbally with the lady in front of him, and eventually a stewardess had to be called. My wife complained on my behalf, and was able to get the lady in front of me to reposition her seat, but eventually, I noticed it somehow found its way back to recline again. I know Lufthansa is not alone with this predicament, but something HAS TO BE DONE to fix this huge problem with air travel. 3. The food on the flight to Germany was way better than the return trip. The meal consisted of mushy carrots, greasy mashed potato-like side, and a piece of OK chicken smothered in 'Murican BBQ sauce. I was insulted. Lufthansa had been better than this in the past. Oh, and the dinner roll was so dry and crumbly, it could have been weeks old. The snack before landing was called pizza, but I wouldn't call it that It was a bunch of tasteless dough, a little bit of tomato like sauce and a smattering of cheese. I wish Lufthansa would stick to what they do best; German-influenced food. Be true to who you are. Most people I know love German food, and I always have looked forward to LH food selections. Not now."

Points positifs : "We had a very short connection as a result of a long delay in our flight from Athens to Munich. Lufthansa held the gate open and helped us get on board tom our flight to Chicago. The plane was big, roomy and the seats were comfortable. There were adequate number of toilets so people didn't have to stand in long lines. The crew was very friendly in an efficient way, not like in Asian airlines where the passenger gets coddled. I particularly appreciated the serving of water/juices every so often to stay hydrated."

The audio jack was also not working great; sometimes I did not have audio in my right earbud and I had to turn and fidget the plug. The earbuds provided by the airline did not even work when plugged into the screen, I had to use my own earbuds."
