After a number of flights in Economy on other airlines I'm spoiled by Singapore Airlines and also by Business Class. And their fares seemed much less than others for the JFK to FRA route. I travel a lot, I usually fly Qantas and they are very good at providing seats closer to the front. I will be reluctant to fly Singapore Airlines again due to the fact that they were not accommodating at all."

They let you check two large suit cases plus a carry on and a personal item. That all FREE!!! I travel pretty light but it was great to know they don't Nickle and dime you for bags or anything else for that matter. Staff looks amazing and treats you first class even when your in economy. They are so polite and really genuinely want to give you a above and beyond experience. And they over achieve at it! They meals are great and very satisfying. The planes are big and roomy even in economy seats. On our return flight we had a brand new plane which had a sleek touch screen monitor and controller. There mad tons of media available (articles, language games, games, movies, tv shows and more) with USB ports to charge devices on each seat. Plus 10inch personal monitors. Earbuds were included free of charge, aswell as socks toothbrush and tooth paste. They have is two big meals on our direct flight (awesome that they have direct flights). Plus, they offered free snacks too and gave us a full can of soda vs. a small cup. They come through several times offering coffee, tea, water and snacks. All free of charge. This was my first time flying Singapore Airlines and I loved it!!! I wish Everyone was this amazing! Norwegian Airlines was the opposite as far as charging for everything! Had to pay each stop for any luggage ($100 per checked bag). No meals free or charge. They wanted money for everything! And yea a skimpy sandwich was $9.00 :(."

I bought from you air tickets with Scoot airlines from H.K to Singapore on 30 December and back to H.K on the 3 January. when I came to the H.K airport to check in with scoot airlines they said to me that I can't go to Singapore because my passport expired on 2 of June and it's less than 6 months if I want to go to Singapore I need to have in my passport more than 6months. sow in the end I lost the ticket to Singapore and not only this I went back to H.K I toke a room in the hotel 150$ and the day after I went to the embassy of Israel to extend my passport and I bought a new air tickets with Cathay Pacific 350$ to go to Singapore. its mean that I lost my ticket +500$ .and all this because you never informed me that my passport needs to be valid more than 6 months . you can see also in your letter its written there that my passport need to be valid there is not any thing about 6 months. if you was telling me that before I could change my passport. sow pleas I insist that you will pay me back half on my ticket that I lost + my expenses 500$. if I will not get it back my story will be all over in the internet about you I suffered a lot"

I hope my luggage arrives like they say a day later."

On a different CP flight, a different staff was helping a couple switch with other passengers so they can sit next to each other. That would have been nice if they did that for me when I asked for a window seat."

Inflight service was good but there was an unwritten Cathay Pacific rule that I was not aware of.........each passenger is restricted to two alcohol beverage drinks in any one hour period."

You were so obsessed with your own self interests that the general safety of your fellow passengers was not important. That must have been some email that you had to keep typing even as the plane was pulling away from the gate. So important in fact that you didn't touch your laptop for another two+ hours. But you did get it out again and proceeded to pull the same stunt as we descended. Stunning behaviour. I enjoyed how you convinced the crew to put your laptop in the overhead bin both times. I believe the clincher was the four carry on bags you had with you. Priceless. Guess you should be grateful you weren't on a US domestic flight. But I'm sure you would have turned the story away from you and on to the crew."

Points négatifs : "I am not a frequent flier on Cathay. I would say I would think twice before buying my next ticket. Their call centers and counter staff leave a huge amount to be desired. I called their help desk when I couldn't access my reservation. My problem is their systems push your first and middle names together as a first name in their systems so I couldn't access my reservation. I really, really struggled understanding the person on their help desk. Then 48 hours before my flight I tried to book my seats and get my boarding pass. There were no seats for a party of 3 traveling together and only middle seats for the 3 of us. I waited for 20 minutes calling their support center. Of course their team could not help. All seats were booked. Luckily she offered to book my seats for the return and we managed to get the last 3 together in the back of the plane. If you book through Kayak recommend immediately calling to book seat numbers. I have ran out of room but returning from Vancouver their systems didn't read American passports and everyone tried to get tickets issued the staff at the desk laughed when told and said they knew it was a problem....but it did keep the many skiers busy in the self service line:) Also the desk opens 2hours and 59 minutes before departure so don't arrive early"

It would also be understandable if the row right before me wasn't served 20 mins prior to us, and the row right after me wasn't served 15 mins before us. I just couldn't understand how it was arranged. Maybe I should've ask for service right before they start serving meal."
Points positifs : "Cathay Pacific has the most attentive flight attendants of any airline on the planet. We had a tight connection in Hong Kong. They accommodated us, by having us move up to Business Class just before landing so that we could get off the plane first. We made our connection without any problem."

The company went out of its way to give me an aisle seat. A window seat would have resulted in a badly hurting elbow. The seats in Economy Premium are OK, nice pitch and width : 2+4+2, instead of 3+3+3 in Economy."
Points négatifs : "The seats in Economy Premium have a foot-rest, that is badly designed and badly kept. Nothing to do with the kind they have in Business class. Push the button, it will spring up. This is OK for short people with short legs, like average Vietnamese customers. It is a pain for taller people with longer legs. It takes a lot of strength to push the footrest into its former position. In my seat, two attendants came to my help and could not do it. Something apparently was broken. I spent 13 miserable hours without being able to find a comfortable position for my legs. I strongly suggest to Vietnam Airlines get rid of the footrests altogether, or find an easy-to-manage model."

Passengers were fiddling with their damned devices during takeoff and landing, and the crew shoulda laid down the law there."

The personal entertainment console worked perfectly with clear picture and sound, though the free headphones were uncomfortable. Boarding crew allowed us to cut in line since we had a 2 year old. Very appreciative for that, and appreciative for their sternness with those customers who were trying to slip in in front of us."

When we finally boarded and arrived in Siem Reap, we found out they had left everyone's luggage in Luang Prabang, and it wouldn't arrive in Siem Reap until 24 hours later. Horrible! Worst part, we were told by the airline's team in Siem Reap that this is a common occurrence on that flight! Will never fly Vietnam Airlines again."

They booked me on another one leaving 2 hours later, which was delayed by about another 5 hours. I suppose it was the weather, but a flight going to the same destination on the same airline managed to take off on time, and it was supposed to be leaving 40 minutes after my second flight. I have a hard time believing it was the weather, but who knows? There were absolutely zero gatw agents there to offer any helpful information. They eventually gave us food vouchers, but it was about 5 minutes after 90 percent of the applicable restaurants closed. Everyone on the flight was forced to eat at dairy queen, which quickly ran out of everything anyone wanted. I will never fly Vietnam Airlines again."
