Foot cubby is narrow and constrictive, bordering on claustrophobic."

We ended up with no carry on luggages with us boarded. Only to find quite a lot of bags that are much bigger than ours were allowed to be in the cabin."

I explained to numerous employees my situation and they casually exclaimed I should be able to make it in. Once I got into the airport I could barely get through security since I did not have my boarding pass. I kept explaining I don't have a boarding pass because I could not check into my flight to obtain it. Then when they finally let me through with only 10 minutes to spare before my flight's gate would close, I finally reached the boarding desk only to be told I had to wait because out of the two men who were scanning boarding passes, they were too busy to help me. I then had to explain three times that I had already paid for and booked my flight, however, I could not check in online and was having an issue with an error that stated I was missing information, even though there was nothing marked in red or anything marked to edit, so each time I tried it denied me. I also tried calling for customer support and did not get a hold of anyone because the lines were too busy. After explaining all of this to the man at boarding, he made me wait an additional 5 minutes before helping me check into the flight and print out my boarding pass. I was treated like a stand-by customer and I did not appreciate it since I paid for this flight and tried to check in 24 hours prior. I was expecting much more from Lufthansa, as my boyfriend recommended this flight company to me, but I was extremely disappointed in so many ways it makes me question whether I want to fly this airline again for future trips abroad."

Boarding was by far the worst I've see in the 30 years I'm flying, no order, you could barely understand the person making the announcements. The entertainment system was outdated (screen size and resolution) as well as the controls were extremely hard to use. The seats were hard to use and lean back. A lot of force was required to even make them move 1 in. The AC system was NOT working. It felt like we were inside an oven. I've repeatedly asked the crew to fix the AC along with other passengers, and their response was we are going to look into it. It took over 2 hours for the plane to start cooling down. By that time I was sweating profusely and had a headache. Despite the fact that we made our reservations 3 months before the flight, we did not have a seat assigned and we had to wait, in line, for over 20 minutes to talk to a customer rep in order to figure out what's the issue with our seat assignment. To top all that my wife was pregnant and there were no places for her to seat while we waited for a resolution to this matter."

Traffic to get into the airport was the worst I've ever seen. When we finally arrived, Although we checked in prior to arrival, we still had to wait in line for over an hour to check in our bags! We told the agents three times our flight was boarding, however, they were almost nasty and would not expedite us. they finally started to call our flight and we were pulled from the line, even then it was very disorganized how we were processed. We had to run through security and the long terminal and along with others in our flight that had been in line, were the last to board as the flight was delayed waiting for us. One of the worst experiences ever. They really need to do something about their check in process as we were not the only ones subjected to these delays. The plane had technical problems landing and had to be towed in but thank God we made it."

I have a condition on my leg and i cannot run, so i walked really fast through the airport and I was so happy to see that they were waiting for my delayed flight... which is very unusual. Thank you!!!!"

Return flight was Direct from Madrid to Miami and 4 hour layover in Miami to Tampa. The booking was advertised as a British Airlines flight, although operated by Iberia and American on the return. I found the comfort of the accommodations, food, and service in business class to be on par with, or better than, competitors'. We especially liked the entertainment/communication system built into every cubicle - good sound, lots of good movies and shows, and great screen quality. The multicourse meals had good options and were fresh tasting."
Points négatifs : "The Madrid leg of the journey, operated by Iberian Air on route 6231, destroyed the goodwill earned by British Airlines. Iberian Air delayed our departure from Madrid for technical difficulties, which I understand is the risk in air travel. When Iberian Air finally cancelled flight 6231 it became obvious we would miss our connection flight home in US. I began contacting the airlines for rescheduling/reimbursement requests. British Air sent me to a customer service line which rang busy for 4 hours straight. Iberian said they were sorry for the inconvenience but they could get us a free snack at the snack bar and book us on the next connecting flight in Miami (which was 45 minutes after the flight we had missed. It didn't matter that customs procedures in US would likely overlap that leg as well. American Airlines (the operating partner in the US) advised that either Iberian or British Air would have to reimburse for a new flight. I ended up just renting a car in Miami and driving the 300 miles back to Tampa, after 24 hours of air travel and missing both the connections. The upside is that Kayak was prompt in sending electronic updates from the airlines notifying of the delayed flight time/need for new seats/flight cancellation. Iberian Airlines never even changed its online flight status for the original flight which it cancelled."

TAP policy states they allow choosing a seat starting 36 hours of departure, but the poorly designed website let me book seats, and then asked me to pay; at the airport they also told me I had to pay on check-in to choose a seat. Worst of all, at the gate, the waiting area forces all passengers to wait while standing in a big herd - an hour - while police spot check random passenger carry-ons and perform body checks."

Ran out of diet soda (and we weren't at the back of the plane). On the way over, the flight attendants gave us conflicting instructions about our toddle sons's ability to sleep on the floor or on our laps. The entertainment system didn't work."

Again in Lisbon we could not get the D tax because that custom agent wanted to see the merchandise which was being transferred to our Lisbon - Newark flight. We loss refunds of over $400. This problem ruined a perfect trip."

Points négatifs : "It's always fun to go into the bathroom and find a sink ful of puke in there. It had been there for some time by the stench and they way it had slopped all over. I told the flight attendant and they were like oh well. It was gross. Add that on top of I am a DISABLED person and I could not carry my case up the steps and was told someone would bring it up. They did not. It went under the plane with no tag and then when I arrived in Lisbon it was somehow my fault. The flight crew there trying to "assist" were horrendous. I was actually told I should not be flying internationally if I can't carry my bag. Isn't there rules about bags flying unattended? Even internationally. How was my LAPTOP case supposed to get to EWR without a tag? Shouldn't it have been checked? Shouldn't the crew have noticed this and said something to flight attendants? The club and plane both were filthy. The first seat I sat in in the club smelled so strongly of pee I had to go stand (as it was so crowded) I am a million mile flyer and I will never fly TAP again."

When they found out I insisted on not checking my bag, they told me they would "keep it" in the meantime. Turned out they went ahead and threw the bag onto the plane. We ended up having to go find it at lost and found. They initially told me it was going to only take 5-10 mins to retrieve my luggage, but then 40 mins passed and still nothing. My poor mom had to wait by the empty belt - and boarding started and the luggage still wasn't there. They forced us to pay 35 euros (it's principle, not the money) when their policy said nothing about it when I booked it on the website. My mom was in tears and I had the worst few hours of my life. TAP - you are disgusting. It takes a lot for me to be upset but you really did everything out of your way to make us suffer. Even told us we might have to miss our flight. You put a huge dent on my trip."
